Regarding the rumours of his marriage with 29 year old wife, Shi Yang Zi, Lawrence Ng, who is 50 years old this year, recently admitted through Weibo that there are indeed some problems between the couple, they are currently working to solve it. The family of three even went to a vacation on Malaysia after that, in attempt to have a deeper talk. Yesterday night, Lawrence revealed on a phone interview that he and his wife had actually been living separate for 3-4 years already. As for what the problem is between the couple? He said: "The main thing is the cultural difference. We cannot communicate or have a talk. These two years, we've been trying hard, but it isn't something we can solve in a moment's time! The problem arose between the two of us, cannot blame it on one side only." He honestly stated that recent reports on his wife always in contact with the opposite sex is very unfair to her: "The photos of her with the men, are all taken from her Weibo. One of the photos were even with the groomsman from our wedding! I don't want everyone to attack my wife!" He also expressed that his daughter is currently studying primary school, and wants to bring her to Hong Kong to study.

Shi Yang Zi also spoke out for the first time after the marriage trouble rumours on Weibo: "Before marriage, Lawrence and I had an agreement, hoping that I won't film anymore, and comfortably be a full time wife, and take care of the "logistics" at home well.... Loving is easy, maintaining it is hard. I hope we can guard this love we had in the beginning." She also expressed that she wants to return to the industry, because her daughter asked her why she's always at home. She does not want to depend all on Lawrence, and hopes to have an income that can raise herself, her daughter and the family.

Just when it seemed like the two's marriage had a chance of being saved, this morning, at 9:20am, Lawrence announced on Weibo that the two have decied to get a divorce: "As a man, not being able to manage my marriage well, this responsibility, I am incredibly guilty. For my daughter, we really did not want to go to to this last step, but reality is always against our wishes, it seems like divorce is what is best for us. For this, I feel deeply regretful and pained. I can only use the future days to raise my daughter with all my effort, give her the love she needs, and hope to diminish her pain to the minimum. Lastly, I want to thank all the friends who have shown their care to us once again."

Karena Ng had her 21st birthday the day before yesterday. Boyfriend, Raymond Lam spent approximately 60,000 HKD to hold a birthday party for her at a 5 star hotel restaurant, The Krug Room (Another article quotes 100,000 HKD spent). The tables were filled with desserts made to look like Karena's favourite jewelry and high heels, and there was even a huge birthday cake in the theme of "Princess' castle". On top of the cake stood a "Princess Karena", with a pig and a dog by the mini castle.

Earlier, Raymond Lam had exposed that he had put a lot of thought into his girlfriend's 21st birthday. Because she is too smart, he did not know how to create an unforgettable birthday for her. In the end, he found a restaurant in the five star hotel Mandarin Oriental, and booked the whole restaurant for the party. The restaurant's privacy level is very high, the head chef is a French chef and only serves 12 guests. So Raymond secretly contacted a group of Karena's good friends to attend.

Yesterday, Karena uploaded a group photo with Raymond Lam and 10 other friends from the party, and 3 short clips. In the group photo, Raymond Lam held tightly onto Karena's hand, incredibly sweet. Karena BB was also very touched by the "Princess' Castle" cake. Although there was only a "princess" on the centre of the cake with no "Prince Chok" Raymond Lam, but he was still creative and instead, transformed into "Prince Pig" on the cake (Raymond's nickname is L.Pig), protecting Princess Karena with her dog, Oreo.

Karena accepted a phone interview and sweetly expressed: "Celebrating with a group of friends, of course I was very happy." Her birthday wish is for everyone to be happy, world peace, and for her career to have different development and be able to play different roles.

