During the Lunar New Year, Myolie Wu went to Mainland to shoot a new series, and had to been separated from boyfriend Bosco Wong for some time. It was only until last night when the couple were invited back to HK to attend a shopping mall event. The event organizers gave Bosco a Golden Dragon, which blesses him to become TV King soon. As for Myolie, she was given a golden tripod, wishing that she can 'withstand' Bosco. Myolie joked asking Bosco to give her 'family expenses', very loving and funny.

TV Queen Myolie Wu and Johnson Lee's TVB series Wish and Switch ended on Sunday night. In the end, Myolie scarificed her life to turn her husband, Johnson, back into a good person. Viewers were disturbed by the death scene over Lunar New Year.

In one scene at the ER, Johnson saw Myolie's 'corpse' and started crying so hard his snot and saliva came out. He even pushed on Myolie's chest several times in attempt to bring her back to life. His acting was very into character and realistic, but it also angered viewers at the same time. On the discussion forums, Netizens denounced Johnson that this time he totally took advantage of Myolie. One Netizen said: "His harnds were clearly pressing on Myolie's breast for a long long time. He was even pushing up and down on her chest area, wah! Nothing to cover up!"

Regarding Johnson's chest pressing scene, Myolie expressed she had already taken all her safety measures, taping rubber . To make the scene more realistic, she asked Johnson to just boldly press on her chest: "He said sorry to me, but I told him to just directly press on it because its strange if we shoot the scene using angles. It won't look real! (Awkward?) No, we were all very into character. (You were taken advantage of, very miserable?) I don't mind! It's necessary for the scene!"

Johnson also said Myolie did her safety measures prior to shooting the scene and because of this there was not any special feeling: "I was just focused on getting my emotions out, didn't think about other things, no embarrassment! It's a bonus to have talking points!"

As for Myolie's boyfriend Bosco Wong, he did not watch the ending. Asked if he felt jealous? He said: "The heart is in the front side of body, it wouldn't make sense to press from the back? But, after hearing you describe [the scene], my heart feels uncomfortable now, tell Johnson to help me too!"

Wish and Switch finale received complaints about how the death scene was unlucky to be shown on Lunar New Years, Myolie said: "That's not how I see it, the finale I appeared again, which means I came back to life. I hope everyone won't think of it negatively!"

In the recent year, Elanne Kong concentrated on the Mainland market, shooting series after series up north. It was also rumored, she and Mainland actor Yuan Hong (袁弘) sparked love, making her career and love life run smoothly. However, unfortunate incidents happens to Elanne time after time. Following a burglary late last year, yesterday morning Elanne encounters an angry driver that suddenly refused to drive her and kicked her out of the car. Aside from being unlucky, Elanne was also frightened to death.

Initially, Elanne was in Xiangshan shooting for Mainland drama Mulan (巾幗大將軍), but yesterday on the 7th day of Lunar New Year, she and her colleague Candy Liu, and their two assistants set out on the trip back to Hong Kong. A ride on a 7-seater van was prepared for them to take a road trip from Xiangshan to Hangzhou airport. The four girls also had a lot of luggage, so basically the van only had just enough space to fit the four girls and their luggage. However, the driver was already in opposition the previous night, insisting that he has to bring his two relatives along and squeeze in the 7-seater.

As they were heading to Hangzhou, the driver was speeding on the roads and suddenly he started shouting in the car because he was having an argument with the crew over the phone: "No matter what, you must get a car and send my two relatives back to Hangdian, otherwise you will have to pay for them to leave. If not, I won't take [the girls] to the airport and instead make a speedy U-turn back to drive [my relatives] back to Hangdian myself!" Results, the driver heartlessly, rushed Elanne and her colleagues off the van and left them in the middle of the highway under the cold weather!

Although the girls were able to eventually make it safety to the airport, Elanne was still furious at the driver, Master Xu, for his terrible behavior. She immediately wrote about the whole incident on Weibo. She expressed if there was extra space in the van, she and her colleagues wouldn't have mind if the two relatives tagged along with them, but the 7-seater was already very tight, so packed that there was no leg room at all. Master Xu knew the four of them were in a rush to catch their flight, but he still used them to threaten the crew. Elanne exploded that Master Xu is inhumane: "He abandoned four girls in the middle of the highway and in the cold weather. I took the taxi to the airport myself, that Master Xu! Please, can you be a little more humane?!" Elanne urged other artists to be cautious, if in the future they have to shoot in that location, watch out for those rotten drivers. As for Candy Liu, she replied bawling out: "People like him that can survive until now, consider him good luck! It is because he saw that us girls were easy to bully!"

Last night, Elanne finally arrived safely in Hong Kong. When she accepted [Oriental Daily]'s interview, she was still frightened: "That driver was constantly on the phone while he was driving us, his emotions went up and down, and almost flipped the car! Later, we decided to get off the van because we're only four girls without any strength, it's too dangerous, I would rather drive myself." Elanne is born in the year of the Dragon, her fortune this year says she will encounter unfortunate incidents, she laughed and said perhaps because she hasn't wrapped a peach blossom around herself and walked a circle yet. As for taking legal action, she gives her company full authority to handle it for her.

