Raymond Lam and Karena Ng announced their relationship in February, and since then their love had been high-profile. Unfortunately, this stirred up a group of upset Netizens. Lately, Netizens had been making spoofs of her pictures and threatening Karena BB. One Netizen "get fingers cut by a vegetable knife", "die from depression" and "burn ritual money to her" on the discussion topic "Karena Boils Out into Showbiz". The comments are very extreme. Karena's fans angrily fought back. Some Netizens suspected Raymond's ex-girlfriend Mavis Pan had something to do with it or a hardcore Raymond fan did it.

As the situation is getting serious, Raymond flys back to Hong Kong immediately after completing The Virtuous Queen of Han in Hengdian to "rescue his girlfriend"! Aside from accompanying her everywhere, he took Karena to good friend Niki Chow's 34th birthday party. Karena BB was like "in the house" as she met Raymond's good friends including Niki's sister Kathy Chow, Chilam Cheung and his wife Anita Yuen, Christine Ng and her husband Kasey, Michael Tse, etc.

The birthday girl Niki wrote on Weibo: "Six Virgos celebrating their birthdays together. So meaningful! A very pleasant evening, had good food, good chats, pretty and warm! Its great having you all! thanks all!"

During the Lunar New Year, Bobby Au Yeung suffered from acute pneumonia and was admitted to the ICU for rescue. After this life threatening experience, Bobby's becomes even more open-minded. He puts away his bad temper and cherishes the people around him. His relationship with his wife got even better. After getting through the the illness, Bobby felt like he came back to life. Doesn't that mean got something good out of a setback?

BOBBY: People can just be that frail. On the second night of Lunar New Year, I was having a good time and wanted to take a short nap, perhaps I ate too much during the new year and the food went into my lungs while I was sleeping that led to the pneumonia. When I gain conscious again, the doctor joked: "You were lucky Bobby, from all the ones who came into the ICU today, you were the only one we were able to rescue." I was fortunate to come back to this world, I was able to see again, but because of all the tubes connected to me, I couldn't talk or move. I communicated to the doctor with pen and paper; the first question I asked was whether I had a stroke? The doctor reassured me, he said it was acute pneumonia. Actually, at the time I didn't even know what that was, haha. After all, as long as I could move. What I feared most was getting a stroke.

I went through a difficult time in the ICU. When I was in a coma, I was aware and had feelings. It felt like the medical staff were moving me to the bed, and the doctor checked my eyes. I wanted to move, but couldn't. Luckily the rescue was quick. The doctor said if the rescuing had delayed, the brain could lose too much oxygen and become slugglish. While I was in the ICU, the machines were very loud. I asked the doctor if I could get a new room, but he said: "This is the ICU Bobby, where else do you want to go?" Its truly an once in a lifetime. At the time, I felt exhausted. I closed my eyes and went straight to sleep, but then I feared I wouldn't wake up. I had machines attached to me all over. Haha, the doctor mentioned the moment I woke up, I opened my eyes wide and stared. I'm all better now, the doctor said I probably did many good deeds and told me to keep it up.

After this incident, my wife and I have an even better relationship. I know my wife was very worried about me. When I was discharged, we just couldn't hold in our emotions. I never have to discuss with my wife, she has very high EQ and very sharp. She can explain something in a few words. Gave her everything -- home, car, diamonds... actually we are not about that kind of stuff. I gave my whole self to her, she handles everything. She had always been responsible for the household matters, I'm just responsible in signing the papers. I trust her the most. My views on life hasn't really changed much, still the same, cherish everyone around you. Not just my wife and family, but all friends and each person you encounter. In an unpleasant way, you have the present life but not the next life. Don't throw random tantrums. My temperament is not as good as what everyone thinks.

Esther is one of Bobby's Best Partners

When speaking of my good partner Esther Kwan, she always had that crave for acting. Before she had to look after her daugther, but now she's grown up a bit and even before we asked her to participate in Always and Ever, I asked Nick Cheung first. He supported her, and said Esther loves to work. If Nick said no, then we'll be in trouble. Its hard for us to find a ood partner. Can't be too old or young. Its difficult to communicate when someone holds their phone more than the script. Esther doesn't hold a phone, she holds onto the script.

