Niki Chow and Raymond Wong hosted a feast in Causeway Bay to reward the cast and crew of TVB series Bottled Passion. Producer Lee Tim Shing and artists Elaine Yiu, Tracy Ip, Katy Kung, Jack Wu and Kelvin Chan attended. As the series is in the 'PK broadcast period' (in the ashes), where the broadcast coincides with several holidays, the average ratings is only 25-26 points. Tim Gor was very upset by how TVB haven't given him much attention, but he still appeared at the dinner gathering last night.

Regarding this, Tim Gor smiled and said he was not upset: "It's just a small issue, this broadcast period really doesn't have too many viewers, Christmas, Lunar New Years and Easter periods also have less people watching, but there will still be series releasing. Since I'm the chosen one, my path is chosen as well. I've experienced this many times in the last many years that I've been working in this industry."

Despite the 'PK period', Niki and Raymond are still filled with confidence on the 2 hour finale to broadcast on Monday. The two both hope to break 30 points in the ratings. Niki said: "Tim Gor said this broadcast period isn't good, but that's okay. I always hear viewers talk about the series, most important is to have the public response, more people watching." Niki also supports Tim Gor by describing him as a straightforward person.

Raymond felt the broadcast time is out of artists control: "I'm not sure if Tim Gor is upset, but luckily the series is getting good response, I'm am personally very happy."

Although Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung ended their 5 year marriage, the two are still raising their sons Lucas and Quintus together. Since the two have personal experiences of growing up in a family with divorced family, they never wanted their children to follow their footsteps. According to sources, after the cool down period, Nic and Cecilia's relationship started becoming better. Yesterday it was reported that a family photo was found on Facebook that belong to Mike, a Feng Shui Master and good friend of the couple.

After the meeting with Mike, Cecilia and oldest son (Lucas), Nic appeared yesterday at 10am coming out of his residence. The sleepy Nic waved to the reporters waiting outside of his residence, and when asked if his relationship with Cecilia is getting better? Nic joked: "Our relationship had always been bad!" Reporters were shocked to hear this and asked: "How can that be? You just had a family photo with the Feng Shui master friend!" Nic then patted one of the reporters back and pretended to have lost his memory: "I'm very sleepy."

Later, Nic arrived at the airport and was chased by reporters again. When reporters asked again about the reconciliation rumors: "Just now you answered the relationship was 'bad', are you joking with us?" After asking several more times and reporters being persistent, Nic finally said: "Well, she is the mother of my children after all. Why wouldn't we see each other? That's all I'm going to say." He met his friend Mike because of the New Years, but did he also invite Cecilia to join them? Nic answered: "If I see her, then I see her. I really didn't know he (Mike) would post the photo online, just leave it, I can't be upset too much."

The Hong Kong actor gave his girlfriend a diamond ring as a gift. It has been close to a year since Hong Kong actors Moses Chan and Aimee Chan started dating each other.

Despite receiving blessings and acceptance from the general public, the couple still has qualms about being seen together in public.

However, Moses was spotted on a date with his girlfriend last week.

The actor, who is currently on a break after completing filming for the movie Stairway to Heaven, was seen in public with Aimee on Christmas Eve.

The couple had lunch at a French restaurant, and when they were almost done with their meal, Moses surprised Aimee with a diamond ring.

While the actress was visibly happy with the gift, she did not put on the ring immediately.

The couple then went shopping after lunch.

When reporters approached the pair to ask for photographs, Moses readily agreed.

When probed on how the pair planned on spending Christmas Eve, the actor bashfully replied that he would be doing something for Aimee and hoped that it would be romantic.

On the other hand, Aimee would be cooking for Moses.

Experienced actor Wayne Lai, Maggie Siu, Michelle Yim and Aimee Chan were at the blessing ceremony for TVB new costume drama The Great Eunuch set in the Qing Dynasty. Initially Michelle withdrew from her role as 'Empress Dowager Cixi' due to schedule conflicts and Maggie Cheung replaced her for the Sales Presentation shooting. However, after a few twist and turns, the role lands back on Michelle once again. Despite all that, the limelight could not leave Maggie Siu as she is rumored to have secretly married martial arts actor, Vinz Sze Cho Lam!

Maggie Siu, who plays Empress Dowager Ci'an, did not directly respond to the marriage news, but kept a pleasant smile the whole time. When asked if she'll be giving out red envelopes this year? She said: "Artists have always gave out red envelopes! (Is there a different feeling when giving red envelopes out after marriage?) I will not talk about my personal life! I'll leave this topic for the press conference next time! (You have to hold a press conference, it's that big deal?) Of course!" As for Maggie Cheung, changing roles on short notice, expressed there are many outside opportunities, but she turned many TV and film jobs just to be in The Great Enunch. When speaking of When Heaven Burns banned in Mainland, Maggie (Siu) said viewers in Mainland can find friends to help them record the series: "I can't control this, after all if you want to watch, there will be a way to."

As the role 'Empress Dowager Cixi' was a regained role, Michelle said: "I was only able to get the role back because luckily the crew pushed back the filming. This time, I turned down many other opportunities to make room on my schedule to shoot this series. (Lost a lot of revenue?) I don't calculate that! Discussing other series now! (It's much more comforting shooting in Mainland?) The mechanism is different in the two places." As for Wayne, who plays Lee Lin Ying, expressed: "This time my role can't be distinguished between good or evil. It's not your average palace scheming dramas. It is about how Lee Lin Ying can survive in the palace."

