Last night, TVB's TV King and Queen were born! Hot favourite Roger Kwok stood out with his performance in "Black Heart, White Soul", tying the record of three time TV King with Gallen Lo and Wayne Lai. As for Ding Jeh, Charmaine Sheh, she took home the TV Queen award once again after 2006, becoming the first ever Fa Dan to a be a two time "double-win" TV Queen! "Line Walker", which attracted a lot of of attention during its broadcast, won "Best Drama" along with 4 other awards to become the big winner of the night!

The TVB Anniversary Awards 2014 were held at Tseung Kwan O TVB City last night. There were a total of 16 awards, and like last year, TV King, TV Queen and Best Drama were voted by the audience and the judge panel, while "Most Favourite Male/Female TV Character" awards were voted by the audience. On the red carpet, Roger Kwok and Charmaine Sheh, who matched in white, were the last to enter, like they were rehearsing claiming the big awards! Charmaine wore a 250,000 dollar long dress made in France, with 2,500,000 dollar jewelry on this grand night.

Mother helps relieves stress

Roger Kwok, Wayne Lai, Raymond Lam, Ruco Chan and others were all favourites for the TV King award. Roger Kwok's "evil" performance in "Black Heart, White Soul" had the loudest support. In the end, he won the award being the hot favourite, while Ah Sheh was crowned TV Queen with her character, "Ding Jeh" in "Line Walker"! 39 year old Charmaine Sheh returned strongly after leaving TVB for 2 years, and became the TV Queen hot favourite with her undercover cop character. No matter her crying scenes or her comedic scenes, they left a deep impression in viewers' hearts. As expected, with her #1 rank in voting, she fought off Kristal Tin, Linda Chung, Kate Tsui and others to take home "Best Actress" and "Most Favourite Female TV Character" (75,171 votes). Actually, back in 2006, she also had a double win with her performance in "Maiden's Vow". Yesterday, she was also awarded "2014 Mainland Most Popular TVB Female Artiste". In 8 years, she became the first artiste to be a two-time double win TV Queen! When accepting the "Most Favourite Female TV Character" award, she thanked the producer for giving her such a fun character and everyone who casted their vote. In the audience votes, she won 28.6%, while she won the full 50% amongst the judge panel. (Audience Votes and Judge Panel take half and half, both weighted 50%). When she accepted the award from Liza Wang, she was teary eyed, thanked the producer and her mother who has accompanied her all these years: "It's very nervewracking being on this stage, it is not easy at all. Really thankful to have such a great script and character, and I also really thank my mom. I am often really stressed, but when I see my mom's big smile, that's already enough. Nothing is ever the best, I will keep trying my best!"

As for Roger, who successfully tied the record of Gallen Lo and Wayne Lai of being a three-time TV King, he had taken home the "Best Actor" award twice before in 2003 and 2005 with his characters "Ah Wong". This time, he played an "evil" handicapped lawyer, no question about his acting skills! 9 years later, he was crowned TV King once again. Last night, he wore a white tuxedo, and on both sides, a shiny crystal image of his son and daughter were printed on. Roger Kwok, who seemed close to ears, thanked God, his wife Cindy Au and their two children: "This morning, I told my son I can't play with hiim tonight, because I have to come to the awards ceremony tonight. My son told me "Take home all the awards!!". But I told him, having you and my daughter, I've won all the awards already! Having the love of my two children, pushed away all the negative personalities I shouldn't have: Jealously, arrogance, pride. When you empty out all of those things, I'm able to face my career so naturally and comfortably." He expressed that today is his wife's birthday and he already ordered a cake. Asked what he will give her? He laughed: "Does the award count? We can hug the award to sleep!" Roger won 16.25% in the audience votes, and claimed the full 50% in the judge panel's votes; first place in both categories.

