After years of marriage discord and divorce rumors, Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (楊冪) have finally announced their divorce in an official statement today. The two got married in 2014 and had a daughter, Noemie, in June of the same year. The divorce rumors were especially rampant this year when the two former couple’s online interactions were reduced. Not only that, Yang Mi had posted a picture of only herself during Mid-Autumn festival, making many question why Hawick Lau and Noemie were missing.

The official statement says:

“Thank you to everyone for your love and support for Hawick Lau and Yang Mi. Through both parties careful consideration, they have decided to relay the following message through our management company: The couple have already signed the divorce papers, amicably splitting up this year and ending their marriage.

This decision was carefully considered with respect by both parties. Although they won’t be living together as a married couple anymore, both parties will take on the role as a family member to take care and raise their child together. At the same time, they will wish well of each other’s future as friends.

Both artists used the media’s public resources for their own personal affairs, troubling everyone. For this, we extend our sincerest apologies. At the same time, in order to protect the child and both families, after this statement is public, both parties will no longer respond to this matter. We hope the media and the public will respect their wishes and give them their own space. Please don’t bother their child or either party’s families.

Once again, thanks to the media and the public for their concern, support, and love. The both of them will continue to work hard and live well. Thanks!”

Leanne Li (李亞男) has given birth to baby girl, Gabrielle on the 17th. The new mother posted the good news on Instagram yesterday. Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍), revealed Gabrielle is 7.1 pounds. He shares, “During the delivery, the doctor put on Jacky Cheung’s “Love You More Each Day.” So it felt no different than her getting gel nails done. The whole process only took 10+ minutes or so, when I finally saw her. I cut a bit of the umbilical cord ceremonially because the doctor had already cut it during the C-section.” Wong Cho Lam also jokes, “Her eyes look like mommy’s, but unfortunately, her nose and mouth looks like mine. I’ve heard daughters change when they turn 18. I will pray for her, hoping she will look more like mommy.”

Wong Cho Lam revealed he didn’t carry baby Gabrielle until a week later. He says, “I’m afraid I will cry if I carry her. I have to nourish my voice for the musical. So after the musical ends, I will have a good cry. On Leanne Li’s condition, Wong Cho Lam shares that she was still in pain after the C-section and had to take pain killers. However, he says that Leanne Li looks really happy looking at their daughter while she’s breastfeeding. He says he chose the right wife and said Leanne Li is a good mother.

When asked what push present he plans on giving to Leanne Li, he says, “After her postnatal care, we will go to Japan and eat sashimi. She hasn’t eaten it for a year.” On their plans on having another baby, he shares, “I’ve heard you have to wait 6 months after the C-section. I want to have one sooner because I’m getting old.” On whether he wants to have a boy, Wong Cho Lam says, “It’s up to fate.”

Jackie Chan’s (成龍) daughter with Elaine Ng (吳綺莉), Etta Ng (吳卓林), recently returned to Hong Kong as a married woman with her Canadian wife, Andi.  It has been quite tumultuous for her and her family as she came out as a lesbian and left home to be with Andi in Canada last year.  Her struggles in Canada were also documented when she and Andi were publicly asking for financial assistance and even tried to look for Jackie Chan as a last resort.

“He’s actually not bad or good in my eyes because I don’t know him.”
Etta Ng and Andi recently sat down with Apple Daily for an exclusive interview.  They talk about their relationship and future and also bring up Etta Ng’s relationships with her father, Jackie Chan.  When asked if she’s ever seen her father before, Etta Ng, who has been given the moniker “Little Dragon Girl” by the media, responds, “I’ve never seen him.  You asking me if I’ve ever seen him is like me asking you.   The level of familiarity I have with him is about the same as yours.  He’s actually not bad or good in my eyes because I don’t know him.  I won’t judge a person I don’t know.  I know when I was younger I said some impulsive things, but right now my mental health is much more balanced.  I believe people will do wrong things sometimes.  However much wrong you did, is your life, not my life.  I don’t even care.  But it’s really weird.  Once I was born, everyone knew who I was.  I don’t even know who I am.  Everyone is looking at me and waiting to see how I die or how I end up.  I’m thinking to myself, what?”