Kevin Cheng debuted as a singer and then switched over to being an actor. Recently, depending on his role 'LAW BA' in TVB series Ghetto Justice, he became TV King in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia ('3 award' TV King). His popularity and salary takes a huge jump. In the series, his casual 'ghetto' dress and his buttock cleavage won Kevin a source of revenue and popularity.

It is close to 6 years since Kevin released a music album. Earlier when he attended an event, he expressed his desire to release an all new Mandarin album and fulfill his singer dream once again. Once the TV King's 'golden mouth' opens, many record companies approached him with intentions on helping him make his desire come true. A few days ago at 6pm, EEG executive Ng Yue and TVB executive Virgina Lok met up at Shangri-La Hotel in Kowloon and not long after, Kevin joined them. The three chatted closely for an hour, then Ng Yue left and EEG music producer Alex Fung joined them to continue the discussion. After another 2 hours, Kevin just silently sat there listening to the arrangements, while Miss Lok took note of the details on paper. When Kevin was leaving, he saw reporters taking pictures of him and he just smiled for the camera. However, he was unwilling to reveal anything and left the scene.

According to sources, EEG intends to put Kevin under their banner and open a Hong Kong Coliseum concert for him. Regarding the rumor, yesterday Kevin accepted [Oriental Daily] interview over the phone and frankly said: "Just discussing, I don't know what possibilities there will be. We'll have what I can do. (How did the discussion go?) Pleasant." He also expressed he does not have any representative work in the music scene yet and feels regretful. As for Miss Lok, she reveals it's not only music collaborations with EEG, there was also discussions on film productions: "Kevin also wants to shoot a film too. The most miserable is he doesn't have much time to record. He's still scheduling a time to record the theme song to The King of Boxing." Ng Yue was very secretive and just explained the meeting as a "coincidence". Looks like there are some differences in the responses of the three.

As Kevin is currently loaded with too many jobs, his manager is also looking after Fala Chen, Suki Tsui and other artists, so TVB immediately helped this TV King get a new manager. In simple terms, Kevin is really at the 'King' level with special treatment.

Yesterday 3 months pregnant Sonija Kwok attended an outdoor promotional event for TVB new series L'Escargot along with the other cast Michael Tse, Linda Chung, Ron Ng, Him Law and JJ Jia. Unfortunately, JJ was 30 minutes late to the promotion, leaving everyone else in the cold waiting for her. When Michael got on stage, he directly criticized JJ.

Pregnant Sonija appeared at the promotion in a short dress, leather jacket and 3-inch boots. Since the promotion was held outdoors in a garden with strong winds, Sonija and the cast were in a very difficult situation. Linda's short skirt was blown up several times, almost made her expose herself. Also with JJ late to the event, the cast were standing in the cold waiting for 30 minutes before the event could begin.

Michael couldn't help but to criticize JJ on stage: "It's one thing to be a rich girl (referring to her role), but still can't be late!" JJ quickly tried to patch things up: "I'm sorry, really sorry. My alarm clock went off, but I fell asleep again. I was used to sleeping late before, but for this promotion, I was so anxious I fell asleep at 7pm the night before and set up 2 alarms. (You should buy a third one.) I think I will have to, I could only treat everyone a meal to make it up."

For beauty, Sonija still attended the promotion in heels despite her pregnancy, she said: "If I'm stable while wearing it, no problem. I want to be a beautiful mother. I asked my husband first though." Asked of her baby's gender and if she's planning for a natural delivery? She expressed she's not sure yet: "I'm due in the middle of next year. I will have my baby in Hong Kong. Because I'm afraid there won't be delivery rooms, I booked one ahead of time. I don't mind whether the baby is a girl or a boy, but my husband hopes for a girl. (How many do you want to have?) 1 first. I will be living in HK after giving birth and I'm already on maternity leave now. In HK, I have my mother to take care of me." She admitted she now has a short temper and her husband has to withstand some beating from her.

Ron Ng expressed when he gets married in the future, he will live with his mother and if his girlfriend isn't willing to, then he will dump her. Asked if his current girlfriend is willing to? Ron said: "That's just what you all say." Asked if he's earning HK$150,000 to take part in a New Year's countdown show? He did not reveal he actual number, and just said "approximately." As for Michael, he laughed and said his appearance money for New Year's Eve is over a 100k.

Also, Him Law expressed he does not have to purchase a home yet. He said: "Wait a few more years. (Not convenient while dating?) Not now, I can still date while living with family. (Have you brought Tavia home to meet your family yet?) Who's Tavia? (Tavia Yeung!) No such thing, we aren't dating."

In TVB series Bottled Passion, Elaine Yiu's performance can be clearly seen on the front line. Although the series is only getting average ratings, viewers are praising Elaine endlessly. She personally feels Bottled Passion is a turning point in her acting career as well, since she left a deep impression on viewers. This is one of the roles she is most satisfied with, she said: "In fact my role is quite similar to myself. I am cold on the outside, but hot on the inside, so the acting went a lot smoother. Tim Gor has his vision when choosing this role for me." In the series, Elaine gave up everything because she loved Raymond Wong, but later she realized her lover is wholeheartedly cheating her. She said: "In the past, I would purposely do something to make my other half happy, like making soup in the late nights, just because I want him to be happy."