As Elanne's boss, Lam Siu Ming, when he learned his artist Elanne was bullied in Mainland, he very unhappy and angered. Over the phone, he did not hesitate to say he will get to the bottom of this incident: "How can such incident happen? It is about the personal safety of four girls, how can he just abandon them in the middle of the highway, under the cold weather. He absolutely does not have any sense of responsibility for his job and is completely immoral! Anyway, I will find this driver and take legal action on him!"

Michael Miu, Michael Tse, Linda Chung and Ron Ng's TVB series L'Escargot is getting very good response. The episode broadcast the night before, about the aftermath of Ka Lok (Linda Chung) and Ko Wan Jim (Michael Tse) affair, led to the break up of Ka Lok and her boyfriend Dai Ting (Ron Ng). The couple weren't able to continue with their marriage and their performance moved audience to tears. Also, the scene where Michael Miu smacked his little sister Linda and hit Michael (Tse) shouting 'PK' to him, stirred up a very large reaction.

Viewers had a huge reaction to the foul language 'PK' being broadcast on TV. Reporters contacted Michael (Tse) about the issue, he laughed he does not mind getting scolded during the new year holidays. He laughed: "It's just another way to express sympathy!" As for producer Nelson Cheung, he expressed several series from the past had this 'foul language' broadcast too, TVB has a specific department responsible for examining the lines. If there is a problem, then they will point it out and so it should be no problem.

Earlier Linda Chung had an astonishing 'cry' scene in Yes Sir, Sorry Sir, and this time in L'Escargot, she continues the crying to draw in more viewers. There were some readers that complained that there is all this crying and weeping on TV over the Lunar New Year holidays, but at the same time, there are also praises. It was said Linda's crying has improved, a reader said it was a pity Linda couldn't get the My Favorite TV Female Character Award last year at the TVB Anniversary Awards for her role in 'Miss Koo'. The reader strongly supports Linda to get TV Queen for her Ka Lok role in L'Escargot.

Yesterday Linda said over the phone: "The award ceremonies are still so far away from now, I do not dare to say anything. I thank audience for all the support. (Did you have a difficult time crying?) When I was shooting that scene, I was feeling very emotional, really cried so much that my eyes became swollen. (Shouldn't be broadcasting such tragic crying scenes during Lunar New Year?) I hope everyone doesn't just concentrate on the crying, we just wanted to bring a positive message. The most important is the whole family happily together." Also, in the series Linda and Michael had an affair, and broke Ron's heart. It was said the ending will be a tragic one, although Ron forgave Linda, but Linda couldn't forgive herself and declined to reconcile with him!

Although the housing market remains sluggish, but the prices are still very high. Many '80s After' wants to 'get in the car' and buy a home for themselves. Ron Ng isn't an '80s After', but after being in the industry for several years, his mother still lives in a rented apartment. In the recent year, Ron no longer spends extravagantly and is actively saving up in preparation to become a home owner. He will no longer need his mother to worry about him.

L'Escargot starring Michael Miu, Sonija Kwok, Ron Ng and Linda Chung is considered the HK version of the Mainland drama Dwelling Narrowness. The story reflects the Hong Kong housing issue at present time. In the series, Michael Miu's family of 9 lives in a small several hundred square feet unit. Ron praised that the series is well-written and is very realistic. Audience can easily relate to it and he believes TVB should produce more series like this one, that reflects more on society.

Ron said: "Housing had always been an issue for the people of Hong Kong. Otherwise, why would there be so many 'homes'? A whole family crunched up in one room, it's very difficult and all that hard work is only because they want to buy a home. Michael Miu's role suffers so much and even coughs up blood just because he wants to buy a home, so this series was well-written. It speaks of the feeling that each HKer has, so that's why the homes in the series are very tight in space, it's really only 600 sqft. Usually for the convenience of filming, the lead actors that are in debt would still be living in a 2,000 sq ft home, but this time, audience can really feel sympathetic."

As everyone knows, the real estate market is the best investment. In the past, Ron had the same thoughts as an average youngster, where he didn't have any plans to buy a home for the future, but this year, he is determined to become a homeowner.

"Many of my friends are the same, they earn money, but can't save it. They are often buying new things, and this includes myself. I spend money on unnecessary things, such as clothing or cars, everything except for a home! My family is really worried, making me have no sense of security. My mom would always nag me. Every mother wants their children to have their own family. Don't even talk about having a home, I still need to start a family first. My mom's thinking is correct, so this year I want to buy a home. Since the housing market may have adjustments."