My last series with Esther was Legendary of Four Aces, but there isn't much of a difference collaborating with her again this time. I maintained my standard NGing spree, haha. Of course, there is NG when there is expectations. Esther is one of my best partners. If you don't know her, you might think she's very strict. Ram Chiang said only I could handle her. All I do is just make her feel happy and chat with her. When she's waiting for the cameras to roll, she doesn't move at all, so nobody dares to provoke her. Esther said she's happier working with me than with Nick.

As for the TV ratings, as long as it reaches 30 points. The ratings for our time slot is normally lower than Triumph in the Skies II's time slot. When I go out for dinner, people tell me they're watching the series and the gags are really funny, its very "Bobby", but I'm afraid some gags might upset people because how would Justice Sung say such things, how could he speak so much English and all the silly expressions, I was afraid people will say I'm exaggerating. I had a chat with the editor about this and he said just go right ahead and do it. You know the audience nowadays are so picky. We must use the dialogue to package, just like the origin of "wai mo" and the line "You're Ram Chiang with a mustache", those lines I thought of on the spot. Comedies are done that way, must crash something out with your colleagues.

Grateful of Blessings, Pays Debt of Gratitude to TVB

I'm starting a new series in November. I personally like to work, never have I thought of retiring and enjoy the world. Retiring so early, I fear I won't have enough money to spend. Haha. Working is like leisure to me. Comparing work in China and Hong Kong, I would say I enjoy working in China more. I get 10 hours of rest, get enough sleep. In Hong Kong, even if I had 10 hours to rest, minus my commute home, I only get 8 hours. Let alone no time for rest. In China, they really give you sufficient time to rest.

TVB attracts me, purely to pay a debt of gratitude. One must be grateful of all their blessings. Honestly, if there wasn't TVB, there wouldn't be me. As for the terms, just as long as it follows the market values, then I'm fine. You won't pay me enough no matter what, as long as you have the heart. That's just the rules of the game in Hong Kong. After so many years, there is the recognition, the collaboration isn't about not being able to operate without someone. I'm happy to see the producers and my colleagues when I go back to TVB. In this industry, the income you get from TVB is the bottom line, it is the lowest index, but it depends on how you look at it. Once there is agreement on the terms, then that's how it is, can't complain. I just think of it like this, TVB helps me advertise and didn't charge me a fee, that's already really good. I should be the one paying them, hahaha! Of course there are other companies that want me to join them, Ricky Wong approached me before too, but at the time I still had a contract and that didn't work out.

Ron joked: "I thought it could go further." As Netizens cannot accept "heavy flavor" scenes, Kenneth said: "Some people cannot accept sister-brother love, there are more scenes later, but this one is the most intense. The later scenes will just serve to explain the feelings."

Hung Gu expressed she is watching TITS2 too, asked which artist does she admire the most? She said: "Everyone is good. I usually don't watch TV series, but this one has been very popular lately, rare that a TVB production is that trendy. (Will you make a comeback in a TV series?) Yesterday Raymond Lam and Niki Chow were in Hengdian shooting the final scene for NowTV's new series The Virtuous Queen of Han, completing their 3 months of filming work. NowTV's executive Ho Lai Cheun was there to support them and didn't hesitate to lift up the fan and help Niki cool down. After the group completed the scene, they were really happy and held a traditional end-of-filming ceremony.

Niki expressed her greatest experience from filming in Hengdian was she suffered a heatstroke twice. "The temperatures here can go up to 50°C (122°F), truly so hot I could pass out. The moment I suffered from the heatstroke, I really wanted strip down and take everything off. The crew hired someone to help me 'gua sha' and gave me an energy drink, then I felt better. This is considered the most difficult moment in my whole career." Niki also celebrated her Lunar birthday with the crew and since they finished filming the series early, she can go back to celebrate her actual birthday with friends in HK.

When speaking of Karena Ng frequently flying over to Hengdian to visit her boyfriend Raymond, Niki laughed: "I was very concentrated on my work. (Did you envy them?) I thought they were so annoying! Everyone asked me how sweet they were, so annoying." NowTV executive Ho Lai Chuen brought a fan to help Niki prevent getting another heatstroke, it appears she is well favored? Niki laughed: "Mr. Ho and I already knew each other back at TVB, we have known each other for many years. He had always treated me like a niece. We have a good relationship and you all shouldn't be thinking too much."