When asked if it was stressful being Jackie Chan’s daughter, Etta Ng says, “It’s true.  That’s why I was really unhappy before.  It was the hardest for me when I was going to school in China.  People thought I had a relationship with my father and would say things like “rich girl, rich girl.”  I don’t even want to talk about that school, but those teachers are also useless.  I was on the ground being kicked.  A teacher passes by and says, “Don’t be like that.”  They stop and the teacher leaves, but they continue kicking.”

“I’ve never thought about getting anything from him.”
Jackie Chan once revealed in an interview that he was leaving half of his estimated 3 billion HKD fortune to his wife, Joan Lin (林鳳嬌) and son,  Jaycee Chan (房祖名), while the other half is being donated to charity.  In Jackie Chan’s latest memoir, there was no mention of Etta Ng at all.  On these comments, she expresses, “I don’t want anything from him.  And I don’t mind,  I’m not hurt.  It’s really none of my business.  It’s good that he’s donating to charity, but maybe I think too much, like where is his money going and how is it being used?  In the end, I don’t care.”

About the video of her searching for Jackie Chan, Etta Ng says, “When I was looking for my father, there were a lot of things I didn’t know.  I wasn’t trying to get money from him or money from anyone else.  Everyone who watched the video said, “You want money, you want money.”  No, I was confused.  I was scared.  I have mental health problem sometimes.  I feel like a lot of things have made me lost.  In a way, yes, it was a cry for help, but it was a cry for help for information.  If I meet him, I’ll say, “Yo, what’s up dude.  That’s cool.  Can you give me some info? Like what happened when I was young?  Why is my mom like this? I need answers.”

On Rumors of Jaycee Chan Reaching Out to Help
On whether she has met her brother, Jaycee Chan, Etta Ng says no, but the reporter presses on and mentions the rumors of him once helping her and even going out to have dinner together.  To this, Etta Ng says, “No, there was no such thing.  I don’t know him.  We have blood relations.  Like Mr. (Jackie) Chan, I don’t know you.  I don’t hate you.  I don’t love you.  I don’t have any feelings about him.  I only know if his existence.  That’s all.”  On why she changed her last name from Ng to Zen, she says, “I was never a Chan.  I want my own identity.  Zen is really just to remind myself to be calm.”

On Her Relationship with Andi
Etta Ng says about her relationship with Andi, “I understand everyone’s thinking. “You’re only 19 and don’t know what you’re thinking.  You’re rushing to get married.  You don’t know what you’re doing.  You guys will break up in a few years.”  No way.  I know what I’m doing.  She is perfect.  I don’t know how you want me to explain it.”

On the public’s opinion about Andi only being with her for money, Etta Ng says, “When we first met, she didn’t know I was the daughter of someone famous.  I tried my best to explain myself.  As for people saying she’s after my money, I don’t have any money!  So I don’t know what people think.  It’s funny to me.”

Etta Ng also shares she already knew she was gay in the 6th grade.  In order to appease her mother, she had once tried going out with a boy, but she felt it was wrong and hard to accept.  On Elaine Ng not accepting Andi, Etta Ng says, “I don’t think she would dare say it to the media, but I think she’s a traditional woman, it’s hard for her to accept.  When she sends me a message, it will say, “Tell your friend” not “Tell your wife.”  Andi is the person I love the most in the world.  My mom is my mom.  Every child wishes for their mom to accept their significant other.  I think this takes time to slowly adapt.  Maybe it’s too shocking all of a sudden for her to accept change.  So give her some time.  Of course I hope she accepts her, but we have to take it slow.  We can’t force things.”