French Chef tailor-made menu

"The Krug Room" is a cooperation between Champagne Krug factory and Oriental Mandarin Hotel, and is known as the world's most private restaurant. The restaurant interior design is like a train car, guests can see the chef cooking their food through the "train window". The restaurant only serves 12 people, and the menu is personally tailored by the French chef. Apparently, the minimum charge is at least $4500 HKD, and this time, Raymond Lam's spent approximately $60,000 HKD for the bill, definitely very costly! (Another article states that the minimum charge is $100,000 HKD, unsure which is correct).

Kate Tsui, who has played authority figure roles many times, recently accepted a new challenge with her new drama, "Tomorrow is Another Day", playing a female correctional services officer. On the outside, her personality is very cheerful, but deep inside hides an enormous pain from her childhood. There are definitely many "internal emotions" scenes, and she even attempts suicide for love. It is well known that being able to impact the audience in these types of scenes is not an easy thing. However, Kate was praised by the producer for acting realistically, definitely possible at a shot for TV Queen.

Kate Tsui's new challenge in "Tomorrow is Another Day" is to play a correctional services officer. To hide the fact that she has hidden pain and fear, in addition to the fact that she and Lawrence Ng has an 18 years difference relationship, Kate put a lot of effort into her look and character. Other than wearing a mushroom head wig, her wardrobe accessories are especially young, and even made special adjustments to the way she speaks, in order to convince the audience.

Speaking of the friendship between her and Harriet Yeung (Ha Tau), an officer and a prisoner in the drama, it was, however, misunderstood for love, and in the end, caused Harriet to end her life. On the other hand, her relationship with Lawrence is in between the lines (because of the hesitation in their relationship); therefore a lot of internal emotions were built up in Kate's character, and eventually explodes all at once. She even tries to commit suicide, she said: "Because of the story with Ha Tau, my character feels like it's all her fault, and in addition to many issues and problems, the explosion is huge. It was a very heavy emotional breakdown, so when I filmed it, I had to develop the emotions. I really wanted to film it in one take, but because we havd to film in different angles, I had to cry all night. Good thing the outcome was pretty good in the end."

Would never commit suicide in reality

About committing suicide for love in the drama, Kate expressed that she would never do that in real life. She stated: "There is always a reason when two people can't be together, so even if you suicide, you can't solve the problem. Putting pressure on the other side, dying or not, the feeling is still painful, so why suicide? (Then what happens if you are hurt in love?) Need time to accept it, I would let myself cry for a few days, and let out all the negative emotions and energy." This drama has many emotional scenes for Kate, and she was heavily praised by the producer for her realistic acting, and definitely has the ability to go for TV Queen. Her co-star, Lawrence Ng, also praised her as TV Queen material: "During filming, Kate put her heart into it, very professional and very easy to get along with. She is an actress who does all her homework and does it well, definitely TV Queen level." However, in terms of awards, Kate hasn't thought too much about it too much: "Everyone wants awards, but always thinking about it is very tiring. I won't choose dramas according to the chance of getting an award. No matter what, I will try my best to do well in my role. Of course, I am very happy for the producer's praises, gave me a lot of chances, like last time in "Highs and Lows". I am also thankful to the screenwriter, creating such a special role for me, so I tried my best."

However, the deepest impression given to the audiences was the rumours between Ron Ng and herself. Last year, it was heard that Ron used the dessert strategy to woo Kelly during the filming of the series, but he hinted that Kelly self-created the rumours.

In addition, Kelly was rumoured to be involved of breaking the marriage between Koni Lui (呂慧儀) and Dickson Wong (黃文迪). Last year on Weibo, Dickson Wong uploaded photo of a female with black colour nail polish and incurred his wife's jealousy. Thus, the netizens suspected that it was Kelly Fu.

The actress reportedly has already visited the location in Central to oversee renovations and manage other tasks, including hiring of staff.

Queenie has also started learning about the business by visiting her boyfriend's other restaurant, so that she can supervise the new restaurant as soon as it opens.