Raymond spent a year in Mainland and completed 3 series, he was very excited to finally go back to HK. When speaking of Niki suffering from the heatstroke twice? Raymond laughed: "I have no fear, I have good health. Fortunately I didn't get the heatstroke. (Is it because you are moisten by love?) The most important is working hard!" It was reported Karena BB asked him to buy a house, Raymond changed the subject to avoid the question: "I will not comment anymore. I've already issued a statement earlier. (Will you consider buying a home for your girlfriend?) I will not respond to nonsense." Raymond returning to HK early, the happiest must be Karena BB? Raymond laughed: "When I leave this place first."

This is producer Miu Siu Ching and her husband Lau Ka Ho's first time going to Hengdian to shoot a series. The couple praised the Mainland crew for making everything perfect, the allocation and flexibility is much better than TVB. Miu Siu Ching indirectly criticized TVB's last minute scripts. She said: "We only start shooting when the script is out and rented two ~40,000 square feet studios for filming. We use actual scenery for the outdoor scenes and there are a lot more variation in the costumes." They disclosed the series must go through approval in Mainland first and the forecast of its release is sometime next year.

Last night at the celebration, there were 3 large cakes to celebrate both Niki's birthday and Miu Siu Ching and Lau Kau Ho's wedding anniversary. When the group were cutting the cakes, Raymond joked it looks like they were cutting a roast pork at blessing ceremonies. The birthday girl Niki took the opportunity to rush Raymond into marriage. "Hurry up and get married!" Raymond embarrassingly pulled back and laughed his hands started shaking after hearing that comment.

Kate Tsui and Sharon Chan have been long time "old enemies" since The Beauty of the Game when they were rumored on bad terms. Yesterday the two attended the costume fitting of TVB new series Midas with the other cast including Bosco Wong, Nancy Wu, Ben Wong, Toby Leung and Fred Cheng. At last, this time Kate had good friends Bosco and Nancy by her side and won't be forced to "produce scenes" opposite of Sharon as in their previous series My Prime Lady, thus at the costume fitting, Kate and Sharon had zero interaction. Even when Sharon was introducing her character, Kate acted like she wasn't there as she continued to chat with Bosco and Nancy on the side. During the big group picture, Toby Leung was initially in between the ladies, but then she moved away. The two were forced to pretend and be friends, but quickly separated right after the picture!

Reporters later contacted Sharon to comment on the "zero interaction", she denied and said she had no comment. Kate tried to shift the attention to Bosco's rumors, she said: "I think Bosco has so many rumors, its nonstop! Its like a cramped subdivided flat. (But you've been at the door!) I was just a passerbyer. This time, I hope to create new sparks with him, but I'm determined to end the rumors! Actually, he is younger than me, I don't like young kids!" Bosco laughed off the "subdivided flat" analogy and said Kate is like luxury best selling home.

Meanwhile, the other rumored pair Bosco and Nancy played along and didn't seem to have been affected by their bad terms rumor. When Nancy introduced her role as Bosco's wife, she took initiative to link her arm with Bosco's and said he was her husband. Nancy expressed in her interview: "Bosco is very relaxed collaborating with me because he doesn't have to worry about spreading rumors. (Your boyfriend careless about Bosco?) I'm not necessarily within Bosco's options either! Perhaps I'll tell him to behave and just concentrate on work! (You guys didn't have rumors before?) He had one with Eliza Sam. We just had on bad terms rumor! But, that is still better than relationship related rumors."

When speaking of Kate portraying a lesbian in this series and that she'll have an ambiguous relationship with Nancy, she immediately sweet talked and praised Kate. She joked: "We may have a kiss scene, Kate is known to have tender lips. I can try out her little cushion, but it's not confirmed yet. After all, this topic is still on the sensitive side. Perhaps our line will just be implied."

