According to exclusive news received by Oriental Daily News, it is reported former TVB actress, Fala Chen (陳法拉), is getting married on May 11th in France, to her French boyfriend, Emmanuel Straschnov, after dating for three years. It is said the wedding will be at a romantic manor in France and only nearest and dearest are invited. The 37 year old actress was previously married in 2013 to Neway heir, Daniel Suek (薛世恒), who is often mistaken for TVB actor, Benjamin Yuen.

Fala Chen took a big risk when she left TVB and her career in Hong Kong in 2014 and went to Juilliard in New York to study acting for four years. Her gamble paid off because she is currently filming an upcoming HBO series , “The Undoing,” with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant. In 2016, she met Emmanuel in New York and was said to be love at first sight. Their relationship wasn’t revealed to the public until half a year later. Fala Chen had once said Emmanuel was charming and that their personalities meshed well together. While she might be career oriented, Fala Chen had once mentioned she loves children and has plans to have kids.

As for Emmanuel, he is currently the founder and CEO of a platform called “Bubble.” He has a MBA from Harvard Business School. After graduating, he once worked at the French Consulate in Japan. In 2007, he once worked as a consultant at a company in Shanghai for three years. He later worked in the US as an executive assistant. He has once said he has a deep affinity with Asia because his father was an exchange student in Taiwan during the 70’s. His parents later met each other in Beijing and fell in love.

Fala Chen (陳法拉) is currently pursuing her studies in New York and performing stage play on Day 1 of Lunar New Year. She distributes "benefits" to her classmates and let them experience the Chinese culture today.

It turns out that Fala will complete her studies this year and she says: "My classmates are younger than me and I give them red packets. Fala expresses yoga helps in relaxation and some moves are specially designed for cancer survivors: "The risk of breast cancer is always around and my mother and granny have such problems. Fortunately, my mother discovers it early but it is too late for my granny." She adds that her granny is tortured by the cancer but continues to face it positively and insist in going to the hospital alone so as not to disturb the family. Hence, her granny is a brave warrior in her heart and Fala urges every ladies should go for breast check-up at a certain time.

Fala Chen (陳法拉) attends lipstick event by Givenchy on 08 August and returns to New York immediately after that in order to pursue the remaining 1 year course. Mentioning about his old love, Daniel Sit (薛世恒) joining the showbiz, Fala replies she has read the news, keeps in contact all along and respects his decision. (Feels Daniel joins in late?) Fala says: "The make-up skills in opera and it needs net towel, grease, eyebrow, eyeliner, print the face, hair wig and others are skills."

Fala Chen (陳法拉) returns to Hong Kong to film magazine cover and voice dubbing for animation film for 4 days from US. She is pursuing master's degree in acting for 4 years in New York and has been enjoying a simple and happy as a student for 3 years. As she will complete her studies next year and has receives job invitations, Fala says: "I have no idea if I can graduate by then. I have no work plan yet but will definitely continuing my acting career."

Fala discloses that her studies in New York makes her changes her life perspectives and realises many things are expensive upon returning to Hong Kong. Some people find it normal to buy a vacuum flask at $200 or a top at $2000 but Fala has not spend more than US$100 on a top in US.

Asking about the development with her foreign boyfriend, Fala replies they are at understanding stage now and sharing their lives details. He works in another industry and she hopes to set up a family in the future.

Fala Chen (陳法拉) specially returns from New York to Hong Kong during Easter holidays to film advertisement for Elyze. She wears a tight fit outfit showing her tiny waist and long legs and it earns envy from everyone.

In order to achieve perfection and without any belly, Fala rejects all snacks and does stretching for 2 hours so as to make a ballet pose.

Another unforgettable memory is Fala keeps falling down from the sofa as too slippery and she realises it can be a disadvantage.

Female goddess, Fala Chen (陳法拉) completed filming the stage play with Dayo Wong (黃子華) in August and resumed her studies thereafter. On Instagram, she shared her selfie with white hair, tired looking eyes, dry lips, haggard looks and dark circles. It turns out that Fala was applying make-up to make herself look old for stage play and the effects is very realistic. She left a message: "The magic of makeup! Fala Chen (陳法拉) and Dayo Wong (黃子華) completed 35 rounds of the stage play, Skylight (前度) successfully and the production and cast teams went for supper in Causeway Bay at night. Fala expressed she will stay in Hong Kong for a week to film advertisement and return to US to complete her course for 2 years thereafter. When asked if she could not bear to, Fala said: "Yes. I will be returning during Christmas as need to earn a living but 2 years pass quickly. (TVB approach you to film series?) They seem to contact my manager but I cannot accept long filming job. Asking the types of area to work with Dayo again, Fala said: "We filmed movie together before and hope to work together again. (Any sequel to the stage play?) Nope. I have a tight schedule this time." Dayo explained there was no world tour performance due to their hectic work schedules.

