Kiki Sheung (商天娥) attended an event alone on 27 December and when asked if she will be filming series again, she replied she had left TVB for 2 years and was uncertain if anyone remembered her performance. Kiki disclosed they had been approaching her all along but no script and role met her expectations yet: "Any role does not matter as long as not making trouble. I belong to positive role." Mentioning about Evergreen Mak (麥長青) left TVB as he felt disappointed in them, Kiki responded she had no idea and assumed he was joking about his disappointment in TVB.

Eddie Cheung and Kiki Sheung were rumored on bad terms earlier. Yesterday the two attended the high rating celebration for TVB sitcom Til Love Do Us Lie (TLDUL) with the other cast such as Joyce Tang and Hanjin Tan. At the celebration, Eddie and Kiki proved the rumors false through action, by embracing each other and raising their champagne glasses towards one another. The cast and crew celebrated the high rating peak of 34 points (average 30 points). According to the news, the sitcom is set for 120 episodes and shooting will complete in March. For now, there are no plans to add more episodes.
Eddie was very pleased with the high 34 point peak rating and modestly expressed the success is all due to team work. Eddie has not received news on adding more episodes to TLDUL, but right now he's discussing plans for a new film and may not have time on his schedule to continue shooting in March. Eddie said with a smile he is staying in HK to shoot the sitcom, so it's difficult to avoid separation with his family. Additionally, he is currently very busy with the shoot as he has to work 7 days a week, fortunately his family hasn't complained.
Kiki's contract with TVB expires in September, and she is still considering if she should renew or not because she wants to spend more time with her husband and to rest. She doesn't really want to sign and be stuck with one company. Kiki expressed she is currently declining to any new series, but if TLDUL gets more episodes, she will consider.
Joyce was initially worried the holiday season will drag the ratings down, but fortunately the sitcom was a success despite the holidays. Aside from being happy and surprised, she also hopes TLDUL will get more episodes. Hanjin Tan will be holding a concert after this, and earlier he had already gave out tickets to the cast and crew, but everyone declined to accept his tickets. It was because everyone wanted to purchase the tickets with their own money to show their support for him.
Kiki Sheung and Eddie Cheung are currently shooting for TVB sitcom Til Love Do Us Lie. It was said because Kiki was an hour late to rehearsal, Eddie was upset and asked producer Kwan Wing Chung to settle the issue down at the studio. Even Suet Nei, who plays Kiki's mother in the sitcom, wanted the producer to change the script and kill off her character, so she doesn't have to work with Kiki anymore.
Yesterday Kiki, Eddie and Angela Tong were doing outdoor shooting in Tsuen Wan. The two agreed to take a group photo upon the media's request. Kiki explained her lateness was purely a misunderstanding. That day, she went to pick up the prize money check she won at the TVB Anniversary during her lunch hour at the TVB canteen and then went to discuss the script with the editor. Later, the assistant director called her and she immediately rushed over to the studio. She said: "When I got to the studio, I didn't know what happened. I was half an hour late. First I was waiting for the coffee, then I waited for the check. In fact, it's just a small misunderstanding. The producer came down to ask who was being late, I told him it was me and I was sorry." Kiki sighed and said each day she shoots 24 scenes and no one praises her, but a small misunderstanding can turn into a big scandal.
Kiki continued: "Before, I drive my husband to work every morning, so I may be a little late, but I told the producer already that I'm not driving him (her husband) anymore, in the future I will not be a minute late. I will arrive at the studio on time. (Will your husband be upset?) My husband told me not to do it. He asked me if this led to some jealousy? Is it because there is some success in the series that people need to talk about some negative news?" She said she won't be continuing her contract with TVB, and will be a freelance artist again. Asked if she's feeling disheartened? She said: "I'm tired! So why not just go traveling with my husband, go out and play a little!" Asked if she will change her straightforward personality? She said: "No, I am an open person. I won't take anything to heart, at least I'm a true person! Whatever it is, I will face with frankness."