TVB and TVBC (Shanghai Media Group) had a joint "TVB Clan Television Series Press Conference" at the 2013 China International Film & TV Programs Exhibition held in Beijing. TVB's Assistant General Manager Peter Au and other executives led 20+ artistes including many Siu Sang and FaDans -- Charmaine Sheh, Myolie Wu, Tavia Yeung, Wayne Lai, Moses Chan, Bosco Wong, Ron Ng, Kenneth Ma, Ruco Chan and other artists like Eddie Cheung, Him Law, Kathy Chow and Eliza Sam to promote 17 of TVB's new and upcoming series such as The Hippocratic Crush II, Triumph in the Skies II, Will Power, Mr. & Mrs. Bean, No Reserve, M Club and My Prime Lady.

It was widely rumored that Charmaine signed a 50 million RMB TVBC contract, making her part of the family again. Charmaine expressed: "The media exaggerated the dollar amount. I've been on break for 6 months, and now that I'm signing another contract, I don't want it to be a long one. TVB agreed to sign a 2 year contract with me, TVBC invests in Mainland productions as well, so I believe its better for my future development to be in both Mainland and HK. I will be shooting a TVB series in January."

During the big group picture, it was clear Charmaine still possessed the "TVB First Sister" title as she stood in the middle with Wayne Lai, even TV Queens Myolie and Tavia had to step aside. Last year hot favorite TV Queen candidate Kate Tsui stood in the second row, but she was fortunate to have her sexy low-cut dress to help her win the limelight back.

Former couple Myolie and Bosco had zero interaction, even if Myolie walked passed Bosco, he did not react at all. Asked if Bosco will date someone in the industry again? He said just leave it to fate. Reporters said he appeared awkward seeing Myolie again? He denied: "I occasionally show my concern to her and read some of her news online. I still keep in touch with her in private as well." Kate was asked since she frequently collaborates with Bosco, does she hope to be the new on-screen couple with him? Kate said: "Just a coincidence! But, we have collaborated in 5 series already. Bosco and I are impossible, he's like a sister to me."

On screen, Esther Kwan is a perfect candidate for roles like "Miu Chui Fa" (Lady Flower Fist), "Chu Sau Ngor" (Armed Reaction) or "Hon Seung Seung" (Always & Ever), but behind the cameras she is the model of a good wife and an attentive mother. She takes good care of her daughter, so her husband Nick Cheung can go out and work without worries. Esther did not agree with the view that there was a "woman superior, man inferior" gap between her husband's career and her career back in the day. She also felt guilty she neglected her husband while he was in depression. Such a great wife, loves family and husband, their fate as a married couple, how can it be just three lifetimes?!

Twelve years later, Esther collaborates with Bobby Au Yeung once again in TVB new series Always and Ever, making her active in the industry again. Recall Esther came back in 2007 for the sitcom Best Selling Secrets, but she suddenly withdrew because she needed more time to look after her daughter Brittney. Esther smiled: "At the time, my daughter was only 1 or 2 years old and I didn't have any time off from filming. I had to work on weekends too; I worked from morning to night; a person filming all year long, exhausted for months, anybody would dry out. The only way was to not film it." Although in a blink of an eye Esther's daughter is already 7 years old, she still willing to live a semi-retired life. "If I don't be by her side now, I will miss it! I have to be with her to cultivate the relationship, chat with her more and teach her the things at the appropriate times, that's how it will stick in her head. Whatever she does right or wrong, I have to compliment or scold her and grab her to tell her off, but I cannot do that if I am not by her side."

Willing to "Privatize" to Family

Esther puts her daughter and family in first place, her husband Nick's career has been at its peaked in the past year and Esther has reduced her appearance on-screen, but she is still a good actress after all and getting "privatize" to her family is indeed a waste. This time, she encountered a good script and partner, thus she "sneaks out" for three months to shoot Always and Ever with Bobby. Now that her daughter is older, will she be in more series? Esther said: "There was nothing written on paper, but I shouldn't be out working at the same time as Nick. Even when I accepted Always and Ever, I checked the schedules with him, but after we talked about it, it was like we never did. No matter what we planned, there will always be sudden changes. When I was shooting in Foshan, one day my daughter called me and said, 'Aiya, no dad or mom.' The next day, I had a day off and I went straight back to HK to comfort her. Although there is someone to babysit her, when she misses her mom and dad, she doesn't have any siblings, so I have to play the sister role too!" Esther expressed she doesn't have too many productions, but for future series, she will look at fate and the script before she considers whether to take it or not.