Currently single, Elaine previously caught the flower bouquet at Koni Lui's wedding. Asked if she's in a rush to marry someone? She laughed: "I actually want to have children more than get marry. Women has their physiologic restrictions when it comes to having babies, and I really like children, so I may not get marry first and then have children. I may even do a lightning marriage. However, right now I don't want to marry yet, haven't met the right person yet." Elaine frankly said she does have a pursuer now, but it is still in the observation phase, she said: "Right now, the guys that I encounter are often younger than me. I hope my other half is older than me because they will have their life experiences and know how to take care of people. I anticipate for my Mr. Right to appear someday."

Also, Elaine just finished shooting The King Makers and had a lot of scenes opposite of Wayne Lai. Because of the pressure, she got thinner and thinner, she said: "I put the pressure upon myself, I hope to do better, so whatever questions I have, I ask Wayne. I really thank him for all his advices, I learned a lot from him this time around."

Niki Chow won favor from TVB golden producer Lee Tim Shing as he invited her several times to take part in his television productions. Unfortunately, his invitations had never been successful until Bottled Passion, when Tim Gor appointed Niki to be the lead actress. Niki said: "Tim Gor told me he won't replace my role no matter what, just by this comment, I must shoot the series."

Niki frankly said the successful collaboration was entirely because of Tim Gor's one comment: "This time I'm participated in Bottled Passion entirely because of Tim Gor's comment, he told me he won't replace my role no matter what, it is because of that one comment, I will definitely shoot it. Many things are about fate, Tim Gor was so insisting, so I will really cherish this opportunity."

In the series, Niki played what she's best at, an emotional role. The character is reflected by the innermost feelings, which really shows the ups and downs of her acting. When asked if she has confidence in winning 'TV Queen' based on this role? She said: "I personally never thought about awards. Awards cannot be predicted, and I'm not acting because of awards. I am doing this for audience to watch."

Niki had always moved forward in her showbiz career, often accepting to take part in different kinds of TV series. She now has the qualifications of an artist, but Niki frankly said she doesn't want to have too many productions: "In the past, I just keep working and working, but now I just hope for quality, not quantity. I also hope to take some time off to absorb new knowledge and enrich myself."

TVB usually broadcasts three series during the prime time hours. If you catch all of the series during the year, you should be able to watch 25 different series. By the end of the year, aside from the TVB Anniversary Awards, selecting the 'Best Series of the Year', Netizens have also created their own spoof, 'The Series I Dislike the Most in 2011'. The "Top 3" winners for this competition is My Sister of Eternal Flower (Sister Fa) (1st place), When Heaven Burns (WHB) (2nd place) and Men With No Shadows (MNS) (3rd place).

Charmaine Sheh & Raymond Lam's series in the Top 3

The related poll for the 'most disliked series of the year' had over 200 votes. Each person can vote for 3 series. My Sister of Eternal Flower broadcast in May of this year got 87 votes, making the series the most disliked series of the year. In second place is When Heaven Burns with 81 votes and Men with No Shadows follows behind with 78 votes. In 4th place is Only You with 50 votes, while Super Snoops and Curse of the Royal Harem tied in 5 place with 46 votes each.

A Netizen described Sister Fa and MNS as the 'can't lose group'. In fact, Charmaine was miserably harmed by Sister Fa since she was being heavily compared before and after the broadcast. Before Sister Fa aired, Charmaine's role as 'Female Version of Ah Wong' was seen as a challenging role and with the addition of popular idol Raymond Lam as her partner, it became one of the most anticipated series of 2011. However, after the broadcast, audience didn't like the mentally challenged story and were in opposition. Charmaine's role was greatly disliked and her acting was criticized. The series only averaged 25 points.

In MNS, Raymond's devil role and use of hypnotism was first described by Netizens as 'Schizophrenic King of Chok'. When the series broadcast, the ratings weren't too bad averaging at 27 points and the two hour finale averaged at 32 points.

WHB has been named as the 'Drives Away See Lai Drama'. The series has also been criticized for being too draggy, a 30 minute piece dragged out to 1 hour. Although the series is in second placed for being the most disliked series of the year, there are still supportive Netizens: "Dislike does not mean the series is trash, it's just some people don't understand the story."

A keen Netizen found the 'Charmaine Code', Charmaine's series WHB is considered a low rated series because her 2005 series with Ekin Cheng and Bowie Lam Always Ready averaged at only 23 points. The coincidence is that aside from Bowie Lam being in both series with her, WHB and AR were both broadcast on November 21st, which couldn't escape from the low rating fate.

June of this year, Shirley Yeung exposed she broke up with boyfriend Gregory Lee of 9 years in April. She claimed she and Gregory already had consensus of the break up. On the other side, Gregory expressed in tears he didn't know that he was being ditched. It was only when Shirley was exposed to have been a two-timer, getting together with former diver Andy Ng and got pregnant, that she had to end her relationship with Gregory. At the time, Shirley strongly denied her pregnancy, and claimed she only said that because she wanted Gregory to let go.

Since Shirley completed her jobs in September, she began her isolation. However, it turns out she's is "Mother Liar" since she is actually 7 months pregnant already and will be due in Los Angeles.

