Lately there have been viral rumors over TVB actress, Ali Lee (李佳芯), being frozen by the company. It’s reportedly due to her past social media posts about the current political situation in Hong Kong. Netizens accused of her of being a “Hong Kong independence” supporter based on her past activity on social media, which has resulted in a lot of mainland Chinese netizens chastising and threatening to boycott her. Ali Lee had already clarified her stance on Weibo and IG saying, “Any allegations regarding to “Hong Kong independence”, these words have never appeared in my brain or mind before. Never before and definitely not now.” There were netizens who came out to support her after she made the post.

As it seemed things settled down after Ali Lee’s clarification, there are now rumors stating TVB has temporarily taken her series with Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) and Moses Chan (陳豪), “Death By Zero” (殺手), o the schedule. On the temporary suspension of their series, Wayne Lai expresses he doesn’t know when the series will air, just that the licensing rights were sold to a Chinese streaming service and will air at the same time.

There are also rumors Ali Lee will be replaced in “Who Wants A Baby? 2” (BB來了2) and “Legal Mavericks 2” (踩過界2) with a new character and storyline. Ali Lee’s co-star in “Who Wants A Baby? 2”, Lokyi Lai (黎諾懿) expressed, “Because both series have scheduling conflicts, filming is postponed to next February.” As for whether Ali Lee’s character is being replaced, Lokyi Lai expresses he hasn’t heard about it.

On the rumors of her being frozen, Ali Lee responded to Oriental Daily News saying she heard about the schedule changes, but isn’t sure why they’re being postponed and whether there will be a change in characters. She expresses, “From what you’re saying, that means I am being frozen. But I am still filming “Amelia’s Rhapsody” (愛美麗狂想曲) right now. If I was really frozen, I wouldn’t be filming right now. I don’t think it’s the case. It can be that we filmed a series and it won’t air.” When asked if this was related to her earlier social media posts, she said, “I don’t think so because I didn’t get into any yelling matches with anyone.” Ali Lee also expressed she can’t think too much about this and will focus on work. She also says she can’t control how the company will handle it, but knows they have a plan and will respect their decisions.

TVB artist, Moon Lau (劉佩玥), was filming for variety show Liza’s Online (娛樂大家) today and was asked about her long time rumored boyfriend, Adrien Chau (周志文). The two have been rumored to be
dating for a while, but the two are always teasing the public when it comes to defining their relationship. The dating rumors reached a whole new level last year when they were suspected to be kissing while on
a boating excursion during a live stream. Moon Lau later denied it and said it was due to the angle.

Even after those rumors, Moon Lau and Adrian Chau didn’t avoid each other. Moon Lau even uploaded a video of her and Adrian Chau singing “A Whole New World” on her Youtube channel a few days ago. Many netizens seem to think this move was laying the groundwork for them to disclose their relationship.

When asked about this Moon Lau responded, “I don’t have any relationship to disclose. It’s just that I showed this clip. We filmed the video a while ago. Because I started to uploaded these clips, netizens said they want to hear me sing, so I chose this clip.” On their duet melting hearts and whether they plan
on dating, Moon Lau laughed and said, “When Bob Cheung (張彥博) and I sang previously, they also said I had hearts in my eyes. The most important thing is to have that emotion. If I were to admit to it, there is no need to lay the groundwork, just saying it will do. I read comments saying we match and were able to sing with those emotions. I am very happy.”

When asked about their chances at developing further, Moon Lau said, “I wouldn’t say there are no opportunities. He is a very good guy. Being rumored with him for so long is a happy thing because there won’t be different partners rotating to be rumored with. We’ll have to deal with it later. I am focus on work right now.”