Esther had an extraordinary success in television; she had portrayed several roles on screen. Back then, Esther's career was doing better than Nick, thus the couple was seen as 'woman superior, men inferior'. Esther immediately stopped this thought: "No! That's what you (the media) think! Our relationship isn't about who is better than who. The relationship is the relationship, we don't talk about our work. In my eye, Nick is my boyfriend, my husband. Today he had made good accomplishments and success, he is definitely 'My Pride'!" She praised Nick for being hard working all along, even for comedies, he really puts in a lot of effort into doing well. It was just his hard efforts didn't encounter a good opportunity yet.

Felt Guilty for Neglecting Depressed Husband

Esther disclosed when Nick had depression, she felt guilty because she neglected him. "I really do feel a little guilty! At the time, I was taking care of our daughter, and when he came back from work in Mainland, he didn't really want to talk to me about it. While he was in Mainland, I knew he wasn't feeling well and back home, he kept throwing tantrums or does something strange. Actually he knew himself, eventually he was the one who told me he had some problems and needed to see the doctor. He knew how to face the problem himself and I didn't have to convince him to go see the doctor. I felt guilty for neglecting him. He came back and didn't want to tell me much because he didn't want me to worry. He had too much to think about. After all, the people relations in the film industry is much more complicated than in the TV industry. The most important is to let him have a good sleep, I was responsible for making this happen for him, but I never tried to encourage him."

Choose Bobby as Her Partner

Nick is Esther's current 'My Pride', but at work, is Nick also her best partner or is her old partner Bobby better? Esther laughed: "That can't be compared! They each have their strengths. At work, Bobby is a good partner. He knows how to create atmosphere. His personality can make the whole crew happy and turn stressful moments into relaxing ones. He has very good people skills. I get into arguments when working with Nick, at work we don't get along, but nothing happens with Bobby. He is all around and laid back. You can give him the lines any way you want and he will take it. He's very flexible and won't be too stubborn. I'm personally more stubborn and match perfectly with a non-stubborn partner."

Bobby suffered from acute pneumonia during filming of Always and Ever and fell into a coma. He practically came back from the dead. Esther frankly expressed she jumped in shock when she heard the news. "He almost died, he was in the ICU! But, when I visited him, he was already speaking nonsense and at that moment, I knew he came back! You know, someone lacking oxygen can really affect the brain, but I saw he was joking and speaking nonsense, I knew he was ok." Bobby's accident has influenced Esther to be more cautious about her own health. She said: "I heard he almost lost his life, and it was just food going down the wrong pipe too. I'm not young either, I should not be talking while I'm eating, don't want to be choking. He's a man and that accident hurt him that much, it will be even more damaging for us women. Can't be rescued."

Today's FaDans Are Courageous

Esther was awarded the TVB title "Best Actress in a Leading Role" in 1997. She was the first one to get that title and definitely qualifies to comment on today's FaDans. Esther laughed: "They each have their strengths. For one thing, they're all taller than me, they look hotter as pilots and fire fighters. I'm not sure why they wanted me to be a fire fighter back then, and even carry such heavy equipment around. The girls nowadays are much more courageous. In the past, we would never appear on screen with just our bras. Eliza Sam even pulled out her bra. We're very conservative."

Supports TVB Awards Game Rules

TVB choosing TV Kings/Queens, whether the rules behind the game is fair had always been questioned. Esther actually accepted this type of game. "Doesn't really matter. Artists doing well, the audience will naturally support them. Having a good relationship with TVB and contributing for TVB, then giving them the awards is no doubt. Contracted artists, of course they can get awards. Its hard to keep people now, they can't give enough money, but they can give them some fame. Also to be regarded highly by TVB, you must have some audience fate. TVB can have their own strategic planning. Allowing audience to vote, there is fairness and there is TVB's standpoint as well. I don't oppose to it."

29 year old former Mr. HK Matthew Ko had been in the industry for 8 years. Although Matthew's career development is only average, his rumors are quite juicy. He was first rumored with Tracy Ip, then Kate Tsui and then a friend introduced him to 28 year old Japanese actress Haruka a year ago, but the two had difficulty maintaining a long distance relationship and broke up after a month. After Matthew broke up with Haruka, he loved to party at nightclubs and hooked up with a fan girl Grace Chan, whom works as an insurance agent. The relationship lasted for 2 months.

