Lau Dan (劉丹) was assigned to become the judge of Sunday Stage Fight (Sunday好戲王) program and expressed he had more time to accompany his granddaughter since he had less work and praised her for having language talent. Although his daughter in-law had been working in Mainland China and spent less time with her daughter, but his son, Hawick Lau (劉愷威) will be returning to Hong Kong for a short break. Lau Dan said: "The daughter does not get to celebrate Mother's Day with her mother but able to celebrate Father's Day with her dad in June. Lau Dan (劉丹) attended an event, (EYT2016好友會聯歡晚宴) in Tsim Sha Tsui and almost 2 hundreds of cast and crew teams members of TVB classic variety show, Enjoy Yourself Tonight (歡樂今宵) turned up. It included Ding Yu (丁雨), Lee Tim Sing (李添勝), Danny Summer (夏韶聲), Lau Tin Chi (劉天賜), Tang Ying Man (鄧英敏) and others.

During the interview, Lau Dan felt emotional when meeting up with Danny Summer because of deceased David Lo (盧大偉): "One person less this year and we feel uncomfortable. Will try to participate in more events but depends on the fate though." Lau Dan also expressed his happiness when gathered together with the cast team from Enjoy Yourself Tonight show: "The youngsters do not understand as they do not film Enjoy Yourself Tonight show and it is a very special feeling. We feel elated and it resembles to doing good deeds with everybody."

Witnessed his son and Yang Mi had good relationship

When mentioned about his son, Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (楊冪) seldom spent time together and the rumour of their marriage crisis was circulating, Lau Dan replied he was very mad and denied it: "Previously, someone asked me over the phone and I almost spoke vulgarity. It is very irritating and the rumour started soon after they got married. (They have good relationship?) Yes and they are pursuing legal actions now. The opposite party must apologise after suing and is there any meaning for doing it? Anyway, it is overboard."

TVB new sitcom Love . Return Home held its costume fitting yesterday. The cast including Lau Dan, Chris Lai, Carlos Ng and Queenie Chu all attended. Queenie plays a lawyer in the sitcom, she expressed the producer came every other day to persuade her to cut her hair short:"Although I feel a little breeze on my neck, but I can save on the shampoo. My role is similar to my background, both started out in a beauty contest, but because of the exhaustion in showbiz, she decided to switch to become a lawyer." Queenie also exposed that she will be continuing the 'fate' with Chris Lai as they are a couple in the sitcom: "When I was in Miss HK, I did a dance performance with him before."

With red eyes, Carlos reveals he suffered from retinal detachment on his eye and had to do surgery: "I thought it was not a big deal, but the detachment was very close to the macula (yellow spot) and I must do surgery. I got 80% of my vision back now, and it depends on the condition if my eye can fully heal."

The sitcom is tentatively set for 180 episodes, but Lau Dan hopes to shoot another sitcom that could go over 1,000 episodes just like the classic The Kindred Spirit. When asked if Ricky Wong tried to poach him over to CTI? He said: "I already signed a two year contract with TVB before Ricky Wong contacted me. I even got a pay raise, if he contacted me earlier, I probably would have gotten a higher raise."