"Foon Hei Gor" wins award with 60,000 votes

Benz Hui won "Most Favourite Male TV Character" with 62,705 votes for his character "Foon Hei Gor". Benz, who said he voted for himself, said: "Thanks to the producer for creating this character, I am just playing this character for him. And thanks to my wife and my kids. Other than this, "Best Drama" was won by "Line Walker", taking 20.3% of audience votes and 41.6% in the judge panel's votes; also first place in both categories. When award presenter, Chung King Fai announced the results, he purposely joked and said "3 words!". At that moment, Kristal Tin and Roger Kwok thought the winner was "Black Heart, White Soul" (忠奸人) and immediately stood up, but then sat down awkwardly when they realized it wasn't them. TVB expressed that they ended the voting earlier by half an hour this year to accommodate the award presenting timing. The total number of people who voted was 185,779, less than last year.

Ram Tsang and Josie Ho win "Best Supporting Actor/Actress"

Ram Tsang won the "Best Supporting Actor" award with his character as "Ko Manager" in "Come On, Cousin!". When he accepted the award, the whole audience cheered loudly. "20 years ago, I was on this stage as a singer. 20 years later, I am on this stage again as an actor, playing a singer. I am a professional actor!" He also thanked his "swift horse" (someone he saw his talent and gave him an opportunity), Wong Cho Lam: "With his height, being a "jockey" is absolutely right. He told me: "Let me lead you, I can take you to the finish line!", touching Cho Lam to tears. He also sang a part of Linda Chung's song from "Witness Insecurity, "Most Blissful Thing" on stage, a drama which he was also a part of. As for "Best Supporting Actress", Josie Ho was the black horse who took the award home. She expressed she would bring the award to her father, Ho Hong Sun, who is in the hospital.

After Sire Ma was involved in her recent "relationship" scandals, she rested for a while and recently returned back to work. Unfortunately, recently, she began receiving threats online, with netizens saying they would expose Sire and another artistes' conversion, involving some sexual topics and blackmailed her to leave the entertainment industry. Sire Ma stated that all of it is fabricated and what the person is doing is considered threatening already, so she has called the police for help.

Artiste Sire Ma was involved in a scandal with Mainland female producer, Wang Zi Qi and rich societal figure, Laura. The situation went on for a long time, and as time passed, the news had died down and Sire was also able to return back to filming. However, recently, she received threats online and decided to call the police for help last night.

Ron Ng dismisses the rumours as nonsense

According to sources, Sire Ma has been disturbed by anonymous netizens' messages on Weibo. In the beginning, Sire did not want to blow up the situation and handled it herself; however recently the messages were getting worse. Apparently, the netizens expressed that they would expose her and another artiste's Weibo private conversation, with sexual contents and even said the sexual conversation had mentioned Ron Ng. They used this to blackmail her to leave the entertainment industry. Sire Ma felt that the situation involved fabrication, and their comments are also imposed with threats; therefore feeling the seriousness of the situation, she decided to call the police. Late night yesterday, she wrote on Weibo: "In the past few days, I have been receiving threatening and disturbing messages from different Weibo accounts, and threatening to expose fake and fabricated conversations. I tried to ignore it, but when the situation now involves slander and fabrication and is also affecting my co-workers, I must take action. This case has already been passed to the police and will be followed by my lawyer. Here, I once again would like to say sorry to my co-workers who got involved into this!"

Reporters contacted Sire, and she expressed: "I didn't use Weibo for a long time until recently, but I kept receiving threats and disturbances. Someone threatened me to leave the entertainment industry, and said if I didn't, they will publicize my conversations, but the so-called conversations are fabricated and fake. I tried reporting to Weibo to block them, but it is no use. There would immediately be other accounts to continue the threats. Because this has affected my co-workers, so I decided to call the police last night. (Who do you think is threatening you?) This year, I've heard all sorts of comments and criticisms. I've already gotten through the hardest times, all I want to do is to focus on working, and live life positively. No matter who it is, I have to thank him/her. These situations will only make me stronger." Sire expressed that the case has been passed to a lawyer to follow already, and they have already lawyer's letters to related magazine companies, keeping the right to sue. As for the endless slanderous rumours, Sire stated that she can only use the law to protect herself, and get justice for herself. As for Ron Ng, who got pulled into the situation, expressed through phone: "Such nonsense. It is all fake, no comment."