The annual TVB awards in Singapore "Starhub TVB Awards" has officially ended. The "My Favourite TVB Male Actor" award was awarded to the "black horse", Ruco Chan for "Ruse of Engagement" and also won one of the "My Favourite TVB Male Characters" award with his role in "Brother's Keeper". When Ruco went up to the stage to accept his award, host of the night, Dodo Cheng, knew that he had shaved his head for his current drama "Cheung Po Tsai", so she purposely told him to take off his hat. Ruco obediently complied with her request.

After 20 years of being in the industry, it is Ruco's first time getting a TV King award. In the drought of TVB siu sang's these few years, he has been heavily promoted and given many male lead roles. His drama, "All That is Bitter is Sweet" is also being broadcasted before the TVB Anniversary, so logically, he should be quite confident with the TVB TV King award this year. However, this year's competitors turned out to be very strong, including Roger Kwok in "Black Heart, White Soul", Wong Cho Lam's "Come On, Cousin" is also airing soon, Ruco is up for a race! But, getting the Starhub TV King award this time, Ruco is very happy and excited; asked if he feels like he was a "black horse" for the award? He pointed out that the competitors are very strong. This time the award was voted by fans, so he is very grateful. As for whether this award has increased his confidence to claim the TV King award in Hong Kong? He responded :"Go with the flow! I am already very happy with this award."

Pre-Battle before Anniversary Awards

As for popular drama "Line Walker", Charmaine Sheh was awarded the TV Queen award and one of the favourite character awards, as anticipated by the audience. The Starhub awards and the Astro On Demand awards to be held next month, have always been seen as a pre-battle for the TVB Anniversary Awards. This time, Ruco and Charmaine took the first dibs on the TV King and Queen awards, giving them both a boost of confidence.

Charmaine Sheh has confidence to claim TV Queen again

Charmaine Sheh is the hot favourite for the TVB TV Queen this year; her "Line Walker" had great success in terms of both reputation and ratings. In addition to her outstanding acting ability, getting the TV Queen award again at the end of the year seems to be quite easy. Asked if Charmaine has gained both fame and fortune through the drama? She thanked everyone for their support. When she accepted the award, it made her think back to all the times when they filmed the drama; all the hard work was worth it. As for whether she has the confidence to win TV Queen again? She said: "We won't know who will win until the very last minute, but I have confidence, go with the flow!" However, Linda Chung also has a chance at the award this year, other than "All That is Bitter is Sweet", her "Tiger Cubs II" is also airing soon; changing her "goodie-two shoes" image, which will be an anticipation. Also, last year's TV Queen, Kristal Tin, is also a strong competitor with her role in "Black Heart White Soul", so Charmaine still has a battle for the TV Queen award this year!

"Black Heart White Soul" wins "My Favourite TVB Drama"

"Black Heart White Soul" was crowned "My Favourite TVB Drama" this year, and the award was accepted by Kristal Tin, Roger Kwok and Louis Cheung. When receiving the award, Kristal Tin said: "'Black Heart White Soul' is the drama that left the deepest impression on me since I debuted, with the best screenplay and the best partners."

TVB actress Kate Tsui has laughed off rumours saying that Samantha Ko has now overshadowed her in TVB due to the latter's alleged relationship with TVB major shareholder, Charles Chan.

As reported on Mingpao News, the actress, who was linked to the Shell King in the past, was rumoured to have rose to her position as one of TVB's most sought after actresses due to his influence.

However, while speaking to the media at an event organised by beauty and health brand SaSa, Kate dismissed the rumours and said, "Maybe I am targeted with such rumours because I have a new series ["Tomorrow is Another Day"] airing."

"It has been two years since I last heard the rumours, but it seemed like it has not left me at all!" the actress joked.

Kate also denied feeling angry with the rumours, saying that she will not dwell on them and will just let it fizzle.

In regards to the reports saying that she has lost her star power as Chan is now focusing on Samantha, Kate joked, "I never had any power in TVB, so how can I lose it? It's not fair for us. Actresses work hard to get where we are, and to prove ourselves. Why deny us this? Samantha is a hardworking actress. I hope that the rumours will die down eventually."