It was said Ron often gets a new car, but he no longer wants to spend money on unnecessary things: "I haven't got a new car in a long time. I am now more mature, I don't just think of my own pleasure, but would also think about the future, including what I'll be living in. Cars, I do indeed love, but this is a pleasure with no limit. Buying my dream car would cost me about HK$2 or HK$3 million. Also once I get a new car, the price goes down."

One-To-One Love

In L'Escargot, Ron and Linda Chung were initially a couple, but later because he plays with stocks, his girlfriend had to help him pay off the debts by having an affair with a wealthy businessman (played by Michael Tse). Eventually, the two break up and Ron's role retaliates. "The role Dai Ting is so pitiful. He didn't purposely retaliate, but just wanted to be comforted. He isn't like as rich as Michael Tse's role, and just wants to have a comforting home with his girlfriend. The role was written very realistically, it is a role that I never played before."

"Until the middle of the series, he will become hysterical, crying crazily while kneeling on the floor. One scene, Linda comes running after me, we were both crying so much that our eyes were swollen, but I felt the relationship already had its gaps. Initially I thought it was perfect, get marry, buy a home and have children. Unexpectedly, suddenly it turns into a mess, it's very heartbreaking. In my heart, I loved her deeply, but just couldn't forgive girlfriend for being unfaithful...."

In reality, Ron feels the same way and stressed that he cannot accept his girlfriend unfaithful. Now that he's older, he just likes a faithful 'one to one' romance. "In the past, I cannot say I'm faithful because I didn't know love had to be identical in views. When I was young, I thought I would have lots to choose when I get older, but now I feel finding a partner to date, I have to be responsible and when identifying her as a girlfriend, unless the relationship turns indifferent, I will just keep it as an 'one to one' love. If your a two-timer, you can easily be exposed."

"I will forever believe women have the sixth sense. You may not have done something wrong, but sometimes if you don't want to say, she will feel it. So the 'one-to-one' relationship is the much more stable, no need for trouble."

Breakthrough role in O.L Surpeme

Ron has been in the industry for 10 years. It had been said his acting career didn't change, but he explained: "Each artist wants to have a breakthrough performance. I want to play a role that has a defect, like blindness or mute. I will have to rely on myself to express that feeling. I really want a challenge, we all feel that my acting career had no changes, perhaps because you didn't watch all my productions, including sitcom O.L Surpreme and my Mainland series, then you didn't see Ron Ng's weak side. I was different from before. It is also possibly because my role as police officers had left a deep impression on viewers, from The Academy trilogy to Forensic Heroes, I have been a cop 5 or 6 times. It can be said, since I started in TVB, I'm the artist that played the most police officer roles."

Dating isn't murdering people or starting fires

Since Ron entered the industry, he had been constantly surrounded by rumors. Earlier he was labeled as the 'sister butcher'. In the recent year, he and Mainland actress Viann Zhang sparked love when working in Mainland. Earlier Viann posted a 'bed photo' on Ron's Weibo and started a whole scandal. When asked if Ron felt helpless over the issue? "Artists are very passive, including companies asking me to shoot a series. I am just as passive when it comes to dating and I am low-profile. People have blood and flesh, we have feelings. I personally don't like to talk about my personal life because I don't feel comfortable."

Ron expressed he had always let nature take its course when it comes to relationships. Mutually cherishing one another and have consensus. When asked if he's worried people might say he's too indulged into dating? "How indulged can it be? I don't feel indulged at all and it won't affect my work. I believe there isn't one TVB artist that won't go to work because they had a fight with their girlfriend nor will I let my emotions affect work. TVB also won't get too into my life. Give some space for me to make my own choices." Ron is also thankful of the continuous support fans had for him and he is not worried that they will give up on him because he's dating. "I'm not murdering someone or starting fires, I'm not beating women, what did I do? Fans have followed me for several years, and have matured a lot. They understand my situation and they are not only my fans, but also my friends."

This Dragon year, Raymond Lam and Kate Tsui will be collaborating once again in TVB new series Thunderous Drug Raid. The other day, the two took advantage of their free time and did a warm up. They celebrated the new year together with salad and lively lobsters, which implies the meaning that this year they will get better and better, making more money.

Raymond has been developing in the three industries (TV, film, music) and had not had much time to spend with his family. So for this Lunar New Year, Raymond must take off and get back to his hometown in Xiamen to celebrate the new year with his family. Raymond admitted that he will just get busier and busier, and his parents will get older and older. If he can't even take a small amount of time off to spend with his family, then he doesn't know what the purpose of going out to work is, the meaning of hard work, and all the support his family has given him in the background to waste. Raymond laughed: "Each year when I go back to Xiamen, the happiest thing is having 'Great Aunt's Fruit' that my father personally made. It's really tasty, and this originated from my Great Aunt, but later my father changed it a little. I will definitely have to learn how to make this and pass it down generation after generation."

