37 year old Sam Lee said goodbye to singlehood, marries his girlfriend
Pae of many years. Yesterday afternoon the couple registered for
marriage and held the bride pick-up ceremony. In the evening, the newly
weds hosted a 39 table wedding banquet inviting family and friends. Many
good friends from the industry including Cheung Tat Ming, Edison Chen,
Eason Chan and his wife Hilary Tsui, Daniel Wu and his wife Lisa S, Dayo
Wong, Edmond Leung and his wife, Wilfred Lau, Grace Huang, Timmy Hung,
Eric Tsang, etc.
At about 7pm, Cheung Tat Ming who is currently
recovering from his illness, arrived at the hotel with a T-shirt, jacket
and hat. He seem very high-spirited and did a MJ pose for pictures. He
expressed: "I'm ok. Today I have to come out and celebrate with Sam. I'm
happy that he's so handsome, but staying for dinner won't be too good."
It was understood a few years ago, Cheung and Sam collaborated in
several films, so they have become good friends.
Wilfred arrived
alone, when reporters asked why he didn't bring girlfriend Joey Yung
along? He responded: "Chiu! Today Sam Lee is getting married, I wish him
to have a baby soon and be successful." Reporters continued to ask
about Joey, he tried to avoid all questions and made up several excuses,
"I have to go upstairs to see what performances there are" and "The
brothers are calling me".
Yesterday morning at the bride pick-up
ceremony, Sam had 16 groomsmen and the bride had 8 bridesmaids; Sam
gave 5 figures lucky money at the door to pick up his wife.
As
for his plans to have children, Sam said: "It should be after two years.
Wait until I finish shooting my series. On January 1st, my wife and I
are going to Maldives for our honeymoon." When asked if it was difficult
at the bride pick-up? He expressed: "The groomsmen and I had to peel
bananas with our mouth. It was all wet and mushy, very nasty." Sam gave
out wedding invitations to the cast of
Ghetto Justice, but
unfortunately the majority of them are filming series elsewhere, only
Jazz Lam is in HK. He sighed TVB has no heart and were unwilling to let
them take the day off.