Kate stressed that actors rarely see Charles Chan except during TVB Anniversary events.

Vincent Wong (王浩信) acted as a tactless prison officer in the new series, Tomorrow Is Another Day (再戰明天), and always had the gentleman image. He was given many opportunities including series, Coffee Cat Mama (貓屎媽媽), Swipe Tap Love (愛我請留言) and others. Vincent disclosed he had discussion with the company about trying different roles and changed his image. He said: "I have been acting as a rich man son since my first series and hope to have some changes. This time, I act as a tactless prison officer in Tomorrow Is Another Day, and resemble the role acted by Chow Yun Fat (周潤發) in the series, An Autumn's Tale (秋天的童話). I watch his acting before acting in the series." Vincent also went for additional training to keep fit in order to act the role well. The film producer added a topless scene for him upon knowing his training. Vincent said: "I restrict my diet for two to three months due to this series."

When asked about his thoughts after getting the 'Most Improved Artiste 飛躍進步男藝員' award last year, Vincent expressed it was an 'alert' for him and said: "I must perform better and try different roles, and looking forward to the audiences' reactions after broadcasting the series." Currently, Vincent was filming for the new series, Flat Slaves (樓奴), and will be the main male lead. In the series, he acted as a typical Hong Kong citizen and illustrated the worries of buying property. In the reality, Vincent was saving up to buy property and said: "In fact, I am unable to get into the car and the role involves saving money together with my girlfriend for 14 years in order to buy property. Right now, I rent a flat and have more stress. (Does it affect giving birth plan?) I do not think how many I can afford now and Hong Kong people need to handle lots of stress. It should be okay for me!"

When asked if he was eyeing for the 'Male Supporting Lead 男配角' award this year, Vincent said: "I am very happy for being nominated and getting an award is a bonus for me. I am looking forward to the audiences' reactions after watching the series, Tomorrow Is Another Day."

Sire Ma was exposed to have been the third party in Mainland wealthy woman, Laura and TB producer Wang Zi Qi's relationship last December, starting a "brokeback" (same-sex) relationship. Her "innocent rabbit" image completely shattered. Who knew that after that, in July of this year, a video of her doing a provocative dance in playful lingerie would be leaked, and Sire was once again thrown into the freezer by TVB. With no jobs on hand, she went to England in mid-August, saying she had registered for an acting course and will stay there for a while. However, Apple Daily discovered the night before, that Sire Ma had actually already secretly returned to Hong Kong for work. She is currently filming for a movie directed by Ann Hui. Sire was seen dressed in a blue qipao, in a student look.

Around 6 pm the night before, Sire Ma arrived at the filming site in Lai King Estate in a movie company van. When she arrived, a make-up artist and hair stylist started working on her, and ate while waiting for her scene. During that time, some housewives nearby saw her and wanted to take pictures, she did not reject and agreed to take pictures with the passerby's.

Ann Hui offered her the female lead role in her story

That night, Sire mainly had to film one shot. The content was that she passes by a dessert place, sits down to eat dessert, and has a few exchanges with a young actor. Director, Ann Hui would explain to Sire before filming each shot; in the end, she had to film until around 11 pm before she was done.

According to sources, the name of the movie Sire Ma is filming is called "8 and a half". The whole movie consists of 8 mini-stories, the setting is the 50-60's in old Hong Kong. Other than the story in which Sire is the lead, that Ann Hui is in charge of, the other seven stories will be directed by different directors, including Johnnie To, Ringo Lam, Tsui Hark, John Woo, Sammo Hung, Yuen Woo-Ping, Patrick Tam, etc. Johnnie To will also be the producer of this movie. Movies nowadays are all digitalized; through this movie, they hope to commemorate the old "film" method through the collaboration of outstanding directors of the 80's.