Eddie was asked if he has been having an unpleasant collaboration with Kiki? He said: "We have a good collaboration. (Are you upset that she's late?) When did I get upset? We, artists, have always place heavy emphasis on being punctual. I hope everyone will think the same way. There has been times where I've waited for a long time in the studio, didn't know what I was waiting for. Since we started in September, I have already raised my objections! However, this is something that I shouldn't be managing, the producer has that authority. I am just here to shoot a good series!" Asked if he'll consider bringing this issue up to the higher levels? He said frankly: "Yes, I just want to help the director get their time back, so they can finish up the shoot!"
Kiki Sheung is known to have a hot temper. Over the many years she's been shooting TVB series, she has gotten into arguments with several artists. Following being on bad terms with Rosy Business cast members Sheren Tang, Kara Hui, Susan Tse and Ngok Wah, when she was shooting Sisters of Pearl, she didn't get along with Jessica Hsuan or Bowie Lam either.
Recently, Kiki has been collaborating with Eddie Cheung in new sitcom Til Love Do Us Lie, who has not been in a TVB production for over 10 years. The two plays a married couple in the sitcom, but it was rumored Kiki often acts like a 'Black Swan' on the set. On cameras, the 'couple' may look very loving, but behind the cameras, they do not get along. Aside from Kiki's hot temper that leads to nobody wanting to eat with her on the same table, she is often late to work too. The other day, Eddie, Kenny Wong, Charmaine Li and a large group of artists were rehearsing the scenes for a whole hour and Kiki was still no where to be seen. This angered the short temper Eddie, who couldn't tolerate Kiki's lateness and went up front to tell producer Kwan Wing Chung about it. Producer Kwan visited them in the studio to get a better understanding of the situation and asked them who is the culprit of tardiness. Just rushing into the studio, Kiki voluntarily called out: "It's me!" The other angered staff, but does not dare to speak up, all cheered and applauded in support of Eddie.
As for Suet Nei, who plays Kiki's mother in the sitcom, has been in showbiz for many many years, also felt disrespected. It was said because she couldn't tolerate the difficult 'Black Swan', she asked the producer to kill off her character: "Producer, why not just kill off my character and leave it at that!" Looks like, the two are already completely incompatible.
Eddie and Kiki are on bad terms, but yesterday they attended Til Love Do Us Lie promotional event as usual with the other cast including Angela Tong, Joyce Tang and Hanjin Tan. During the time, the two obviously had issues. As the lead actor, Eddie rather step aside during the large group photo. The other cast had to pull him back into position next to Kiki, but he completely lacked a smile. He continued to maintain his distance with Kiki and didn't interact with her. Even during the games, the two still had zero interaction despite being on the same team. It was only until Kiki helped Eddie wipe off the flour off his nose that the atmosphere began to change.
Reporters asked Eddie for the details of the situation, he said over the phone describing Kiki's personality is very 'straight'. He stressed several times the importance of being punctual: "I am fine, just hope things goes smoothly from now on. Artists being late should be handled by the executives. If I care too much, that will be beyond my authority! I did talk to the producer about it, hope everyone can be punctual." Kiki also responded over the phone and denied she was late: "Today is winter solstice, let's not start these rumors. We get along very harmoniously, even if there is something, it's a misunderstanding."
As for Suet Nei, who was rumored to have asked the producer to kill her character off, heard of Kiki's new nickname as the 'Black Swan': "I heard from the people who collaborated with her that she's only okay. Speaking under my conscience, she and I collaborating in Til Love Do Us Lie is going pretty okay. When speaking of being late to the rehearsals, I was not present. I just heard what happened after the fact, but no one has clearly told me what was really happening! (It was rumored you wanted to 'die'?) No, I didn't say anything!" However, Suet Nei does admit Kiki really has a character: "In the sitcom, I'm her mom, there won't be too much of a conflict. When she's not in a good mood, she'll just talk less. As an artist, each one of us has our own characters."