Shirley's hid her pregnancy from her manager too. She just took December and January off from TVB. TVB still helped her accept an advertisement job for March. Yesterday reporters contacted TVB executive Virgina Lok to clarify. She couldn't help but expressed the magazine photos of Shirley with a big belly frightened her. She already sent a SMS to ask Shirley, but she hasn't replied. Shirley did not say anything about her pregnancy prior to her leave, so she will have to ask Shirley what's happening and show some concern of her situation. Virgina expressed she will not blame Shirley and does not feel she did anything wrong because she is already over 30 and wants to have her own children. Shirley had always been working hard to earn money, so she will have the capability to raise a child. Some female artists will have children, but may not necessarily get marry. Virgina believes Shirley made careful thought before making the decision and that she's not a foolish girl, she can be responsible.

Shirley's ex-lover Gregory Lee was working at TVB City yesterday. He expressed he already saw the reports on Shirley. He said at first when he saw the photos, he felt shocked, but it is all a fact now, he can only hope for the best in her future. Gregory expressed since the breakup, he did not keep in touch with her and he has put down the whole incident already. Does he think that he got his justice back and proved Shirley was lying? Gregory said he will not respond anymore because it has already happened, he can only accept the fact. Currently he is not in a rush to find a new girlfriend.

TV King and Queen Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu were the guests for the ribbon cutting ceremony of GOLDAL TIMEPIECES watch brand. Myolie wore 5-inch heels and a low-cut dress to kill off the pregnancy rumors, she said: "I think people won't believe the rumor now." Kevin also denied his net worth rapidly increasing and making 20 million in just half a year. Kevin and Myolie are inexpensive artists to use. However, when speaking of When Heaven Burns banned in Mainland, both were speechless and only said this question is hard to answer.

It was reported Myolie is seeing a Chinese doctor for her pregnancy? Myolie denied the pregnancy rumors and expressed she only went to see the Chinese doctor because of a cough that has been troubling her for several months. Did Bosco go with you to the doctor? "In fact, that day I was getting a lift from him. I've been suffering from a cough for several months, and a friend recommended me to go see a Chinese doctor. I knew the media would photograph me and the pregnancy questions would come up. I promise everyone, if there is any big events happening in my life, I will tell everyone about it!"

Kevin, standing besides Myolie, interrupted: "Actually I'm quite gossipy myself, I sent her a SMS asking her if its true and if so congrats!" Myolie laughed and refuted him: "Because he (Kevin) wants children himself!" Recently it has been constantly rumored that Kevin got back together with either Charmaine Sheh or Niki Chow, but Kevin said there is still "no one" that wants to have children with him: "Ai, me and my big mouth. (Then did you get back together with them?) The reports changes so quickly that even I can't keep track of it. All I can say is I am friends with both Charmaine and Niki."

When speaking of Kevin's net worth having a triple jump after he became a '3 award' TV King and even defeating 'King of Gold Digging' Moses Chan. It was rumored his Mainland per episode salary went from HK$250,000 to HK$300,000 and makes some 20 million in just half a year. Regarding this, Kevin said: "Can't trust the rumors and don't have to get so serious. If I earn 20 million in half a year, I would have 40 million in a year, then that means I won't have to work anymore after a few years. I also hope to be the 'King of Gold Digging', who doesn't want to make 40 million a year?" Myolie was also said to have gotten a salary jump from 80,000 RMB to 120,000 RMB per episode. She said this is a business secret and just kept saying she's very 'inexpensive'.

Michael Tse and Niki Chow accepted a CRHK radio interview yesterday. It was rumored Niki is being pursued again by ex-boyfriend Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh intends to ruin them by publicly glaring at Niki. During the interview, Michael teased Niki by taking the rumor to joke with. He asked Niki, as if he was a reporter, if she's dating her ex-boyfriend and then after 'lighting the fire', he quickly got up and left. This left Niki in an embarrassing position. She said Michael is speaking nonsense: "Help me! Can I not answer? Because which ever way I answer, I'll die. I won't answer anything regarding to rumors. (This means there is a chance to develop?) I just want to focus on my work, don't ask about relationships. In fact, the rumor has been disturbing me for several years, why can't it just stop. Aside from relationships, there are many other things Ican do. Work is my priority and I currently have no love life. I am concentrating entirely on my jobs."

When speaking of Producer Lee Tim Shing angered at the TVB Broadcasting department for pushing back Bottled Passion's initial October broadcast to the holidays period and thus resulting in poor ratings. Niki said: "There has been some affect. After all, there are many holidays and students have exams, but it is already pretty good to have this performance." Niki frankly said she feels thankful that Tim Gor gave her the 'Tsui Sum' role.

As for TVB series When Heaven Burns is banned from broadcasting in Mainland, Michael said: "To Hong Kong and Mainland, this isn't something new. Some songs and films have also encountered the same situation, but there hasn't been any distinct regulations, so will have to leave it to the production unit to explore an answer. This time, perhaps the genre is more sensitive and I also feel it's a pity. This is a reminder to the production team that these types of series and situations must be handled carefully in the future." Does Michael feel When Heaven Burns is of a sensitive subject matter? "If any TV series or film involves politics, it is considered sensitive in both HK and Mainland. (Will you avoid shooting these genres?) Leave it to the production team to decide. I am just an actor and should focus on giving a good performance and follow the script."

Michael will be heading back to Mainland during the Lunar New Year to shoot a series. Asked if he will decline to social gatherings in Mainland? Michael said: "No, it is actually strange and autistic to not go out. (Have you been influenced by Benny Chan's incident?) In fact, there are drunken cases all over the world, in which one does some silly thing that they don't usually do. It is not necessarily just Hong Kong artists. It is most important to have self-control."