Although Kate has a break for the Lunar New Year, but she still had to do homework for the upcoming series Thunderous Drug Raid, in which she will be collaborating with Raymond. In the series, she plays a bar 'boxer' that will eventually turn into the next Queen of Drugs. In the meantime, she has already collected several films about drugs and tried researching the role. In regards to her Dragon year wish, Kate expressed: "This year, I am casted in two TV series Thunderous Drug Raid and Triumph in the Skies II. I hope that both will complete smoothly because my roles in these two series have great changes. (There is high possibility that your Drug Queen role will get you TV Queen this year?) I cannot think too much about that, and don't want to give too much pressure to myself. If I'm able to get nominated at the TVB Anniversary, then that's already pretty good. (What about in other areas?) I know last year I only had one film Turning Point 2, but I'm very excited that I was able to continue on the role as Paris. When the time comes, it'll be best if I could be nominated at the Hong Kong Film Awards! As far as singing, I will just be mainly doing stage performances. I'm very happy that there are people who remember my song Hit Me."

Yesterday Evergreen Mak, Mandy Wong and several other cast members especially went to the theater to thank audience for their support and gave out red envelopes. As for Evergreen, who took the lead in the event, said with a smile that the other stars are too busy and he is the one that's not so busy. However, there will be another promotional event later and earlier Eric Tsang already made a special trip back to HK to celebrate.

It was said All Well Ends Well 2012 exceeded HK$10 million in the box office, Producer Ronald Chin expressed the last Lunar New Year film exceeded HK$20 million in the box office, and Eric said before that he will treat the entire crew for a trip to Japan, but up until now, the promise had not been fulfilled yet, so he hopes Eric won't break the promise. If they can't go to Japan, he wants to go to Korea.

L'Escargot's "Kwan Yee So" Mandy Wong had been greatly praised by audience that she is a very pretty girl in person and told her to add oil. She was so happy and couldn't believe her nasty role would be so popular. She personally did not mind being scolded, in fact, the more she gets scold, the happier she is.

2012 is going to be the year of competition within the Hong Kong television industry. New competitors joins in on the competition to draw in more viewers including NOW, iCable and City Telecom. iCable has won the rights to exclusively broadcast the 2012 London Summer Olympics. TVB invested heavily, nearly HK$10 million, on the series Tiger Clubs starring Joe Ma and Jessica Hsuan, which is scheduled to broadcast on the weekend prime time hours (Saturday/Sunday). There are four seasons in a year, for each season, TVB plans to release heavy themed series in hope for a good show on TV every day.

TVB produces 520 hours of dramas and programs each year, and there are non-drama programs too. Program Arrangement Strategic Planner and Production Department Vice-Director (Mr. Ho Koon Chung) accepted [Mingpao]'s exclusive interview and reveals the program arrangements for the Dragon year and the future influence on television, including the inactive TV ratings, housewife audience, poor broadcast periods ('ashes') and even break the conspiracy rumors that suppress the series.

The three new free TV channel applications still have not been approved by the government, but the related TV stations have already put their fists up and are ready to attack. TVB's Mr. Ho calmly said: "It is good that there are new competitors, the industry can have a hundred flowers bloom and bring in new strikes. However, please don't 'wear the same pants', steal the same group of artists and shoot the same type of TV programs. The same productions method is not a blessing to audience. (This year, will TVB have to watch out in the battle, as there are new competitors?) In fact, we have long term arrangements for our programs. We also have the flexibility to make changes, it could change by the day and it's not difficult, but actually its a question of will the change be positive or negative? [We] have to consider this. More importantly, we want to pursue stability. TVB employs many skilled and experienced behind-the-scenes crew and we are an old company, so we seek 'within the stability, seek breakthrough and improvement'."

HK$10 million production, each episode 90 minutes
Mr. Ho believes the greatest momentum for a series is one with a strong theme. This June, TVB plans to release grand production series Tiger Cubs on the Weekend (Sat/Sun). "The series is 13 episodes, each episode being 90 minutes. This is the first Hong Kong TV production that centers around the Special Duties Unit. The production fee for each episode is nearly HK$1 million, which is higher compared to other series. This time we plan to open up the weekend prime time hours. 20 years ago, Files of Justice was also broadcast on Sundays. In June, we will first broadcast Tiger Cubs on Sundays, then in July, we will start doing both Saturday and Sundays. In the past, the Saturday TV ratings have been quite strong. This year iCable won the broadcast rights for the Olympics, so TVB will have to do even better to fight for viewers from our competitors."
Series in the line up for each of the Four Seasons

Season 1 : The Romance Season
* To accommodate Valentine's Day
- Series: 4 In Love (Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh)
- Variety Show: Matching Game (登登登對) hosted by Margie Tsang and Bob Lam

Season 2 : Off Season (May is Poor, June is Dead End '五窮六絕')
* To counter the off season, must have strong productions
- Series: The Boxing King (Kevin Cheng, Raymond Wong)
- Series: House of Harmony and Vengeance (Bobby Au-Yeung, Myolie Wu)

Season 3 : Summer Season
* The season where kids are on summer vacation, time to serve the young viewers.
- Series: Return to the Three Kingdoms (Raymond Lam, Kenneth Ma)

Season 4 : TVB Anniversary Season
* Welcome audience with grand productions, the plans have been set temporarily, but Mr. Ho is unwilling to reveal which series will broadcast at at this time.