Following TVB sitcom Be Home For Dinner, TVB producer Kwan Wing Chung will be starting a new sitcom in October entitled Marriage . Separation @ Formula of Lies. This time the sitcom is not set in the office like the previous ones were, but instead focuses on family warmth and current events. For a refreshing feeling, besides casting new faces like Hanjin Tan and Lin Xiawei (Raymond Lam's cousin), TVB especially invited Eddie Cheung, who has not been in a TVB series for several years, back to take on the leading role. He'll be playing husband and wife with Kiki Sheung. As for Joyce Tang, she'll be paired with Hanjin Tan. It was understood that because Hanjin's Cantonese isn't too great, Producer Kwan especially tailored a character who came from Singapore for him. His lines will often have English mixed into it.
Former model Lin Xiawei just signed a TVB contract and will be participating in the sitcom, making it her first series. The producer said frankly Lin Xiawei is very nervous, so he is currently looking for an experienced actor to pair with her and also for the convenience of bringing her into character. As for Lin Xiawei, she accepted an interview over the phone, and revealed that she plays an artist. Producer Kwan also made arrangements for her to learn ceramics: "Before in Mainland, I filmed 2-3 series, but this is my first modern series, really feel pressured. I'm going to do all my homework for my first performance in this series, hope to try out everything."
48 year old Kiki Sheung and her husband Patrick Lee Wai Sing held their wedding banquet yesterday. Patrick threw in a million dollars to host the 43 table banquet at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Wai Chai. Same year TVB training class students as Kiki including Carina Lau, Sandra Ng, Sean Lau and his wife Amy Kwok and Margie Tsang attended. There were also Liza Wang and husband Law Kar Ying, Eric Tsang, Ron Ng, Kevin Cheng, Raymond Cho, Roger Kwok and his wife Cindy Au that appeared as well, the wedding banquet was filled with stars!
The bride Kiki wore a pair of Long Fung bracelets worth 6 figures accompanied with diamonds, pearl necklace, earrings and her engagement ring. Her accessories were worth a total of 7 figures. Kiki reveals that her husband designed a watch for her as a gift, she just didn't wear it today. As for Kiki's engagement ring was on her right hand, and that her left hand was reserved to put on her wedding ring.
Successfully losing 25 pounds, Kiki revealed her chest yesterday. Patrick gave a kiss on her cheek, making the scene very warm and romantic. This morning, the groom picked up his bride and then went to take photos in the afternoon and finally held the cake-cutting ceremony in the evening. Kiki expressed lovingly that she was so moved during the bride pickup part that she wanted to cry because in addition to saying "I Love You", her husband also sang Leon Lai's Love Is More Important Than Me live at the scene. Kiki said: "Three years ago, when I heard this song I was so touched I cried, today I put on water-resistant make up just in case."
The newly wedded couple held a marriage ceremony during the banquet last night. Carina Lau arrived early, she wore a black tube dress and looked very pretty. Carina and the rest of the 'sisters group' from the same year TVB training class were all mostly "Wai Siu Bo" wives in Duke of Mount Deer back in the day. Carina was asked if it's a "Siu Bo Wives" reunion? She said: "Really? I thought it was more of a TVB training class reunion. (Where is Siu Bo 'referring to Tony Leung'?) He's filming now. (What kind of gift did you give?) Secret. The most important is to send our blessings. I am very happy for her. (Will you rush them to have a baby?) Anything works, hope all their wishes come true."
Tony's ex-lover Margie Tsang and Carina arrived at the banquet one after the other. Although they avoided arriving at the banquet together and cause awkwardness, they were still arranged to sit together. Margie learned that Carina already arrived, she said: "Really? (Sitting together?) Yeah, we are classmates. (Haven't seen her for long time?) Yeah, before we would have dinner sometimes, but now got a little busier!" Arriving with Margie was Sandra Ng, she wore an open chest dress and had both of her hands flinging (no gift), Sandra said: "Money gift is the most stabled gift. (You all "Wai Siu Bo" wives are fighting for to be the prettiest?) It is Kiki's wedding, should respect them. (Did Kiki have a crush on anyone in the past?) No, back then in the training class, we were best friends with Sean Lau and Michael Tao!"