With all the changes that TVB has been going through recently, the internal politics have been a mess and now, even elders who’ve always been ‘ratings guarantees’ are falling victim to the internal unrest.

Golden producer Lee Tim Sing (Tim Gor), who contributed greatly to TVB’s success for several decades, invited singer/actress Niki Chow to return to TVB last year to film the series “Bottled Passion” with actor Raymond Wong. Around the time of last year’s Sales Presentation, the plan was to arrange for the series to air during October’s ‘golden’ timeslot. Unfortunately, due to internal politics, “Bottled Passion” was moved to the December ‘cannon fodder’ timeslot and replaced instead with Liza Wang and the three gods’ anniversary series “Super Snoops”.

Currently in its finale week, the storyline for “Bottled Passion” revolves around a love story, which seems to be the perfect fit for TVB’s housewife audience’s tastes compared with the cannibalism-themed series “When Heaven Burns”, which is also in its finale week. However, TVB has arranged for the finale of “When Heaven Burns” to air on Sunday (January 1st), pushing “Bottled Passion”s finale to Monday, Jan 2nd (the first time that a TVB series has aired its finale on a Monday). This further added fuel to an already burning fire. It is rumored that because Tim Gor is planning to retire next year, someone is seizing upon the opportunity to give him the ‘cold shoulder’. Despite his previous accomplishments, including last year’s highly rated anniversary series “No Regrets”, Tim Gor was not given any face, causing his newest series to become ‘high quality cannon fodder’!

Our reporter contacted Tim Gor for clarification. When the issue of his series being placed in a cannon fodder timeslot was brought up, a usually mellow Tim Gor became upset, angrily blasting TVB: “Of course there will be someone sacrificed in the PK timeslot! [TN: 'PK' in this context represents a Cantonese curse word]. Several years ago, my series “A Fistful of Stances” was the same way – whether there is a particular motive to it, I really don’t know! It’s not worth getting upset over anymore – besides, I’m not the first one treated this way – cannon fodder or not, doesn’t matter anymore!” Tim Gor expressed that TVB’s action of moving “Bottled Passion” to such a timeslot was hugely discouraging to the cast and crew and he has been trying his best to bring the morale back up. He stated: “I can’t lie – the ratings truly aren’t that great. The worst part is that the series has good word of mouth….the screenwriting team is definitely upset. Aiye! During the holidays, there are at least 600,000 to 700,000 people who leave town for travel, so of course they won’t be sitting in front of their TVs watching the series. If the series was placed in the October timeslot as originally planned, the ratings would be at least 2 points higher, if not more! But I’m used to it already!”

When the series was originally taken out of the October timeslot, Tim Gor had angrily gone up to the drama department to inquire as to the reason: “I admit that the series [Bottled Passion] is not a ‘star-studded’ production, as the main leads are Niki and Raymond. But Niki has truly shown great improvement in her acting, Raymond is a perfect fit for the role, and Joel [Chan] did a good job as anticipated. I put a lot of heart into coming up with this story and the plot was carefully arranged. When I first heard about the series airing in the October timeslot, I thought to myself that it would surely succeed. Unexpectedly though, the drama department pulled the series out of that timeslot last minute – when I asked why, they said it was because of a ‘particular reason’ and even apologized to me!”

Asked about plans to retire, Tim Gor replied that the final decision will be made at the end of next year: “At the end of next year, I will be 65 years old. The company’s retirement age is 60 years, so I have already exceeded by 5 years – it is enough! I still have the heart for it, but not the strength. My colleagues sometimes see me limping when I’m walking, so I already know that health-wise, it’s taking a toll on me!”

Chinese model Zhang Xinyu used Hong Kong actor and boyfriend Ron Ng's microblog to post a photo of her in bed, when he was attending a friend's wedding. Her action enraged Ron's fans, who left nasty comments on Xinyu's microblog.

Although Ron had stepped in to urge his fans to stop the verbal attack, it did nothing to appease his fans.

Netizens claimed that Xinyu was incomparable to Ron's onscreen lover Kate Tsui. They also dragged Xinyu's good friend, who had once spoke up for the model, into their verbal attack, and cursed her newborn child.

The model, who could not put up with the netizens anymore, retaliated on her microblog yesterday.

"Please don't involve my family and friends. You're going a little too far by cursing a newborn baby. Let my friend have a happy Christmas, all right?" she wrote.

However, the entry was taken down less than half an hour later.

Xinyu later commented through her manager, "The entry was deleted because I didn't want to give people the impression that I was quarreling [with the fans]. I just hope that no other innocent people will be dragged into [the war of words]."

Previously, it was also reported that Xinyu had chided Kate on the phone. However, the model denied the rumour, saying, "Reports of have a love rival is also false. These rumours can stop now."

Despite the endless rumours, Xinyu's career did not seem to be affected. The model is currently in the midst of filming Legend of Yue Fei and had made an appearance at a new car launch in Suzhou, China yesterday morning. She was said to have made a whopping six-figure paycheck, for a mere 20-minute appearance.