It turned out on 13 May was Fala's last day of her second year course and she needed to tidy up the make-up room before moving to another room. Fala disclosed her schedule was very fulfilling: "I have been filming wet scenes for past two days and it is a happy experience as the weather is more warm and the crew team is very thoughtful." She added there was many physical training during the class and became very fit as a result.

Before taking the flight, Fala was invited to the fashion show by the brand: "I admire the confidence given to the woman to wear suit by Mr Armani and I wear the classic black and white colour long dress which is matched by the designer from Italy. I love to wear flat heels and have been wearing this look for many years. I am a very sentimental person, haha!"

Fala Chen(陳法拉)'s ex-husband Daniel Sit(薛世恒) has been involved in various romance rumors in recent days. He was seen having dinner dates with Cathy Leung(梁雨恩) and Yu Chiu(趙頌茹) on separate occasions. During an interview at the "Juicy Couture 2015 Autumn Winter Collection VIP Party", Fala openly wished ex-husband on finding new love soon: "People need to look forward to the future instead of the past. We are both still friends. We still have contact with each other. I hope he can be happy."

Fala is currently living in the US taking acting classes. However, she would still return to China to film commercials every once in a while. When asked if she has been paying attention to her ex's love life, she said: "I do pay attention. I hope he can be happy. He's a good man. I hope he can find a good girl soon."

Regarding the rumors that a lot of actresses are leaving TVB, Fala admitted that she was invited by TVB to film dramas but her schedule didn't match. When asked if she will accept TVB's offer if there's a good drama, she said: "Probably not in the near future."

Artiste Fala Chen(陳法拉) attended her makeup artist friend Annie G. Chan's press conference for her new book. Fala hasn't been in Hong Kong in a while and expressed she purposely went to visit her parents in America: "I went to see them for a few months. My parents are starting to grow old so I want to spend as much time with them as possible. When asked when Fala will officially get back to work, she said she has always been working but not just in Hong Kong and also signed up to take acting classes: "I am starring in the movie "Secret Treasure(神秘寶藏)" and it will be out soon. I haven't seen it yet but it is said to be beautiful because of the visual effects." When asked if she wants to become makeup artist, Fala said: "Nah, I am not good enough. I am just playing around. I often share new makeup products with Annie."

Parents Not Rushing Her To Date
Regarding Annie Liu(劉心悠) revealed she wants to take a vacation, Fala said she's workaholic: "Annie is hardworking and she's also the CEO. I told her to go take some classes and do some traveling. She wanted to but she never had the time. Being able to travel like me is actually a good thing. (Any new development in your love life?) I am still single. Do you know anyone you want to introduce to me? (Your parents aren't rushing you to date?) Nah, I am a big girl now. It all depends on fate."

Fala Chen (陳法拉) attended an event and revealed she and her old love, Daniel Sit (薛世恒) occasionally kept in contact by SMS. She said: "Sometimes, he will ask about things related to cats and send me regards. I send regards to him too."

Though it has been more than a year since her breakup with long-time boyfriend and Neway heir, Daniel Sit, actress Fala Chen revealed that she is taking things slowly when it comes to relationship.

According to an interview with On CC News, the actress, who will be seen next in Ronald Cheng's epic film "Mysterious Treasure", said that she cherishes compatibility rather than a certain quality.

"You can't refer to certain qualities you want to select your partner. I'd rather follow my heart and see whether we're compatible or not," said the actress.

She added that though love always feels great in the beginning, feelings can change and that the true test of relationship is the willingness to adapt.

"When the initial spark is gone and you start making conditions, mutual tolerance is needed all the way," Fala said.

However, having said that, Fala admitted that she still dreams of one day becoming a mother and having children.

"I grew up in a happy family and saw how my parents love each other very much. I also love children," said Fala, who added that she is willing to put her career on hold to become a full-time mother.

Meanwhile, the actress said that she is currently busy filming her movie, as well as making public appearances for major brands.

Fala Chen (陳法拉) attended an event and when mentioned about Sire Ma (馬賽) leaked out of erotic dancing video, Fala felt that that was Sire Ma's private affair and unnecessary to watch it again, and should give Sire Ma some time and space to recover.

With regards to Sire Ma suspension from her work, Fala said: "My impression of her is very well-behaved, very motivated and hardworking artiste...groom....an artiste needs lots of time and experience. I hope she will film another series."