Kiki Sheung, Jade Kwan, Roy Chow, Ada Choi and Christine Kuo attended the "2010 Red, black Evangelism Emperor" at the Hong Kong Coliseum last night. Kiki is getting married in October, but she told the audience she nearly called off the wedding. A picture of Kiki's wedding picture was on display at the event. Kiki told the audience that she has lost 9 pound, she went on to say "Over a week ago, we haven't done our wedding photo, I had a big row with my husband. This was the biggest row we had since we met 5 years ago. I was crying and kept shouting 'I am not getting married'. I kept crying and kept praying until he said "sorry". (Why did you row with him?) It was a minor thing, the pot got moulded, but he has never raised his voice at me before." Kiki is 47 years old, she said if she was 5 years younger, she would consider having a baby. Kiki added "Although my husband loves children, if I, as an old age mother gets pregnant, I would be out of shape. We just have to let it be."
Last year, when Jessica Hsuan and Kiki Sheung Tin Gnor were filming Sisters of Pearl, rumors circulated that they got into disagreements. Although both actresses have denied this, Jessica and Kiki [did not have much to say] in front of other people.
Aside from not getting along with Jessica, Kiki may also have gotten into a cold war with Sisters of Pearl co-star, Michael Tao Dai Yu. Kiki and Michael were classmates in a TVB Acting Class twenty-seven years ago. Allegedly, during the filming of Sisters of Pearl, Kiki and Michael fought over the issue of out-takes. Allegedly, Kiki may even have criticized Michael’s acting skills regressing and that he did not know how to act.
There was obvious tension between Kiki and Michael, as evidenced at a Sisters of Pearl promotional event this week. The pair had zero interaction with each other onstage. Kiki and Michael’s twenty-seven friendship may well be over!
Kiki Sheung, Jessica Hsuan, Macy Chan and Joyce Tang were promoting TVB up coming new series "Sister Of Pearl" yesterday. Kiki revealed that she is getting married on October 3 in Hong Kong. Friend Jessica has a foreign boyfriend and Eric Suen has openly admitted Macy is his girlfriend. That leave Joyce who is still single. Kiki originally wanted to get married on October 10, symbolizes "perfect 10", but that date is fully booked, that is why she has chosen October 3 instead. She told reporter "I am not disappointed, I have a few friends who are getting married on October 3 as well."
The reporter asked if Kiki is starting to go on a slimming diet? She replied "Not yet, I will start at the beginning of May. I am worried if I start too early, I will put my weight back on in October." Kiki will look for her wedding gown abroad and as for her other evening dresses, she will look for the more sophisticated style.
Jessica Hsuan admits that she is not ready to get married yet. Asked if her boyfriend has proposed to her yet, she replied: “Not yet, but we have sat down and seriously talked about it, since we view each other as ‘marriage potential’. The result is that we decided this year both of us are too busy, so maybe later on we’ll look at it again.” Laughing, Jessica also indicated that her parents have ‘given up’ years ago, so they no longer nag her to get married anymore. Asked if she would have a baby first, she said: “No, because I’m a very traditional person.” She says that with the technology nowadays, she is not afraid of being pregnant at an older age.
As for Eric Suen openly admitting Macy Chan as his girlfriend, she smiled and said she has been very nervous because this is the first time that her relationship was made public. Macy said: “I never purposefully tried to hide it, just trying to let things run its course.” (Do you view each other as ‘marriage potential’?) “Of course, or else we wouldn’t be dating.” Asked if she will stick to the Christian belief of not having sex before marriage, she replied: “No one is perfect, but we will try our best. When we go out, we usually have a lot of stuff to do anyway, so it keeps us occupied.”
Though she is not in a relationship right now, Joyce Tang is not discouraged: “Rare things are the most valued; perhaps I will find someone down the road.” Joyce says that she is happy to see Kiki getting married, however there is no need for anyone to introduce a boyfriend for herself. She says: “I’ve actually been quite busy lately and there have been a few potential ‘suitors’ who have been interested in going out with me, so there’s no need to rush into things.”