Yesterday Sharon Chan attended a Christmas Magic event. When asked what kind of gifts she and her boyfriend got for each other? Sharon laughed: "I gave him something practical, electronics. (What did you give him?) A new phone. We are both the practical types, and not romantic at all." She reveals she celebrated Christmas with Myolie Wu and a group of good friends. It was recently rumored that Myolie's Chinese doctor found she was pregnant with Bosco Wong's baby and is currently on medication for her pregnancy. Sharon laughed out loud when she heard this rumor: "Impossible! We were just together the other night at a party. She didn't drink, but neither did I. But if she was pregnant, there is no reason our group of good sisters won't know!" She also blurted out by accident: "When Myolie has a baby in the future, I must be her nanny (lai ma), aiya! Regarding the rumor, Michael laughed: "How come I have been in the industry for 20 years, and it's only now that they are saying I got plastic surgery? Thanks all for the concern, I hope this is a compliment that I look better! I think it's because recently I got thinner!" Michael believes plastic surgery is common in today's society, but he claims his facial features are complete, so there is no need for plastic surgery. He unexpectedly encountered a road block along the way and had to squeezes in the crowded buses instead. The other riders on the bus recognized him and all asked for his autograph and pictures: "I initially wanted to take the taxi, but couldn't find one. So I just got on the bus, haven't rode on one for a long time. I didn't expect there would be so many people, I'm so out. I was in a difficult situation, but I also thought the atmosphere was great for the holidays." As Moses was rushing to 'escape', he was still unable to buy the gift. Asked what he is thinking of getting for Aimee? Moses sweetly expressed: "I want something meaningful, but I haven't bought it yet. (Diamond ring?) Choi! (Will you buy a diamond ring?) Earlier during the TVB Anniversary, TV King Kevin Cheng and Michael Tse were rumored on bad terms because of the fight for the TV King title. Recently, the two were in Hengdian to shoot new Mainland drama Hero. Yesterday the two attended the press conference and pretended to be on bad terms by glaring at one another, but then they started laughing not long after. Michael said: "Just looking at Kevin, I feel I really love him. I am also prepared the media will magnify the focus on us, but I am not worried at all!"

Kevin proved the rumors wrong by action and gave Michael a 'kiss'. He said: "Friends can be opponents too. There can only be improvement with competition." As for Charmaine Sheh is also shooting in Hengdian right now and earlier they had reconciliation rumors? Kevin said: " We are just good friends. If there is a chance, we can have a meal together. It's not like we did something that can't in the light." He believes the first thing to do when finding a girlfriend is to become good friends with them. He even boasted that he's a perfect standard boyfriend. [The Sun] reported earlier that Kevin will be pocketing 50 million in the coming year. Just shooting 3 Mainland dramas will earn him HK$3 million. He indirectly admitted: "I can just say I am very pleased, but I am not shooting this series because of the money, but because of the crew and the script."

Kiki Sheung and Eddie Cheung are currently shooting for TVB sitcom Til Love Do Us Lie. It was said because Kiki was an hour late to rehearsal, Eddie was upset and asked producer Kwan Wing Chung to settle the issue down at the studio. Even Suet Nei, who plays Kiki's mother in the sitcom, wanted the producer to change the script and kill off her character, so she doesn't have to work with Kiki anymore.

Yesterday Kiki, Eddie and Angela Tong were doing outdoor shooting in Tsuen Wan. The two agreed to take a group photo upon the media's request. Kiki explained her lateness was purely a misunderstanding. That day, she went to pick up the prize money check she won at the TVB Anniversary during her lunch hour at the TVB canteen and then went to discuss the script with the editor. Later, the assistant director called her and she immediately rushed over to the studio. She said: "When I got to the studio, I didn't know what happened. I was half an hour late. First I was waiting for the coffee, then I waited for the check. In fact, it's just a small misunderstanding. The producer came down to ask who was being late, I told him it was me and I was sorry." Kiki sighed and said each day she shoots 24 scenes and no one praises her, but a small misunderstanding can turn into a big scandal.

Kiki continued: "Before, I drive my husband to work every morning, so I may be a little late, but I told the producer already that I'm not driving him (her husband) anymore, in the future I will not be a minute late. I will arrive at the studio on time. (Will your husband be upset?) My husband told me not to do it. He asked me if this led to some jealousy? Is it because there is some success in the series that people need to talk about some negative news?" She said she won't be continuing her contract with TVB, and will be a freelance artist again. Asked if she's feeling disheartened? She said: "I'm tired! So why not just go traveling with my husband, go out and play a little!" Asked if she will change her straightforward personality? She said: "No, I am an open person. I won't take anything to heart, at least I'm a true person! Whatever it is, I will face with frankness."

Eddie was asked if he has been having an unpleasant collaboration with Kiki? He said: "We have a good collaboration. (Are you upset that she's late?) When did I get upset? We, artists, have always place heavy emphasis on being punctual. I hope everyone will think the same way. There has been times where I've waited for a long time in the studio, didn't know what I was waiting for. Since we started in September, I have already raised my objections! However, this is something that I shouldn't be managing, the producer has that authority. I am just here to shoot a good series!" Asked if he'll consider bringing this issue up to the higher levels? He said frankly: "Yes, I just want to help the director get their time back, so they can finish up the shoot!"

