(Feel the changes is too fast as you return quickly?) I have mention I am on stand-by and it is consider a maiden home. Frankie Lam (林文龍) and I join TVB in 1987 and he already leaves a few times. Evergreen Mak and Matt Yeung were recording for TVB new show Fun Three 1/2 Weeks (玩轉三周1/2). The two were disguised as Fala Chen and Sharon Chan from the series Queens of Diamond and Hearts and made a spoof of Roger Kwok. Evergreen said: "Roger has been the TVB King for 7 years, in the show, we tell Roger to come out and compete with Kevin Cheng and Raymond Lam!" Evergreen frankly expressed he has recorded several episodes for this show and the most challenging was when he had to pretend to be Raymond Lam and dance to CHOK. He said: "I initially wanted to turn it down because it's not my talent, but I really had interest in this gag."

Matt was pretending to be his ex-girlfriend Sharon Chan, he laughed and said he had a bathing scene with Evergreen: "I'm not sure if there will be complaints when the show airs. (Afraid Sharon might complain?) I'm afraid my mother and the housewives might complain. Complain that I have too much leg hair!"

Evergreen Mak and Stephen Au were on CRHK to guest star in radio programme Eighteenth Floor Block C(18樓C座). Evergreen laughed and said he has encountered his greatest challenge since his entry into the industry on TVB's comedic variety show (反轉三周半). Evergreen said: "On the show, I have to make a spoof and perform Raymond Lam's CHOK. I even have to do the dance too. I don't have talent in this area, so I'm really afraid!"

When speaking of TVB stopping all broadcast of the 2012 Summer Olympics, and will use Evergreen's Ghetto Justice to steal the Olympics' ratings. Evergreen shouted its a pity: "Although technology is so advanced now, but it's a little disappointing that it won't be broadcast. As for the ratings, I believe HK audience enjoys watching TV series, also the Ghetto Justice crew really sparked well. I'm not worried about the ratings at all!"

Stephen Au expressed he's trying to book time everywhere to hold his stand-up comedy show. He also expressed that for some odd reason TVB stopped him from shooting series, "The drama department randomly said I don't have to shoot dramas anymore, and wanted me to be a program host, but they didn't tell me the reason."

When Evergreen Mak meets Nancy Wu --- one became popular for his despicable role as Fei Fan Gor (No Regrets), while the other was acknowledged for her evil concubine roles. Unexpectedly these two were able to create heartwarming love sparks. In the current airing TVB series Daddy Good Deeds, Evergreen and Nancy play a loving couple. Asking in a harsh way: "Is this considered evil stands out and can finally be good people?" The two said together: "We will do whatever role TVB gives us. We never got to choose."

In fact, Evergreen has been with TVB for 25 years already, and Nancy is already stepping into her 10th year into her acting career. This is the their first time having scenes opposite of each other, as they play a loving married couple that struggles with their own careers, but are mutually supportive. To Evergreen, a caring husband is nothing too difficult for him, he's familiar with it. In reality, he is a father of two - one boy, one girl. Not only does he look after his own parents, he also does not neglect his in-laws. "The happiest is the series finale. It is also something I could do in reality, that is the whole family under one roof. We all have our own personal space and can often have dinner together."

Works Part-Time To Pay Off Debt

If Evergreen was the director, he should be able to turn his own story into a movie. He moved to Hong Kong from Shunde (in Guangdong) when he was 12. In 1987, he participated in TVB's first 'Super New Star Contest' and entered the industry from there. He has once experienced one year where he had no income at all, and only relied on overdrafts and credit cards to live. He worked part-time as a salesman at a shopping mall and paid off his debts in that way. When his acting career was still going nowhere, his mother and brother were diagnosed with cancer at that same time. His brother died at the age of 26, but Evergreen was fortunate to have the opportunity to continue being filial to his mother.

Although he had an especially tough journey, it has nothing to do with him choosing acting as his career. "Honestly, I often feel discouraged. I don't earn much being in this industry, and really can't raise a family. I can continue working in sales at a shopping mall, which clearly is more stable than acting. However, my wife knows that if I didn't choose this path, I wouldn't be as happy as I am today. Her support for me is very important."

Evergreen was in the industry for 23 years before he encountered the 'Fei Fan Gor' role in No Regrets. It is the first time he won TVB's Best Supporting Actor Award, and finally he reaches to popularity. "In fact, I have never changed my acting style, was Fei Fan Gor especially good? No, it is because luck hasn't come yet. I am not that type of lucky actor that can wait for scripts. I don't have the opportunity to wait, wait for a good role to be given to me. This is my life, I am just doing my best on each and every role I get."

Half Evil, Half Good

Nancy Wu is the 2008 'Most Improved Actress Award' winner. Since she entered the industry, her acting career was considered pretty stabled, no fears or dangers. We all agree that she's a good actress, but in 2010 and 2011, she made it on the nominations for 'Best Supporting Actress', but left empty-handed. "In the last few years, the more I think about it, the more I feel that each individual's luck is different. Sometimes it feels like everyone acknowledges you, but you don't get the awards. In fact, it is not necessary to put heavy thoughts on these gain or losses. Getting the award does not mean you are the best and no awards does not mean you are the worst."

Well-known for her villain roles, Nancy said she never got to choose her roles: "All along, I only got to choose whether to do it or not. But to me, that does not matter either, I don't separate good roles and villain roles, it's just there are differences in the roles. I won't categorize roles, it's just because viewers see the effect that they start categorizing good and villain roles."