Last night, reporters spotted Matthew at a nightclub in Central with good friend Vin Choi. They were there with many male and female friends, but Matthew and a Japanese speaking girl with a short skirt on were stuck together the whole time. It turns out the Japanese girl was his ex-girlfriend Haruka.

Matthew had a few drinks before getting more and more open. Since he and Haruka hadn't seen each other for a while, Matthew started making out with Haruka in front of his good friend Vin, whom eventually thought they were too mushy and walked away. Matthew didn't care about his friend and continued making out with Haruka, he kissed and hugged her.

After the make out, Matthew and Haruka left the nightclub at 4am hand-in-hand. During their walk, Haruka slipped and Matthew slowed down for her and then took her back to a Lan Kwai Fong hotel.

[Oriental Daily] contacted Matthew to ask if he and Haruka are back together? He said: "We aren't dating. We're just intimate friends. She came to HK lately, and I'm just taking her out to play. (Friends make out?) We were only like that because had a little too much to drink. (Any chance to develop further?) Actually back then when she left, I reallly felt unwilling to part with her, but I haven't thought of developing further. She is a Japanese actress, if she really could stay, that would be the best. I will need time to consider, unfortunately she is leaving tomorrow."

Tracy Ip Isn't Jealous

Rumored girlfriend Tracy Ip generously expressed in an interview she knows Haruka too. She said: "Actually Matthew mentioned this girl to me before. He felt it was a pity they couldn't develop further!" When speaking of reporters catching Matthew making out with Haruka? She said she was not there, and didn't know how intimate they were. "Perhaps its just an angle issue. You know those places are packed! (Are you jealous that he and the girl are so intimate?) Jealous? Why would I be jealous? I actually want to ask him why didn't he take me with him. He probably thinks I'm in the way!" She stressed once more that she and Matthew are just long time good friends. They are often in touch and she sees him as a friend whom she can talk about relationships with. Tracy and Matthew have been rumored for some time now, will Tracy consider being more than just friends? She said: "You kidding? Just good friends. (But you two have been rumored for so long.) Just let it be."

A month ago, Fala Chen indirectly implied she broke up with her "husband", the Neway Prince, Daniel Sit Sai Hang and ended their 7 year relationship. A year ago, the couple were rumored to have been secretly married in the US, but earlier it was rumored they had changes in their relationship and they ended up splitting their assets. Fala moved out of their "love nest" in Ho Man Tin and stopped using the Sit family's 7-seater black van that she usually used to get around. When Fala indirectly implied she broke up with Daniel, she went to the US for continuing studies and to recover from her love injuries.

A few days ago, Fala comes back from the US and it was said this trip actually helped patch up the relationship with her "husband". It appears Fala and Daniel had difficulty giving up their 7 year relationship, not only did they kept in touch, but that day when Fala attended the TITS2 promotional event, she was asked about the "divorce" rumor, although she did not speak too much about it, she did express her home is still in Ho Man Tin. Is her "husband" still living there as well? Fala kept her mouth shut, but their love nest's lease has already expired, Fala made this trip back to renew the lease, so she and her "husband" can have a comfortable home to live in and happily reconcile.

After returning to HK, Fala attended the film promotion for Tales from the Dark I & II and her series TITS2. She appeared to be in a fabulous mood. After the events, her "father-in-law" brand new 7-seater van came to pick her up. The license plate had a China-HK tag and has never been exposed in public before. When Fala got in the van, the driver took great care of her and quickly helped the "Prince's Wife" open the door.

When Fala got to her destination and came out from the van. Reporters came running to her for interviews, she smiled and continued walking into a building for her next job. At 6pm, Fala finished working and when coming out of the building, reporters were there waiting for her. She smiled at reporters: "You guys are still waiting?"

The happy Fala waved goodbye to reporters several times and then rushed into the van and headed back to the love nest. Reporters asked what is her relationship with Daniel like now? Fala smiled sweetly and said to reporters: "I have to get into the car."