TVB supports her, will not replace her role

Sire Ma is currently filming for TVB ancient drama "With or Without You". Luckily, she has her company's support. TVB Deputy Director of External Affairs, Tsang Sing Ming expressed: "The company knows she already called the police, and she also denied the accusations of those private conversations on Weibo. The company is supportive of her calling the police for help and protecting herself." "With or Without You"'s producer, Wong Wai Sing also expressed that this case will not affect Sire's role in the drama. He said: "I just found out Sire called the police. In the drama, her role is a second-line role, the amount of scenes she has is not little! She has already filmed half of it; the situation will not affect her performance, nor will we change her role. Not worried about her safety, her outdoor scenes are all within company boundaries. If someone wants to harm her, they cannot even come in." He also praised Sire's performance in the series.

Sire's manager also supports her: "The so-called conversation is definitely not written by Sire. All of it is not written by her. She kept receiving threats and personal attacks and Weibo, because this time, the situation affected her co-workers, so she needed to stand up and take action. The situation has been passed on to the professionals now, Sire will also continue focusing on her work."

TVB drama, "Come On, Cousin!" broadcasted its finale yesterday night. Actors Wong Cho Lam and his fiancée, Leanne Li, Roger Kwok, Joey Meng, May Chan, Bob Lam, etc. attended the "Come On, Cousin Awards Ceremony" at a shopping mall and watched the finale with the audience. The actors took turns performing songs, and during Siu Bo's performance of "Passionate", Bob Lam took off her shawl, and the two danced intimately and kissed.

Good relationship with future mother-in-law

Yesterday afternoon, when Wong Cho Lam attended a function, he revealed that other than the wedding photos he and Leanne took at Disneyland, they will also be going to Maldives to take more wedding photos. He exposed that there is actually someone willing to sponsor 100 tables for their wedding, but Disneyland is where Cho Lam and Leanne had their first date, so Leanne really hopes to hold their banquet at Disneyland. Therefore, he rejected the sponsor. There were reports saying that Leanne's mother doesn't like him, Cho Lam denied and said there is no such thing, he has a very good relationship with his future mother-in-law. He also revealed that back then, Leanne had a chance to work with her idol, Leehom Wang, making Cho Lam quite scared. Asked if he is scared that Leanne Li will regret, so that's why they will be taking contraceptive measures for two years after their marriage? He expressed that they want to have their "two-person world" for now, but it is hard to say if accidents happen. He also cleared up the rumours of him wanting to leave TVB. There is still a while until his contract ends, so he hasn't thought about it; right now he still occasionally goes to Mainland China to work.

Still has contract with TVB, hasn't thought about leaving

Last night, Leanne Li wore her 4 carat proposal ring, and said that the proposal is still very dreamy to her, so she wears it to remind herself. As for her marriage ring, that will be a simply style, because they will be wearing it all the time. Her proposal ring will be kept in a safety box. As for Cho Lam saying because she wants to hold their banquet at Disneyland and rejected a 100 tables sponsor? She said that Disneyland has a special meaning to both of them, they still have a childish side and love to play. Asked if they are going to Maldives to take another set of wedding photos? She said that she had two choices of where to take wedding photos, either in Mauritius or at Maldives. But because they aren't very familiar with Mauritius, so they decided to go to Maldives. She expressed that she wants to wear a swimsuit to take the photos. Cho Lam, who was beside her, laughed saying if she wants him to wear swimming trunks, he is okay too, but don't expect him to have a body like Louis Cheung. Leanne laughed saying she already gave up on that ages ago.

The couple will hold their wedding on February 14th, 2015 and have their banquet at Disneyland the day after. Their best men and bridesmaids will dress as dwarves and witches. Cho Lam revealed that there will be around a group of 30 best men, including The Fortune Buddies, Super Trio group, etc while the bridesmaids will include Linda Chung, Christine Kuo, Eliza Sam, Oceane Zhu, etc.