The 'ashes' broadcast periods

Holidays, long breaks, students taking finals are all factors that make up what the producers call the period of 'ashes' (off season). Mr. Ho admitted there has recently been more producers upset about their series being pushed into this broadcast period. "There is indeed some broadcast periods that are naturally weaker, TVB does not take a break in supplying series in the mid-year, nor can TVB be sloppy during the off season. As I said, every day is a good day, hope to bring good shows everyday and have no biased. Audience have higher and higher expectations, so the off season period should have even better shows to draw in more viewers to turn on their TVs. I understand producers want their productions to broadcast in the advantageous periods, to gain the best effect, but the program department has confidence for those series, so the arrangement is to keep the viewers."

Mr. Ho reassures his colleagues that they should not be too worried about there being less viewers because the future will just have more and more TVB audience because the company is opening up their windows and is going international. "We do not just face Hong Kong audience, but Chinese people all over the world. During Lunar New Year, HK TV ratings is on the off season mode, but in Malaysia, it is the golden peak period. The locals love catching up on the series during the long vacation and we broadcast our series simultaneously with Malaysia. There are also a bunch of Mainland video streaming websites, the click rates for TVB series are growing. HK audience TV ratings is an important index, but it does not represent all. The television world is getting more and more complex."

The 'Housewife Audiences'

TVB Jade Channel is known as the 'Housewife Channel' because most of its viewers are housewives. "The housewife group is quite large, compared to other groups, they spend more time in front of the TV, but it that doesn't really mean they have low sense of appreciation and are conservative. Just like the recent When Heaven Burns, the housewife audience wrongly took the blame, it's not that they didn't understand, perhaps it is because they don't have the patience or mental state to catch the series. After all, television is different from films, it is necessary to keep the audience focus on watching. When Heaven Burns, lost some housewife audience, but the most viewers were the young audience."

Last Thursday (1/19), Annie and her fiance were at Tsim Sha Tsui trying out their wedding attire.

35 year old Annie had keep her private life extremely low-profile and has been one of the well-behaved girls in the industry. Back then, after she ended her 10 year relationship with the architect boyfriend, she left her love life to fate and didn't deliberately try to find a new partner. It wasn't until November 2008, one evening she was spotted by the media with a suited man in his early 30s (Jason), sitting in her black HK$500,000 Mercedes, parked at Ventris Road in Happy Valley, being intimate and kissing passionately.

The couple's 'shake in the car' brought them together for life. Last Thursday, the couple's secret was leaked to the media again as they were spotted in Tsim Sha Shui trying out their wedding attire.

When the couple were finally done, Annie announced that she's getting married on March 2nd. She will be hosting a 30 table wedding banquet at the Four Seasons Hotel for family and friends. Looks like she has beat good friends Janet, who had announced her marriage last year, and Sherming, who just recently announced, to become the first bride of the Dragon year.

Later, reporters called Annie to confirm the news. She admitted over the phone that she is marrying Jason, she said sweetly: "Yes, we are getting married! The day is set for March 2nd." Is it a Shotgun Marriage? She laughed loudly: "No, even if it is, I can't tell if the 3 months isn't up yet! I have to beat Janet and Sherming and marry first!"

Annie expressed the first person that she invited to be her 'sister' was Charmaine Sheh, she will be in the 'sisters group' (like bridesmaids) along with 9 other girls. Annie and her 9 sisters makes up a group of 10, which means 'perfect'. Among the group includes soon-to-be brides Janet Chow, Sherming Yiu, Angela Tong and Emily Kwan. She said: "In fact, we planned earlier on to be married late last year, but time didn't allow, so it was postponed. Later, I saw my friends were all getting married, so I decided to get on to preparing for the marriage myself." When asked if she's going to retire from the industry after marriage? She said: "No, but I will reduce my workload. I hope to have children with my husband soon."

Sherming Yiu announced today that she will be marrying her boyfriend Alan Ng Chun Hong on April 26, 2012 wrapping up their 8 year romance. Sherming and her fiance Alan went to shoot their wedding photos indoors at Cyberport on the forth day of Lunar New Year. She felt greatly disappointed: "Today I initially planned to do the wedding photo shoot outdoors, but its too cold out, so we could just stay indoors." Sherming reveals she will be visiting Japan in April and do another wedding photo shoot with the Cherry Blossoms. She frankly said: "This wedding photography company thought I told them I was going to be married April of next year, but when they learned its April of this year, they were frightened and said the schedule is tight." When asked why she's in such a hurry, does April 26th have a special meaning? She said: "The hotel I liked didn't have any openings even in the earlier several months, so later they gave me a few dates to choose from and I chose the 26th because it is our remembrance day. In fact, June 26th is our actual remembrance day, but unfortunately June is too hot."