TV King '3 award' winner Kevin Cheng's news has been boiling. Aside from his pay raise reaching up to 250,000 RMB per episode, there are also rumors that he's been back together with Charmaine Sheh 2 months ago. [Sudden Weekly] received reliable news that on December 6th during Toby Leung's wedding banquet, Kevin, Charmaine and Niki Chow were all present. Charmaine saw Kevin publicly hanging out with ex-lover Niki and didn't even give her one look (feeling neglected), she was furious and jealous on the spot.
The next day (Dec 7th), Charmaine was back at TVB for the When Heaven Burns promotion and bumped into Niki, who was shooting for Policewoman's Love Battlefield, in the makeup room. Seeing her love opponent, Charmaine held in her anger and glared at Niki angrily. It was a very tense situation. As for innocently being dragged into Charmaine and Kevin's romance, Niki helplessly responded: "There are many things I cannot control!"

In 2008, it was said Charmaine got in between Kevin and Niki's 5 year relationship, but the 'Charmaine-Kevin Love' only lasted for a year and half before it was game over. Recently it was rumored that the two reconciled 2 months ago. Aside from traveling to Singapore for The 16th Asian TV Awards 2011 and being crowned TV King and Queen together, it was said Charmaine didn't mind being condescending as she goes in secret to Kevin's 20,000 HKD monthly rented Harbourview Horizon unit.

Breaks the Ice at Wedding Banquet
Although Charmaine and Kevin succeeded in their reconciliation, the relationship cannot be exposed. On December 6th at Toby Leung's wedding banquet held at the Tsim Sha Tsui Intercontinental Hotel, Kevin and Niki attended as well. Back then, it was exposed Kevin secretly interacted with Charmaine, waking up Niki from her dreams and led to their breakup. Since then, it has been several years since she's been in contact with Kevin. Once they met again, it was the day of their icebreaker.

That night, Niki and Anita Yuen were arranged to sit at the same table. Years ago, it was said Charmaine secretly tried to steal Chilam Cheung, so Anita and Niki are on the same boat. That night every time Charmaine had to be near their table, she would have to go a different way. According to an insider: "Toby already knew what to do, by arranging them to sit at different tables and avoid the awkwardness. Kevin and Charmaine avoided each other, and did not interact at all. However, in the middle of the banquet, Kevin suddenly asked Louis Koo's manager (Ronnie) to be his messenger and ask Niki if she minds him going over to her table to chat. Not long after, several eyes saw Kevin walk over to Niki's table for their 'talk of the century'. We all thought it was unusual. Charmaine is smart, of course she saw it! At the time, she pretended like nothing happened and just provoking Ron Ng to play with her. Later during the after party, Charmaine kept saying every time she sees that 'woman', she gets so angry. In fact, Charmaine was very upset at Kevin for making her lose so much face, but she couldn't show any of her anger at the time."

The following day (Dec 7th), Charmaine had to do interviews with the newspapers after the When Heaven Burns promotion. There are so many makeup rooms in TVB, but Charmaine just had to encounter Niki at the Studio 15 makeup room. Insider said: "That day, Niki was putting on makeup and preparing to enter the studio for Policewoman's Love Battlefield shooting. At the time, there were many open seats in the makeup room, but Charmaine deliberately went to sit next to Niki. Everyone in the room went silent. Charmaine put up her authority and did not spare anyone around, she just kept glaring at Niki angrily. Angelina Lo, was present at the makeup room too, and even she sensed the tension. She went to sit in between the two of them and chatted with Charmaine to ease her tension. However, that was not too helpful, Charmaine was still glaring at Niki. Luckily they didn't get into an argument."

Kiki Sheung is known to have a hot temper. Over the many years she's been shooting TVB series, she has gotten into arguments with several artists. Following being on bad terms with Rosy Business cast members Sheren Tang, Kara Hui, Susan Tse and Ngok Wah, when she was shooting Sisters of Pearl, she didn't get along with Jessica Hsuan or Bowie Lam either.

Recently, Kiki has been collaborating with Eddie Cheung in new sitcom Til Love Do Us Lie, who has not been in a TVB production for over 10 years. The two plays a married couple in the sitcom, but it was rumored Kiki often acts like a 'Black Swan' on the set. On cameras, the 'couple' may look very loving, but behind the cameras, they do not get along. Aside from Kiki's hot temper that leads to nobody wanting to eat with her on the same table, she is often late to work too. The other day, Eddie, Kenny Wong, Charmaine Li and a large group of artists were rehearsing the scenes for a whole hour and Kiki was still no where to be seen. This angered the short temper Eddie, who couldn't tolerate Kiki's lateness and went up front to tell producer Kwan Wing Chung about it. Producer Kwan visited them in the studio to get a better understanding of the situation and asked them who is the culprit of tardiness. Just rushing into the studio, Kiki voluntarily called out: "It's me!" The other angered staff, but does not dare to speak up, all cheered and applauded in support of Eddie.

As for Suet Nei, who plays Kiki's mother in the sitcom, has been in showbiz for many many years, also felt disrespected. It was said because she couldn't tolerate the difficult 'Black Swan', she asked the producer to kill off her character: "Producer, why not just kill off my character and leave it at that!" Looks like, the two are already completely incompatible.

Eddie and Kiki are on bad terms, but yesterday they attended Til Love Do Us Lie promotional event as usual with the other cast including Angela Tong, Joyce Tang and Hanjin Tan. During the time, the two obviously had issues. As the lead actor, Eddie rather step aside during the large group photo. The other cast had to pull him back into position next to Kiki, but he completely lacked a smile. He continued to maintain his distance with Kiki and didn't interact with her. Even during the games, the two still had zero interaction despite being on the same team. It was only until Kiki helped Eddie wipe off the flour off his nose that the atmosphere began to change.