A month ago, Nancy Wu and Fala flew to Malaysia to promote TITS2. At the time, the series hadn't aired yet, but coincidentally Fala's break up rumor was widely rumored at the time and she became a target for the headlines. Nancy witnessed Fala had not been emotionally affected by the rumor. She said: "Fala is the same, just as happy. She came back from her studies in the US, I met her a few days ago at the TITS2 promotion, I think she's even more spirited than before. I can tell she really enjoyed the time she had while studying in the US. (It was rumored they reconciled?) I'm not sure, after all that is her personal business. Also Fala rarely talks about her relationships with others."

Lin Xiawei and Rebecca Zhu are both artists from Mainland. Looking back, the girls came to HK alone to develop their acting career. They didn't know how to speak Cantonese or have a friend who they could talk about anything to. They came to HK to endure through the real world alone.

Rebecca: My first impression on you was when you first entered the industry, I watched you on TV in a skincare commercial. You were dressed all white, looking so pure. I thought you looked very friendly and gentle. After getting to know you, I realized you are actually quite positive and funny.

Lin Xiawei: Back then when you were running for Miss HK, I watched the show too. My family and I guessed you would be the winner. At the time, I thought you had temperament, you are a wise girl and knew how to dance too. I personally admire girls with a dance background. I later met you in the makeup room, I thought you were someone good to chat with.

Rebecca: At first, I thought you spoke Cantonese, but unexpectedly we started speaking Mandarin instead. You gave me a very close feeling.

Lin Xiawei: You are quite a silly girl, have so much to say and always happy. I came to HK myself for work, I was in theatre for a little over a year, but didn't know much about the HK culture. I didn't really know how to speak Cantonese, but then later I learned more from working with other colleagues.

Rebecca: I'm still bad at it. How come you are so good? In the past, any foreign or HK friends I had, they would accommodate me and speak Mandarin to me. When I was running for Miss HK, I didn't even have the courage to say my own name. After entering TVB, I really had the chance to really learn Cantonese.

Take 1: Villain Role, Gets Yelled At

Lin Xiawei: The greatest difficulty I had was I am a stage actress turned TV actress. I have to put away my exaggerating expressions and really memorize the scripts.

Rebecca: You are very natural in your acting. My first series Silver Spoons, Sterling Shackles, was really stressful. I had huge problem with the language and too many scenes. The producer said, to a newcomer it is difficult, especially memorizing my lines. They all feared I would be nervous, so they give me light pointers. They feared if they said too much, it would stress me out. Have you portrayed a role and got scolded at before?

Lin Xiawei: Yes! In Missing You, people thought I was the third party, but Linda Chung was actually the third party. In The Days of Days, I had a sassy role and I tried my best not to make people dislike my role. Actually its good to have balance. Just do your own part, others might not like it and some will have bad intentions. You must know how to distinguish.

Rebecca: Sometimes I wonder if I'm too stubborn. When people scold you, their words can be too over, but now I understand the reality of this world, have to learn to let go.

Take 2: Kenneth Ma Rumor, Treat it like Promotion

Lin Xiawei: What do you think about rumors? We don't really have much. My most classic one was with Benjamin Yuen! But he had a girlfriend! The media wrote it as if I was the third party. At the time, I really felt unhappy and really understood, this is how the entertainment circle is like.

Rebecca: I don't have that many rumors. I have never dated Clayton Li. We never started, how could we break up? Kenneth Ma's rumor was fake too, but then I'm also afraid of saying something wrong and offending his fans. He's a seun poon!

Lin Xiawei: So, how is your ideal partner like?

Rebecca: Filial to his family, otherwise he won't love you either. His looks must be ok. Nowadays, women better off having money themselves then to rely on others. Have more security!

Lin Xiawei: You're right. Filial piety is very important. I don't have any other special requirement. Women must rely on themselves. Don't lose her career, having money or not is just secondary. The most important is to treat my family and I well. An artist being in a relationship is very stressful. A partner in the industry is very troublesome, but someone outside of the industry is also difficult. We definitely won't be able to hold hands. After work, I get so tired. If I had time, I would want to sleep. Any holidays, I want to go back to Xiamen to visit my family.

Rebecca: Especially in HK. If your other half is outside of industry, its stressful too. Afterall we are public figures, its quite harsh, so gotta really think about it first!

Lin Xiawei: Any guy you go out with is your boyfriend.

Take 3: Mention Raymond Lam, Feel Pressured

Rebecca: You have a cousin Raymond Lam, does he give you more pressure?