A touching, but funny wedding proposal

When speaking of the marriage proposal, Sherming laughed: "At the time, I was shooting the travel show with Eric Tsang and them in Japan. Then, I stayed there for a few more days, that day it was our remembrance day, and he came to find me in Japan. Actually, I already felt something was wrong, why would his friends tag along with us for dinner on our remembrance day? Later, he showed me a video and it was a video Alan personally made. He was looking for the letters that made up 'Will You Marry Me'. After watching it, he proposed to me, but I didn't even cry yet and he already started crying himself. Although it was really funny, I was still very touched."

As for the wedding, Alan's younger sister will be the maid of honor, but Sherming has a very flourishing group of bridesmaid. She expressed her bridesmaid are basically the same members from Toby Leung's wedding, including Angela Tong, Charmaine Sheh and Annie Man. Sherming also exposed that Annie Man competed with her to marry first, and Timmy Hung will be marrying Janet Chow in March, so she'll be the last one in line. Sherming laughed: "Some friends told us that because I'm the last one among the group, I will also get the least money gifts because they won't have any money left."

Asked if she's going to have a Dragon baby too? She blurted out: "I want to!" Sherming also laughed and said she may have lost the race in getting married, but she will fight to be the first in having a baby. As for her fiance is a village man, does the elders from his family want her to have more children or maybe have a boy? Alan made himself clear: "Does not matter. I feel two children is enough, one boy, one girl." Sherming said: "I want a girl, so I can help her dress up, but if possible, I do want a boy and a girl. It's best to have twins!"

It may be a tough year ahead for the former beauty queen, after she was cheated of her money and lost in the stock market.

Former beauty queen and actress Elaine Ng was rumoured to have received alimony, worth about HK$30 million (S$5 million), and a monthly allowance of NT$400,000 (S$17,000) 12 years ago after she gave birth to kungfu superstar Jackie Chan's daughter Etta Ng.

The conditions of payment was both Elaine and Etta must remain in Shanghai, China.

However, Jackie insisted that he had never paid the actress the said money.

Lately, Elaine sold her properties in Shanghai and relocated to Hong Kong, because of her daughter's education.

The former actress took on a hosting gig at $1,000 per episode, in order to earn extra income for her family. However, she could hardly make ends meet because of her expenses, which included her daughter's needs, car and residence.

Recently, the actress reportedly told her friend that she gave a six-figure sum (S$17,000) to her uncle's ex-girlfriend, to invest in setting up a children talent class.

However, the girl vanished with her money, causing Elaine to post on her microblog, "Help, I'm devastated."

Elaine's future appeared bleak, after her show was cancelled a few months ago. In desperation, the actress signed on with Hong Kong broadcast station TVB, although her paycheck was halved.

When approached, Elaine admitted to reporters that she was cheated and was in desperate need of money.

The media then asked if Jackie had stopped giving her money, to which Elaine's expression darkened immediately.

"I've never said he had given me money before," she said.

A few days ago, when Jackie's son Jaycee Chan was asked if he would help Elaine and her daughter through their hard time, the actor replied, "I don't want my mother to be unhappy. I don't keep contact with them."

The three of them sang a song, gave out red envelopes and played a game with audience respectively. It was a lively atmosphere. Kate took the led, initially she was wearing a red jacket, but when she performed Mind Reading and Kiss Me, she unzipped her jacket and revealed the sexy tube dress underneath. During the performance, she danced and twisted her body, so her tube dress started slipping, where her black bra was revealed. Luckily, her dress didn't fall off, but the audience were joyfully cheering and screaming. Kate said she had the family reunion dinner with her parents earlier on, so she can take this opportunity to make extra money over the holiday. On the 3rd day of CNY, she will start working. She expressed: "Lately, I've been busy preparing for the upcoming series (Thunderous Drug Raid). I found some 30 different types of the 'chai mui' (drinking game) online. I totally don't know how to do it, perhaps I'll have to invite a large group of friends over to teach me. I guess I'll have to pay 'tuition' for the lessons."

Ron reveals he will be flying to Canada for a stage performance on the second day of CNY and then to Shanghai for a new series. He hopes he'll be able to shoot Mainland series in the last half year to make more money. When asked if he minds collaborating with girlfriend Viann Zhang? Ron said: "My manager oversees my job arrangements. Of course, I personally don't mind. It's just work, I believe fans will understand. (Is she in HK?) I read on the papers, that she left. I'm just a star citizen, only know about the news when I read it on the newspapers. (She didn't send new year greetings to your mother?) I will not comment. It's a new year, a new start!"