Reporters asked Eddie for the details of the situation, he said over the phone describing Kiki's personality is very 'straight'. He stressed several times the importance of being punctual: "I am fine, just hope things goes smoothly from now on. Artists being late should be handled by the executives. If I care too much, that will be beyond my authority! I did talk to the producer about it, hope everyone can be punctual." Kiki also responded over the phone and denied she was late: "Today is winter solstice, let's not start these rumors. We get along very harmoniously, even if there is something, it's a misunderstanding."

As for Suet Nei, who was rumored to have asked the producer to kill her character off, heard of Kiki's new nickname as the 'Black Swan': "I heard from the people who collaborated with her that she's only okay. Speaking under my conscience, she and I collaborating in Til Love Do Us Lie is going pretty okay. When speaking of being late to the rehearsals, I was not present. I just heard what happened after the fact, but no one has clearly told me what was really happening! (It was rumored you wanted to 'die'?) No, I didn't say anything!" However, Suet Nei does admit Kiki really has a character: "In the sitcom, I'm her mom, there won't be too much of a conflict. When she's not in a good mood, she'll just talk less. As an artist, each one of us has our own characters."

Jessica Hsuan and Anita Yuen are both up north earning the Chinese yuan. A few days ago, the two appeared on separate TV series promotional events in Mainland where they talked bad about TVB. They expressed the filming process in Mainland and TVB completely differs. When shooting TVB series, you can lose your life at any time.

Jessica is currently in Shanghai shooting for new series Xiangzi's Story - New City People (祥子的故事之新都市人) with Lawrence Ng. When shooting in Mainland, Jessica is most satisfied with how comfortable the work is. In TVB, the filming hours are way too long, each day she had to shoot 20 hours and could only go home for a shower, then has to get right back to work. When she was shooting Curse of the Royal Harem, she had to shoot 18 hours a day! Jessica heard that the current TVB artists don't even have the time to go home. She expressed at her age, she can no longer work on that kind of schedule and can lose her life at any time. Currently working in Mainland, it is much more comforting as it is written clearly on the contract that filming cannot exceed 13 hours a day. If the crew is unable to complete the shoot by the scheduled time, she is willing to accept overtime work. Jessica also mentioned about her love life. Earlier she broke up with her 2 year Western boyfriend (Ruan), but she hasn't felt discouraged yet. She expressed without hiding that she accepts a 'sister-brother love' relationship (a boyfriend younger than her).

As for Anita, she attended the press conference of First Love's Letter (初戀情人的來信). She admitted the salary in Mainland is high, but the capacity of the work is the most attractive. This is something that is difficult for TVB to compare, basically not they are not at that level. She also appreciates the rich subject matters of Mainland productions, it is refreshing. The staff understands her situation, that she cannot be separated from her son for too long, so they complete her scenes in a short period of time.

The Hong Kong singer was said to have bought a million-dollar bungalow, so that her child will have more space to move about.

Hong Kong singer Miriam Yeung is rumoured to be two months pregnant, but she has yet to confirm the rumours.

Recently, the singer, who is taking a break from work, was spotted house-hunting.

According to a media report, Miriam's child is due next year. However, in order to give her child more space to move about, the mother-to-be was seen searching for a new place, even before her tummy began to show.

Lately, Miriam bought a 3000sq-ft (280sq-m) bungalow at Tai Po Hong Lok Yuen, Hong Kong, worth HK$28 million (S$4.7 million).

To ensure that there will be people caring for her child, Miriam intends to move into the new house with her husband Real Ting and her parents, so that she can focus on her showbiz career.

Yesterday, the singer was spotted drinking tea with Real in public for the first time, since rumours of her being pregnant circulated.

When the media approached the couple for a photo, Real hid away from the camera immediately, while Miriam trailed behind her husband carefully. She appeared to be in shock initially, but later returned a warm and polite smile, asking, "Why are you photographing me?"

Looking slightly bloated, Miriam covered her stomach with a long scarf and a paper bag. Real held onto his wife's waist, protecting her the entire time. However, the couple declined to comment on the pregnancy rumour.

It is believed that Miriam will make an announcement regarding her pregnancy in a few days.

The When Heaven Burns (WHB) rating sinks into a depression. Last night the cast including Moses Chan, Bowie Lam and Kenny Wong took part in a X'Mas Rock promotional event. The three announced they have established a band called 'Sober Band' and hope a record company will invite them to record a CD. Bowie is currently developing in Mainland, so he hoped their singing will be popular from Beijing all the way back to Hong Kong.

As for the low ratings, Moses has not felt disappointed yet. He believes the audience just haven't accepted a new type of series yet, but a taxi driver praised the series is very good. Bowie has already signed with a new management, but he still strongly supported that the story is very touching and that the finale should move audience to tears. Bowie also indirectly criticized TVB: "Actually gotta thank TVB for giving WHB so many promotions. It has already been in storage for two years and they could have kept it in storage, so what? TVB still decided to broadcast it, gotta thank them!"

Producer Jonathan Chik said WHB is his most creative production, it is his own sweat and blood. He haven't felt unhappy for the poor ratings, and its hard to see the majority of the cast out at the promotion last night. It was reported that WHB dragged down the prime time ratings, even the sitcom broadcasting in the 8pm time slot has been affected? Jonathan disdain the report, and asked reporters if they flipped the times in their calculations? He joked he doesn't understand how to do this type of calculation.