Lin Xiawei: At first, he helped me, but later it turned into invisible pressure. I cannot avoid it. There will be people who think I rely on him. Actually I studied performing arts myself, I'm not sure how long this time period will last, but I'm doing a lot better now. The audience is starting to like my roles. I personally like to give myself pressure. I get anxious. No matter how many scripts I have to read, I will finish it all before I go to sleep. I have to work even harder and put in double the effort as others. (Enjoy your brother [Raymond] dating?) As long as he's happy. He isn't young anymore.

Rebecca: Artists are normal people too, they have a life.

Lin Xiawei: Its hard to find someone you really like. He had always been a very attentive guy, family-oriented and I'm happy for him.

He smiled and said he's just trying to fit with the show's theme. The organizers asked Bosco and Fala to participate in a musical, but Bosco explained they were just sitting at the dinner table listening to a male artist sing on stage. When speaking of ex-girlfriend Myolie Wu's appearing in a bikini in Triumph in the Skies II, he accidentally blurted out Myolie frequently wears bikini. He quickly explained himself after making that comment: "I'm saying in this type of series, bikini are frequently seen. (Myolie's figure is very fit?) I didn't watch the series, but how can she wear the bikini if she's not fit? But, I really haven't seen the pictures! (Your current rumored girlfriend Eliza Sam and ex-girlfriend are in the same series wearing bikinis, who has a better figure?) How many people does TVB have? They are all good, afterall there are so many artists in TVB, they all have good figures." Bosco frankly expressed he does not feel disturbed when he sees Myolie's rumors on the newspapers. Since Raymond Lam and Karena Ng publicized their relationship, they have been known as a loving couple. Although there were marriage rumors on several occasions, it is still the peak of Raymond's career and the rumors are just no other than entertainment news. A magazine recently reported Karena failed in trying to "force" Raymond into marriage and ultimately damaged her dignity, she then started taking revenge on her boyfriend. Aside from "blackmailing" him to buy her a 8 million HKD home, she also borrows Pakho Chau to upset Raymond and deliberately insisted to have a male massage her. Apparently Raymond got so upset, he was "painfully crying".

Yesterday Raymond and Karena denounced the magazine report in a joint statement. The magazine has severely damaged their reputation. They declared if there are any damages or losses on them, they reserved the right to take legal action against the magazine. They stressed at this point in time, they each value their individual careers the most, it is their priority and there has not been any talks about marriage. All rumors relating to "forcing marriage" and "cheating marriage" are absolutely nonsense. In regards to Raymond "crying severely" and "complaining tearfully" due to Karena taking "revenge" on him,
that is absolutely absurd and ridiculous.

It was said Raymond has spent over ten million on Karena since they started dating. They also clarified they are financially independent. None of those reports of Raymond buying Karena homes, cars and giving her credit cards are true. Raymond and Karena stressed in the statement that none of the false rumors and gossips have caused a negative impact on their relationship at all. Actually they provide encouragement mutually; they're learning and respecting one another. The couple hopes the media will send them blessings and give them some space to develop.

Following Michael Miu's withdrawal from the upcoming TVB drama, "Midas", rumour has it that the actor is planning to begin a career in TVB's rival station HKTV.

Apple Daily reported that despite citing clashing scheduled as the reason for his withdrawal, in actuality, the actor has received an offer from HKTV's CEO, Ricky Wong to star in a drama series with Maggie Cheung Ho-yee.

An insider alleged, "Michael made his return in 2004 because he loves filming dramas. Although he started off as lead star, eventually he was downgraded to playing second fiddle. He was not happy about it."

The report seemed to support an earlier interview Michael did with the media, saying, "I've been in this industry for so many years and have portrayed many different types of characters. Essentially, I filmed one drama for TVB each year. Although they have thought about what kind of character I should play, it is quite hard for me, as I have been offered a lot of similar roles, like a policeman. What else is out there for me?"

It was also alleged that after seeing his good friend Felix Wong join HKTV, Michael felt that it was easier for him to make the move.

Meanwhile, several other actors said to have been offered a place in HKTV include "Sergeant Tabloid" star Michael Tse, "Beauty At War" actress Sheren Tang, and Fala Chen, whose latest series "Triumph In The Skies II", is still airing at the moment.