Last year Moses gained both fame and profits, having a prosperous year. He's grateful of the heavens for not giving him harsh treatments and hopes the Dragon year will be even better. He exposed he already called his girlfriend Aimee Chan's parents to send new year greetings. When asked if he'll be giving out 'double' red envelopes (implies marriage) this year? Moses laughed: "Take it slowly. We just started, not rushed to get married. (Have a Dragon baby first?) One step at a time. I don't believe in the Chinese zodiac fortunes. I just hope that I will have children [one day[, this will be arranged by the heavens."

Charmaine Sheh feels pity that she was unable to make her schedule workable to fit with the shooting of TVB grand production War and Beauty 2 (WAB2). Since she decided to shoot WAB2, the public anticipated to see the original cast in the sequel, but the current situation where Bowie Lam left TVB, Gigi Lai retired from showbiz and now Charmaine's schedule conflict, it is difficult to get the original cast back. The current confirmed cast includes Sheren Tang, Ada Choi, Christine Ng, Astrid Chan and Moses Chan. Charmaine sighed: "I should have a lot of sparks with Ada (Choi), but now with the schedule conflicts, I can't shoot it, so can only give up."

Yesterday Charmaine attended producer Jonathan Chik's new series 4 In Love (Let It Be Love) promotional event. She reveals the Mainland drama Legend of Empire Yuan Founder that she is currently shooting, the progress has been delayed, so shooting is expected to complete last March, but WAB2 starts in January. There really is no other choice, but to turn down the opportunity. She said she really wanted to shoot WAB2, initially the schedule only conflicted by 2 weeks, so she thought it could accommodate, but she is helpless that ultimately she's unable to participate. She said: "I really hoped to collaborate with Ada, should have a lot of sparks, such a pity."

For the 4 In Love promotion, Charmaine still took time off her schedule to fly back and take part in the event. Over the CNY holiday, she will be spending it in Mainland because on the first and second day, she be attending a real estate event in Mainland. On the third day, she will be heading back to Hengdian to continue shooting, so she will only be able to attend this promotion.

As for Moses, he has been attending events repeatedly and going to have a fat year. Although his exact income is not known yet, it is estimated that his revenue is over 8 figures, just on advertisements. Moses said: "When I open up the magazine, after flipping through a few pages, I see myself. I feel sorry, if clients know that i have that many, they may not ask me to be in their endorsements anymore." As for his major increase in workload, Moses felt lucky. When asked if he feels his girlfriend Aimee Chan brought him lucky? He said without hiding that he gave his girlfriend flowers to express his gratefulness. He directly said his girlfriend is a good girl and would be a good marriage partner. Moses reveals over the CNY holiday, he will be going to out everywhere with Aimee to send new year greetings to his seniors, but before CNY, he was unwilling to reveal if he's attending the reunion dinner. He just laughed and said he doesn't need his girlfriend to help him clean the house because his mom has been busy with that.

In 4 In Love, Moses plays a home boy that works in an electronics stop in Mong Kok. He had many scenes in Mong Kwok, and each time many onlookers surround the location. The most memorable was a fire scene, where he had to take off his pants in public on the streets of Mong Kok. Although the main fire scene, he had a stunts double replace him, but he still had to appear in his boxers, the scene was too embarrassing. He laughed and said he didn't have any kiss scenes in the collaboration with Charmaine Sheh this time, so he can recommend his girlfriend to watch the series, no fear of jealousy.

Kevin Cheng and Myolie Wu were crowned TV King and Queen last year. Since then, their popularity has been on the rise, their workload had a major increase and they've been accepting jobs nonstop. The other day, this pair came out together doing a dragon dance downtown. During the time, the playful Kevin surrounded him and Myolie with the Dragon head, hoping for good luck and another smooth year.

As for the reveal of last year, Myolie had been quite fortunate, she said: "Because I blessed with good scripts and co-stars. Many times, good scripts and partners, we cannot choose ourselves. Just like when the series will broadcast, the genre of the series, if audience likes it or not, so we will have to put in our best effect no matter what and when there are good results, then its like a bonus. I'm very happy to have experienced a fat year (prosperous)." Myolie reveals she would help her mother make turnip cake when she was young, but this year she won't be in HK to spend the new years, so she'll take the turnip cakes with her to prevent homesickness.

Now that Myolie is the TV Queen, she frankly said there are many Mainland scripts to choose from, when asked what her next goal is, does she want to break into the Mainland market? She smiled and nodded: "Yup, but I want to balance, since if Triumph in the Skies II starts in May, then I want to take advantage of this period to go shoot Mainland series Happy Ever After (金玉滿堂) first!"

Developing well in the TV series realm, what about the music scene? Also, remember she did participate in Johnnie To's production last year and was fortunate enough to charge out of HK and step on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival, interacting with several big movie stars, so it's considered a good start for her. However, Myolie frankly said she's still new in the film scene, so she will try to immerse herself more into the field when she has time. Her next goal is to reaching for the Film Queen title. She said: "Although this is a very distant goal, but as an artist, I should have goals. Of course, I hope one day I can give people a sense of certainty! So, I will continue to work hard."

