A case of burglary happened in Elaine Ng's (吳綺莉) house last month and she lodged a police report. However, it turned out that her daughter, Etta Ng (吳卓林) returned to their house to retrieve her belongings with her friend and their mother and daughter relationship turned to ice again. Elaine admits to not seeing Etta for several months during an interview but they did celebrate 18 year old Etta's birthday together a few days ago.

Five days ago on Facebook, Elaine shares a short conversation with Etta who speaks in English that she is busy lately and Elaine can retrieve her things on next Wednesday. She also promises to maintain contact with her mother.

Elaine posts a message: "Thank you to god for giving me this experience when I discover my things are stolen by my family member and their friends one day. It makes my determination stronger and living with gratefulness every day. Improvement."

A burglary happens in Elaine Ng's (吳綺莉) home in Happy Valley, Hong Kong a few days ago and she lodges a police report and suffers around $170,000 worth of assets. However, Elaine's daughter, Etta Ng (吳卓林) and her female friend, Andi appeared yesterday and admitted to returning home to retrieve the guitars. She also texted Elaine subsequently and Elaine only kept replying sorry towards the reporters' questions.

Four days ago at around 2pm, Elaine leaves her home in Happy Valley and drives to the bank. She stays in the bank for 5 minutes and goes home after that. Asking if she contacts Etta, Elaine says: "Please stop asking and I will not answer. Sorry!" She urges the reporters to stop following her.

Four days ago on Facebook, Elaine leaves a message: "Believing god is not to rely but to beg him for giving you stuff. Who has no mistakes? Learning daily and grateful to everyday!"

19th November is the birthday of Elaine Ng's (吳綺莉) daughter, Etta (卓林) and she is living together with her female friend, Andi. It becomes the talk of the town in addition with the stop of her studies and working in the society. Etta has not updated on Instagram for the past 10 days and shared photo of her new silver colour hairstyle, and many netizens praise she looks smart. As for Elaine, she has been posting golden sentences, her lifestyle, hiking with her friend and playing with her cat on Facebook. Recently, Elaine also uploads old photos from joining showbiz to childhood. Etta has always been pointed to resemble Jackie Chan (成龍) and Elaine shows photos of Elaine and herself at 3 years old and they do really resemble each other.

17 years old Etta Ng (吳卓林) admits to live together with her 30 years old Andi after moving out from her mother's Elaine Ng's (吳綺莉) house. Etta Ng confesses she is a gay online a few days ago and it is unsure if Elaine is greatly affected by it as she wears a mask outside on 06 October.

Elaine and her maid returned to her home last afternoon. She expresses she remains in contact with Etta and when asked if she was aware of her confession in advance, Elaine says: "She does not need to tell me and explain everything to me. 17 years old Etta Ng (吳卓林) confesses her love for her female friend, Andi online on 05 October and admits she is a gay subsequently. Elaine Ng (吳綺莉) says when the reporters contact her: "Let's say it this way. How should I react if my daughter comes over to me with a baby suddenly? Should I congratulate her? She is 17 years old only and needs to experience some obstacles by herself. Most importantly, she can support herself and others." It seems that Etta is unemployed now and needs to pay for other expenses. Asking if she continues to give pocket money to Etta, Elaine admits it and they remain keeping in contact but has no idea about confessing her sexual orientation.

Elaine Ng (吳綺莉) attended Cheng Ming Ming's (鄭明明) 46th wedding anniversary party and expressed her daughter, Etta Ng was currently in the hospital and believed she will be discharged soon. When asked if she lost weight and shared photo of the cat due to missing Etta on Facebook, Elaine said: "Not me but the cat."

When asked if Etta shouted upon visiting her at the hospital and alarmed the staff eventually, Elaine said: "Sometimes the daughter talks loudly to the mother and vice-versa. (Has her attitude softens or remains the same?) It cannot be resolve within a day or happen a day. We did discuss and need to increase our understanding and learn especially an adult. (Is Etta seeing the doctor about mental disorder?) Anyway, she is good and safe in the hospital."

Elaine Ng (吳綺莉) is currently on suspicion for threatening and leaves her apartment to Causeway Bay at 1.45pm on 25 March. She emphasises that the problem between herself and her daughter, Etta Ng (吳卓林) is still not resolved yet. When asked if Etta will move out once 18 years old, Elaine said: "No need to worry and everyone has to go through this stage. We are still learning."

Raising the issue that she suspected Etta ate sedative during an interview with a magazine, Elaine's face darkened and replied it was handed to the lawyer now. She said: "I need to eat sedative too. We will try to compromise and solve it and it is a good lesson this time. I know I have bad temper and low EQ and must try to increase my EQ." When Mary Jean Reimer (翁靜晶) suggested to send Etta to boarding school in Singapore, Elaine responded she had not discussed with Etta and avoiding it did not solve the problem at all.

When asked recently if she would like to meet her father, Etta stood next to Elaine, looking embarrassed and said, “I can’t reply.”

Elaine immediately replied, “I am rushing to work. Can’t you see I have so many people to feed.”

Jackie has also recently spoke about his love child and expressed his guilt towards her. The 61-year-old star said that he would “let nature take its course” about acknowledging his daughter.

Jackie said, “If we happen to meet, so be it. I’m very easy-going.”

Etta Ng has sought help from school again after a heated argument with her mother, Elaine Ng. Elaine was also informed by the school that Etta had refused to go home.

Last night, Elaine went down to the school and hoped to see Etta. However, the school refused to let her meet Etta and instead arranged a social worker to talk to her.

Elaine was very emotional and recounted her quarrel with her daughter. “My daughter told me that she wanted to drink beer. I told her that I also needed red wine to help me sleep better, so I let her drink some.”

“When I asked her if she had done her homework as she had not returned to school for a long time. She said that the teacher told her not to worry and said that her classmates all drank beer. I was not happy so I chided her. She went school today and confided to her teacher. Now, she said she is not coming home.”

Elaine also blasted the school for not helping her.

She said angrily, “I am a single mum. I need to work to earn money. I am under a lot of stress already. The school should try to help me and shouldn’t they be discussing with me instead? I have been trying to reason with the teachers that my daughter should return home. I am her mother. The teachers had all left after I came here. So, where is my daughter?”

Elaine also later told by the principal that Etta had been arranged to stay elsewhere temporarily.

She then closed the door immediately and the reporters discovered a male friend entered into the apartment. Around 10pm (07 April), Elaine and her male friend boarded the vehicle and left. It was seen that their vehicle accidentally bumped into a van which was parked at the carpark and the driver replied that Elaine was his friend and will not pursue responsibility.

Elaine Ng (吳綺莉) accepted an interview and when asked about the rumours of her daughter, Etta Ng (吳卓林), pointed that she was a heavy drinker and used drinking to resolve problems, Elaine said: "Drinking makes one uncomfortable and it is normal to puke thereafter. Perhaps she is unsure about the reason. (Did Etta persuade you not to drink?) Nope, she did not tell me personally. I am surprised we went to police station instead."

When asked if she felt guilty towards Etta, Elaine said: "Everyone has problems. As a public figure, I will not let other people to suffer. I did something and told her: 'You do not need to worry no matter what happen and when mummy is not beside you. I will help you to arrange everything.' Perhaps my words make her worried and lack of security. She is unlike me whom can accept everything." Elaine added that she was considered a religious person and said: "The reporters did ask me about the upbringing of my daughter. I feel I learn something from the religion and try to treat her better."
