Yesterday the Taiwanese media reported 35 year old Gigi Leung will be holding her wedding on October 3rd at the small island of Eivissa (Ibiza) in Spain. Gigi’s wedding is very low-profile, as she only invited a small group of close friends from the industry including best friends Charlie Yeung, Angelica Lee and Valen Hsu. According to the reports, Gigi’s other half is a Spanish man and she met him by chance while she was on her Spain trip earlier this year in March. When she got back to HK, she announced her break up with U.S diplomat boyfriend (Matthew). Gigi hasn’t been updating her Weibo in the last several days. On the 27th, she made a small update: “I’m sitting on the plane again, one flight to soar out to the sky!” It is hard to believe that she wasn’t heading to Spain to prepare for her marriage with her Spanish boyfriend.

Reporters contacted Gigi and her manager to confirm. Gigi replied through SMS confirming her marriage. She revealed in a short message that she will soon be a bride and that she’s marrying her Spanish boyfriend. She sweetly praised her fiance: “He is wonderful. (Do we have to congratulate you?) I already received a lot of congrats! Thanks very much! I am doing very well, very happy! Thank you all for the blessings!” When asked about the details on her boyfriend and the wedding, Gigi kept replying with: “I am very happy”, “I am doing well” and “Thank you”. As for her manager (Miss Wong), she declined to comment: “Thank you all for the concern. Gigi is not in HK, wait until she comes back to respond to you all! Thanks!” Gigi’s had a rough journey in her love life, but today she finally found a good partner. It was rumored before that she was very strong when it comes to her love life. This time, Gigi chose to marry the day before ex-boyfriend Ekin Cheng’s birthday (Oct 4th).