As for Kevin, he heard how ambitious Myolie was, aside from giving her encouragement, he did not forget to tease her. He joked and said at that time she will have to really look after him, making Myolie speechless and didn't know how to respond. The scene was quite funny! Last year, Kevin became popular in Mainland after his performance in Startling by Each Step and since he got the TV King award as well, he was instantly the King of Gold Digging within TVB. As for his outlook for the Dragon year, Kevin laughed: "I want to keep developing in the Mainland and HK market, also I didn't get a raise, but indeed I did get a lot more jobs, haven't stopped yet. Very happy. (How will you celebrate the new year?) Will be starting a new series in Mainland. Although I''m spending the new year at work, I'm used to it, so it's not a problem!"

On the 28th day of the Lunar calender (1/21), the Chinese tradition is to do a house sweep to welcome the new year, which has implications of out with the old and in with the new. As a pet owner, Bernice Liu is very busy, taking her two dogs to the pet beauty salon for a nice bath and dress up in hope for a prosperous upcoming Dragon year.

Bernice owns a house full of poodles, as Chinese New Year approaches each year, she must put in great effort in making her dogs look pretty. Her poodles undergoes a rather complex bath consisting of fur cutting and other beauty treatments. Bernice gives this responsibility to a pet beauty salon to help dress her dogs up. However, today she helps Latte and Kahlua brush their fur, massage and dresses them up herself.

Bernice laughed: "In the past, I personally knit my dogs winter clothing, but this year I tailored a set of Chinese-styled clothing for them. Earlier, I also made arrangements to take a set of Chinese New Year photos with my dogs to keep for memories, its so cute! The set of photos will be used for the cover of my pet book releasing after the new year."

In the previous years, Bernice spent the new year working at TVB. However, this year since she left TVB, she plans to work in Mainland and may not have the opportunity to bring her dogs along to send new year greetings. She smiled: "Among the 7 dogs I have, two of them are dog father and mother, and had a formal wedding banquet too. So, I will give out red envelopes on their behalf to my niece." With a Western girl personality, Bernice had been developing in Hong Kong for several years and have become more and more traditional. For the new year, she does all the lucky things that traditional Chinese people do on new years, except for taking a bath with pomelo leaves ('luk yau yip') and wearing a red underwear. At home she would put fresh flowers, Chinese New Year cake and a symbol of the five blessings. When speaking of her new year wish? Bernice hopes for a smooth career and good health. She expressed since she signed with a new management company, she probably would be focused more on the Mainland market in the future, so she will have to work really hard to learn Mandarin. Johnson Lee and Vincent Wong's popularity has been rising after the release of their new TVB series Wish and Switch. Especially for the lead actor, who plays a house man Johnson, as he changes his comedic Fuk Luk Sau image and attracted a lot more housewife fans. As for Vincent's wealthy playboy role has also left a deep impression on viewers. Although Johnson and Vincent accidentally become 'brother-in-laws' in the series, since their respective on-screen wives Myolie Wu and Selena Li are like sisters, but in reality these two men are good buddies. Even when getting a new car, they met up to buy a new one together. One would rather spend a million on a second-hand red Ferrari, while the other purchased a new HK$600,000 Audi A6 for the convenience of driving around his pregnant wife Yoyo Chen.

Last year, Johnson achieved a higher level in his career due to the success of Fuk Luk Sau, this year he is holding a HK Coliseum concert to make more money and recently he purchased a second-hand red Ferrari F575 to reward himself. He frankly said he spent many years saving up in order to buy this car and this will be his new year's gift. As for Vincent, who drives sport cars in the past, chose a 4-door Audi A6 instead to welcome his soon-to-born daughter.

A few days ago, Johnson and Vincent met up to buy their new cars and then did a high-profile drive through the city. Many fans spotted them and approached them to take pictures. The two did not refuse and fulfilled their requests.

Have the looks of a playboy, Johnson describes the average man loves to play with cars and watches, but when it comes to women, he does not use 'play' to describe them. He rarely mentions his other half 'eggroll' Bobo Wong. Johnson laughed: "Women are always trying to get me to play, no problem! (Bobo doesn't mind?) The people that are close with me understand. She's actually even more amazing, 90% of her friends are guys, some are tall, short, fat or thin. I learned a lot from her and I do need to learn from her. (You don't mind?) I don't mind, pretty girls usually have more guy friends. (When are you getting married?) Haven't thought about that! I enjoy my life now."

Vincent's wife, Yoyo Chen, is about to bear a Dragon daughter, getting a new car is just one of the first things to do when starting a family. In the past, Vincent often drives sport cars, but this time he changed to a 4-door car. He said for his daughter and wife, he will have to. He praised his wife has the beauty of a sports car and the 4-door car is practical: "When she attends public events, she can look very pretty, but at home she still manages to look so good, she's so attentive and cooks good food. She has no temper either!"