It has almost been two weeks since the lascivious behavior of TVB actor, Hugo Wong, was revealed by his female fan and occasional hook up buddy, Michelle.  Hugo Wong was accused by Michelle of impregnating her, who is currently 18 weeks along, and then “disappearing” and ignoring her after she told him about it.  Shortly afterwards, another “victim” of Hugo Wong’s sexual advances, singer, TikChi, exposed previous conversations she had with the actor, which shows him asking her to sleep with him on multiple occasions even after she declined.  Yesterday, the actor appeared in good spirits at TVB’s annual artists dinner and even spoke with reporters about his recent news.

Hugo Wong expressed he is taking a short vacation after filming for “Airport Security Unit” is finished.  When asked about TikChi’s recent claims about his sexual advances, he said he didn’t have anything to say.  When asked if his image has been affected, he says, “We first have to be ourselves and do our best.  Actors are role models.  As actors and as normal people, we need to do our best.”  Reporters asked if he is scared of women now, he says, “There’s nothing to be scared of.  You can’t avoid fate when the right timing comes.”  When asked if TVB scolded him for this, he says, “I was frank with them and they have an understanding on what happened.”  On whether he’ll be more careful in the future, he chuckles and says, “Of course.”

After this interview came out, Michelle was livid and cursed him out.  She also shared pictures of her at the hospital with Oriental Daily.  She reveals she is having an abortion in Guangzhou today.  As for Hugo Wong denying he is the father of her baby as he claims they only had sex once over a year and a half ago, she says he’s lying.  Michelle reveals, “A man who makes the woman pay for the room when he is the one asking for sex, what do you think?”  Michelle also shared pictures of the hotel where she and Hugo Wong allegedly met to hookup in July.  She says, “I want to laugh at all his previous comments.  Saying we hooked up at my place and not a hotel.  The next day, I must’ve scared him off.  He was smoking downstairs and quickly came up to make me delete our conversations.  He should get a best actor award for his acting.”

Pissed at TVB and Virginia Lok
Michelle also shared, “A person who has prior history of wrong doing, how can he continue to be in front of the camera?  Even after the news came out, he hasn’t contacted me.  I tried to look for him around the end of July.  He doesn’t respond to me through any platform or text messages.  He’s always like this.  What is TVB’s attitude on the matter?  Didn’t an executive say they wouldn’t be giving him new work right now? But yesterday’s news said he will continue working hard.  The company even told him to be more careful.  My god.  Are they telling him to be more careful the next time he hooks up with someone?  I can’t deal with much right now.  I just want to know what the hell Virginia Lok (樂易玲) is doing.”

Michelle says after her body recovers from the surgery, she will continue to make him accountable.  Because of the countless times he has hurt her plus the judgment from netizens, Michelle says she is suffering from depression.  She sent a clip of her crying to Oriental Daily and said, “Lately, I’ve been crying every day.  I’ve been depressed for more than a year already.  He once cried and told me he regretted making me suffer.  Now that I think about it, it’s very ironic.  It seems like I’ve never understood this person, it’s very strange.  Regarding the Hiromi Wada incident, he said he was sad for a year.  In the end, he was already hooking up four months later.  Reality is cruel.”

If you watched the 2018 TVB Anniversary Awards show, then you would have witnessed the unexpected bomb Edwin Siu dropped.  In his thank you speech, he thanked his “wife”, Priscilla Wong, stealing the show from everyone else, even if everyone was shocked/upset that Ali Lee won “Best Actress” over Alice Chan.

After the ceremony, Edwin Siu shared they were already married since April/May of this year in New Zealand.  He also shares his first proposal to Priscilla Wong failed.  He says, “The first time, I proposed to Priscilla while we were on the rollercoaster.  We were on the fastest rollercoaster in Europe.  Who knew I would get so scared when I got up there.  I took the ring out and told her to look at it, but no matter what she wouldn’t look at it.  I was afraid the ring would fall, in the end, this mission was not successful.”