Since Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) and Faye Wong (王菲) reconciled, Jennifer Tse (謝婷婷) has not seen the couple since the news broke out. Jennifer attended a jewelry event and said she will have to personally choose a Christmas present for Faye Wong. She said: "Their names can be engraved on a bracelet. This idea is thoughtful and I want to gift a my mummy and Faye one". (Whose name is going to be engraved in Faye's one?) Maybe engrave both their names (Faye and Nicholas). (Engrave sister-in-law?) That would be good, I think this will frighten her, in fact I think her name is pretty. Jennifer was asked whether she has plans to meet Faye during Christmas, she said: "I don't know, but I will not be going on a trip. (She is coming to Hong Kong?) That would be good. I haven't seen her! Jennifer was wearing a deep V dress and asked if she was more open after break up? She laughed and said: "No, I want more space to show the jewelry".

She was then asked whether she had princess disease causing the breakup with Sean (戴尚安). She said: "Every time there is a breakup, there would always be this kind of news. It would either say I'm not good enough or the other half is not good enough. I have learnt to be an independent person when growing up, so I don't have princess disease. I wouldn't be upset about it, because my brother told me that in this industry "If you want to eat salted fish, you must be prepared to endure the thirst (meaning: Take consequences of what you did). In fact before, me and Sean have discussed about how we should announce our breakup. Sean even said we should hold a press conference, but I think there is no need to. In the end, we decided to announce it online. (There was rumors you weren't good to Sean's mother?) Me and my brothers are always polite to the seniors. Our relationship is very good. When I was with Sean, I would see his mum more than seeing my family. We have a lot to talk about and we would often go online shopping!" She even gave her blessings to her ex-lover Andy On and Jessica C being together. There were rumors saying  Jessica is worried you and Andy On (安志杰) will get back together? She laughed and said: "I don't think it would happen. They are in their honey moon phase, they wouldn't care about other people.

TVB actor Wong Cho Lam recently denied rumours saying that he has actually popped the question to Leanne Li prior to the live-TV proposal during the TVB Anniversary Gala.

Previously, Netizens accused the actor of pretending to make a surprise proposal and that Leanne faked her shock to attract viewers to watch the Gala, in TVB's attempt to win viewership against HKTV.

Many claimed that both Leanne and Wong have already been engaged, as the former has even gone on an interview with a bridal magazine to talk about marriage.

However, according to HK Top Ten News, the actor, who attended the premiere of his new movie "Rise of the Legend" recently, swore that he had not proposed to Leanne prior to the Gala.

He stated that both of them have always talked about marriage throughout their relationship, even before he popped the question.

"Even with marriage in mind, I still had to get blessings from Leanne's parents. And while a woman knows that she is in it for the long haul, she would still want to know how her man would propose," Wong said.

In regard to the fact that Wong has booked Disneyland as a venue for his banquet way before the proposal, Wong said that by that time, he had already received their parents' blessings and could not delay the bookings.

Wong stressed that everything was in place before the Gala, except his proposal.

Though Lily Ho and Hinson Chou previously surprised many by announcing their breakup 14 days after revealing their relationship, rumour is now rife that the two stars are still very much in love but chose to keep it low profile instead.

According to HK Channel, Lily and Hinson were spotted on an outing together in Myeongdong, Seoul a couple of days ago.

While Hinson was originally accompanied by a male friend, Lily arrived later on, donning a black get-up and a hat to make sure she was not spotted.

The two of them were also seen acting chummy with each other as they walked on the streets together.

However, when asked to address the dating rumours in a telephone interview later on, Hinson sounded shocked and declined to make any comment.

Lily and Hinson became good friends after working together on the reality singing competition, "The Voice of Stars". They started dating after collaborating in "Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk" amidst rumours of romance between the actress and 76-year-old businessman, Lam Kin Ming.

They admitted to their relationship after being photographed locking lips in Hinson's car last July, but only ended up announcing their breakup 14 days after the confession.

As reported on Mingpao News, the actress, who attended the press conference of the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards on 27 November, clarified that she has not been seeing a doctor or visiting a Chinese medicine clinic because of pregnancy like it was previously reported.