The 37 year old mom got married in 2015 with husband, Raymond, and have two sons. In her post, she said: “We didn’t plan to have another one. Hong Kong actor, Terence Yin (尹子維), has been focusing his career in China the past few years. He was dating Chinese actress, Xu Dongdong (徐冬冬), in an on and off relationship, lasting for almost a year. The two were even engaged in April after Terence Yin hid the ring in a boiling hotpot. However, Xu Dongdong announced today they had separated in a Weibo post, saying: “We split up, but he is still my best friend. All the best.” Terence Yin responded to the post saying: “Maybe being friends right now is the best. Always support you.”

Their relationship started around November 2018 when Xu Dongdong announced she was dating, but didn’t reveal her partner. She only said her partner is someone that has “thoughts” and would also cook for her. It wasn’t until January of this year that Terence Yin admitted to being Xu Dongdong’s boyfriend. They were seen at the airport together and even let reporters take their pictures. The two worked together on the 2017 film, “Love Contractually” (合约男女). They were also caught traveling together in 2016 by Hong Kong paparazzi. However, it’s unknown if they had started dating then.

After announcing their relationship less than 4 months in, a netizen reported seeing the two of them having a fight outside a convenience store. Terence Yin was screaming while Xu Dongdong was crying, sitting by a flower bed. It’s reported Terence Yin ignored her. In the end, Xu Dongdong was said to have left by herself.

All seemed fine as they attended a function together in July. Xu Dongdong even praised Terence Yin, saying, “He is truly a kind person to the bone. He is not someone who just pretends to be kind. His kindness isn’t just temporary. The longer I get to know him, the more I get to feel [his kindness].” What’s odder is the picture Xu Dongdong uploaded with the break up post was from a blessing ceremony on August 9 for a new film they are working on. It’ll be awkward if the two are portraying a couple.

The 2012 Miss Hong Kong Second Runner Up, Tracy Chu (朱千雪), announced last month, she was getting married to her childhood sweetheart and doctor boyfriend, Justin (吳昆倫), of five years. Earlier this month, Tracy Chu and Justin tied the knot in Bali. She had six bridesmaids: Jennifer Shum (岑杏賢), Sandy Lau (劉倩婷), Kayi Cheung (張嘉兒), Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯), Crystal Li (李雪瑩), and Angel Chiang (蔣家旻). The couple got married at a glass church with 80 of their family and friends present. Jennifer Shum was the lucky one who caught the bouquet.

Angel Chiang spoke to the media about the wedding. She said, “Tracy didn’t cry at first. When she saw us, she was so touched, she looked like she wanted to cry. This is the first time I’ve seen her like this. Her husband didn’t cry either. All of us are happy for them. When Tracy’s dad accompanied her to the church, plus the music, I couldn’t hold it in and started crying. All of us girls were pretty emotional, but calmed down immediately.” As for Roxanne Tong, she said, “Watching them proceed with the ceremony and recite their vows, plus the venue and everything else, I felt like it was a fairy tale.” Kayi Cheung also wished them a happy marriage.

During the banquet at night, Tracy Chu thanked their friends and family from the US, Canada, Singapore, and Hong Kong for attending their wedding. She also thanked both sides’ parents, especially the two mothers for keeping in contact after giving birth. They would hold a birthday party for a few of the babies who were also born with them, allowing the two of them to stay in contact all these years and become friends. Justin’s mother also concocted a special tea leaf flavor as party favors for their guests.

It was earlier reported Justin was working in Singapore and there were reports that Tracy Chu would be moving there after the wedding. However, they’ve said they will make arrangements after finishing up their work and studies. Justin will be returning to Singapore first, while Tracy Chu will be focusing on the last year of law school.

Tracy Chu was also seen at Happy Valley today. It’s reported the couple are having another banquet at a private member’s club primarily for Justin’s side of the family.

Rising TVB actor, Owen Cheung (張振朗), is being heavily promoted by TVB. He starred in several series that were scheduled to air this year. There were two series, “The Offliners” (堅離地愛堅離地) and “Finding Her Voice” (牛下女高音), where Owen Cheung was the male lead and also starred Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎). Due to the “OnSum Cheating” scandal, both series were taken off the schedule and probably won’t air. He also had a third series, “Airport Security Unit” (機場特警), that was also taken off the schedule due to the recent political events in Hong Kong.