As for the second proposal, Edwin Siu says, “Why don’t you guys ask her? I am a bit shy.  I don’t want to reveal too much.  I wanted to use a simple way to complete the mission.  I’ve been wanting to tell everyone since we registered our marriage, but things happened along the way.  Kevin (Cheng) got married, then it was Ruco’s turn to get married.  All of a sudden, Grace (Chan) got pregnant, but I couldn’t say anything.  So I think today was an auspicious day and good opportunity to announce it to the entire Hong Kong audience.”

Edwin Siu shares it was only them two at the civil ceremony, but they told their family afterwards.  When asked about holding a wedding banquet, he says, “We will see.  We wanted to do it privately by going on vacation and getting married.  I don’t know why we chose New Zealand, but Priscilla is a travel expert.  She was the one who chose it.  It was hard to sync our schedules.  Even the witness was a local person.”  Edwin Siu also reveals Priscilla Wong didn’t know he was going to announce their marriage tonight, but he couldn’t keep it a secret any longer.

As for the second proposal, Priscilla Wong reveals, “I proposed to him by the river.  There were no pretty clothes or setting.  We couldn’t even find a pair of fitting rings.  We arrived at a small village and found a pair of rings made from kitchenware…just like that.  At that moment, we didn’t have anything, but we had each other.  The witness asked me, why is it each other?  He said, “She is a person, who if she forgot about me in the next lifetime, I will tap her head, then she will remember me.  Then we will be together again.  She is that person.”  I said, “He is a person, who is always by my side whenever I fall, comforting me while I’m crying and bleeding until I calm down.  Then he picks me up and continues leading me.  He is that person.  What we gave each other is the promise to be there for each other.  There was no extravagant romance, but it’s enough.  We are Edwin Siu and Priscilla Wong.  That day, a rainbow appeared in the sky.  This was the best blessing.”

Another actress is off the market as Niki Chow (周勵淇) announced her marriage on Instagram today.  The 39 year old actress posted a picture of her with husband and Chinese actor, Fu Hongming (傅浤鳴), with the following message:  “We got married. We’re heading into the next chapter of our lives.  Everything is turning out to be the best arrangement.  Sharing the news with everyone here.”

Niki Chow’s company, EEG, also released an official statement on the news: “Thank you to everyone who has always supported and cared about Niki Chow.  Niki Chow has officially announced to all her friends that she has gotten married.  She and her husband, Fu Hongming, chose to have a simple wedding ceremony with only their families present.  They are opening a new chapter in their lives.  The company would also like to congratulate the new couple.  Wishing them a happy marriage and at the same time, thank those who have supported and congratulated Niki Chow, on her behalf.”

When reporters dug up information on Fu Hongming, it was discovered the 45 year old actor was once married to Chinese actress, Cheng Su (程愫) for twenty years.  The two also have a son, but in March last year, the two suddenly got a divorce.  Three months after their divorce, he was rumored to be dating Niki Chow, painting her to be the third party in his marriage.

The couple met in 2014 while filming a Chinese series called “卧底” (Undercover?).  The two played a couple in the series.  It was reported the two would often meet up and talk on the phone to get into their characters.  Fu Hongming was once seen flying to Hong Kong to see Niki Chow shortly after his divorce.

Third Party and Shotgun Wedding?
When Oriental Daily reached out to Niki Chow’s older sister, Kathy Chow (周汶錡), about her marriage, she revealed, “The wedding was actually last month.  You’ll have to ask her about the wedding details.  She’s always wanted a simple, but grand wedding.”  As for her brother in law, Kathy Chow says, “He’s very good.  We all like him a lot.  He treats Niki very well, loves her a lot.”

About the rumors of Niki Chow being a third party to Fu Hongming’s marriage, Kathy Chow vehemently denies it and shares, “Of course not.  People will circulate all kinds of rumors.  We won’t care about what people say.  The most important thing is they’re happy.”  On whether Niki Chow had a shotgun wedding, Kathy Chow also denies it saying, “Definitely not, but I do want her to have kids earlier so they can play with my kids.”

It is reported the two were dating for some time before deciding to get married.  They had their wedding overseas at the end of November and went on their honeymoon afterwards.  The couple just returned to Hong Kong yesterday.
