Kelly Chen, her husband Alex, and son Chace took the opportunity to spend quality time with family during the CNY holiday. Kelly took her son to visit both sets of grandparents and received a lot of red envelope money for him. “I will save up the money for him and once he is older, then I will return it to him. On preliminary count, the red envelope money he got is close to 5 figures!” In terms of the red envelopes that she has been giving out to relatives and co-workers, Kelly has been extremely generous, with the amount close to 6 figures: “The most important thing during the New Year holiday is for everyone to be happy. I realize also how important it is to be healthy, especially with my son – whenever he has a fever or even a minor cold, I get very worried.”
With the release of her new Mandarin album in March, Kelly indicated that she would take the opportunity to meet up with her fans in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China: “I want to be one of those working women who view family and career as equally important.” As for when she is planning on having another child, Kelly responded that since Chace is only 7 months old, there’s no rush right now, so she’ll see how things turn out.