Owen Cheung was on a radio show “Circles” (1圈圈 星光背後) recently and was asked about the two series being taken off the schedule due to Jacqueline Wong’s scandal. He expressed, “The initial reaction was very unhappy, but I very quickly released the tension. I never harbored any blame towards Jacqueline Wong because we have always been friends. So saying I cursed at the studio at that time, but we had already finished filming at the studio already. We went to film on location already and I’ve never did anything like that.”

Since entering the business, Owen Cheung has been rumored with plenty of actresses, including Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), Jeannie CHan (陳瀅), and Apple Chan (陳芷尤). However, Owen Cheung clarified he had only dated one person from the industry. His ex-girlfriend is fellow TVB actress, Apple Chan. The two announced their break up in April. They first started dating secretly, making everyone think they were only dating for three years. However, Owen Cheung clarified they actually dated for five years. He explained the reason for the break up, “Maybe everyone’s goals changed. She went to develop her career in Singapore and I am in Hong Kong. Maybe our targets changed, so that’s why we broke up.”

He only started dating his current girlfriend, ViuTV actress, Renci Yeung (楊思泳), a year after breaking up with Apple Chan. Owen Cheung mentioned it took him almost a year to heal his wounds. He was very unhappy and hurt after the break up. When asked how he met Renci Yeung, he said, “Friends gathering, we met and talked for a bit and that’s how we got to know each other.”

When the radio host, Terry Leung (梁泰來), mentioned Owen Cheung is always dating girls with nice bodies, he laughed and said, “It’s just a coincidence. It’s just based on what’s pleasant to the eye. I like [girls] with big eyes, pointy face, cute, and petite.” Aside from appearances, Owen Cheung also admires Renci Yeung’s character. He explains, “Considerate and her character is pretty good. I love my family very much. She treats my family pretty well. I admire her for this. She also likes to act and we discuss about it happily. Being an actor is tough so having a partner by your side to let everything out is already good enough.” When asked if she is a stable partner, Owen Cheung said, “It’s hard to say about long term, but at this very moment, I am pretty happy.”

Chinese actor, William Feng Shaofeng (冯绍峰), hasn’t been in the news ever since wife and actress, Zanilia Zhao Liying, gave birth to their son in March. Zanilia Zhao Liying (赵丽颖) is set to make her comeback later this month. However, William Feng Shaofeng was suddenly accused of having extramarital affairs. A female netizen had uploaded a series of texts that alleges William Feng Shaofeng had trysts with her and other women while he had a break from filming.

A series of text messages between the female and her friend talking about someone suspected to be William Feng Shaofeng have been going viral. This female explains to her friend: “He said to me he is a person who especially likes freedom. He said it was difficult for him after getting married. He didn’t feel free. Once I think about him meeting with other girls in Beijing, I get irritated.”

While the text messages don’t explicitly mention any names, there were two that hinted at William Feng Shaofeng and Zanilia Zhao Liying: “fsf gave me a really expensive present. What should I give back to him?” “Is Zhao Liying (赵丽音) coming to Chengdu?” In the second text message, the friend used “Yin” (音) that sounds like Zhao Liying’s middle name, “Ying” (颖).

The person who uploaded the text messages deleted them later on, but also explained “fsf” meant “courier services” (发顺丰). Netizens got even more suspicious at her explanation. One netizen said, “I believe in this rumor. Feng Shaofeng has always been a player. He didn’t look like he really wanted to get married. Why wouldn’t Zhao Liying admit she was pregnant? Maybe she was giving herself a back up plan because she wasn’t sure they weren’t getting married. If they didn’t end up getting married, she could abort it and act like nothing ever happened?”