Don't Let Past Success Hinder Future Success

Evergreen has also started viewing things more openly, he frankly said that no matter how successful 'Fei Fan Gor' was, it is all last year. "I remember several years ago, Ng Mang Tat told me, don't let previous achievements become today's prejudice and hinder future achievements. Thinking all day about the past will just hinder you from improving. Whether or not I can produce another 'Fei Fan Gor', that is my goal." He used Bobby Au-Yeung's words, that he used during his emotional acceptance speech back when he won the Best Actor award: "There are some things in this world, that Heaven have left for you. Just as long as you do your own part, Heaven will definitely reward you."

Yesterday Linda Chung, Evergreen Mak and Cilla Kung were on Metro Radio for an interview to promote new TVB series Daddy Good Deeds. Lead actor Steven Ma was absent due to skin allergies. Daddy Good Deeds is now the leader of the highest rated premiere (first) episode so far, averaging at 31 points and peaked at 33 points. However, it was said the broadcast period is considered the period of the ashes, Evergreen said: "If you ask me, there isn't the so-called 'ashes period'. I had it happened during the Lunar New YEar, but most important is quality. There will be amplitude every year, next week students will be taking exams and Easter is approaching, so there will be some affect. I hope everyone will record the show or catch it again on MyTV."

Linda expressed she's very pleased to hear the premiere rating peaked at 33 points. She reveals she will be taking 1 month off and visit her family in Canada.

Tavia Yeung, Fala Chen, Moses Chan, Evergreen Mak, and George Lam attended the Japan Home Centre Spring dinner event last night. Aside from singing and playing games, the artists went off the stage to shake hands with audience. Among the group, George was the most popular, where the audience surrounded him to take pictures. Moses was also surrounded by a group of female fans. A very lively atmosphere.

Recently, Tavia has been surrounded by gossips. First it was rumors that she got plastic surgery and then it was reported that rumored boyfriend Him Law said in front of his friends that she's upright the 'year of the carnivore' (chinese = 'fierce tiger'). Regarding the reports, Tavia expressed she wasn't upset and even joked: "Just think of it as promotions! Because I'm a popular person! There is no need to clarify anything. Is it true? I'll have to ask Him Law first, but I don't think he'll say that. First, the 'fierce tiger' is true, I have to be real 'fierce' to earn more money. (It's about demanding for sex though?) I really don't believe he would say that, who really understands us that much!"

When speaking of their 'latest development'? Tavia expressed they are still good friends. Earlier, Him strongly supported that she didn't get plastic surgery done, Tavia said: "Many people support me, not just him. I saw the report that he said he's supporting me so much that his back is aching. I'll give him some ointment for his back in return! (Isn't it more special tha he's supporting you?) Any guy who supports me, I will love!"

As for Fala and Evergreen, they were quite interactive with the audience. Fala asked if she's dressed especially conservative due to this? She said: "A little sexy! It's see through still. (Are you afraid of perverts?) Nope, most important is the good atmosphere." Evergreen reveals he and Eric Tsang went to Japan for promotions earlier, and had been eating day and night. Over the Lunar New Year, he gained over 20 pounds, fortunately Eric gave him two bags of slimming pills. Evergreen said: "I'm actively trying to lose weight! I had a crab feast in Japan too with Timmy Hung and Chin Kar Lok. We were going out to eat pulled noodles every night, extremely full every night!"

Evergreen Mak (Mak Bao) depended on his one role as 'Fei Fan Gor' gaining both fame and profit. Earlier after he won the Best Supporting Actor award, his jobs has increased, but he helplessly said that because of overlapping schedule, he was not able to accept several jobs. Yesterday Evergreen attended the "Betty Boop Christmas Lighting Stars Sound Exchange" with Kenny Wong in Metro Harbour Plaza. The organizers gave him a cake and a "Live Wheat Bread" (Mak Bao = Wheat Bread) congratulations to him. Mak Bao said: "I originally planned to spend Christmas with my family in Macau, but now I am filming a series, I don't even have time to earn money." The day before, Mak Bao also guest starred in the Lunar New Year film I Love HK Happy Thousand Years, he joked that he was frightened by Sandra Ng and Tony Leung pretending to be ghosts.

Last night at the TVB Sales Presentation 2011, though the TVB Fadans were all dressed nicely, but they were still not as charming as the Siu Sangs like Moses Chan, Wayne Lai and the recent rise in popularity Evergreen Mak. The three were the most well welcomed, once they appeared, they were immediately surrounded by lots of people! Moses looked like Mickey Mouse and attracted a long line of people asking him for pictures. He also got to line up right next to Liza Wang and went out to do the selling. As Moses was praised that he's good at selling, he only stood there smiling foolishly. When asked why he's dressed so conservatively? He said: "My chest hair is too much! (Next year only have 2 series?) I actually been filming a lot!"

As for Evergreen Mak, who is so evil in the series No Regrets that juice comes out, he appeared at the Sales Presentation as "Fei Fan Gor". Besides attracting lots of advertisers to surround him, even TVB deputy executive chairman Norman Leung wanted to take pictures with him. He said: "Don't be so many bad people!" Recently rising popularity, Evergreen felt very happy and joked: "They praised that I'm handsome, they really have good taste!"

Evergreen Mak mentioned his role as Fei Fan Gor in No Regrets being a hot topic, even producer Lee Tim Shing said that his role was really annoying in an interview. Evergreen laughed: "Nancy Wu saw this and told me about it, she said Tim Gor was yelling at me using foul language. I then explained to her that when I go out, the only phrase that is used to describe me is 'pok kai' (trip and fall on street). Actually this type of role, it's present in many companies. Fei Fan Gor really does deserve to 'pok kai'." (TN: "PK" = pok kai)

A breakthrough role as Fei Fan Gor, does Evergreen have confidence for Best Supporting Male Character at the awards ceremony? He said: "Never thought about this, I also don't think my role was anything special, just Tim Gor's scripts were written well. I believe this series will be a classic, so what I really want most is that this series gets the Most Popular Series award."
