Since her departure from TVB’s singing contest The Voice 2 after heated debates with main judge Elisa Chan, Teresa Carpio appeared at an event in Hong Kong last night for the first time in months. Teresa expressed that she returned to Hong Kong (from Canada) about 2 weeks ago and emphasized that the primary reason for returning is to support one of her students, who will be having a performance in mid-August. She will be attending the performance and also singing.
At the event, Teresa was asked if TVB had invited her back to be a judge on The Voice 2 since her return. Upon hearing mention of the program, Teresa’s expression immediately changed and said she did not want to talk about it: “I don’t want to talk about so many negative rumors anymore.” (If TVB invites you back, would you be interested?) “Don’t ask me again.” (Host Sammy Leung once stated that you have huge mood fluctuations – are you upset at his comments?) “I really don’t want to respond. The primary purpose of me returning to Hong Kong is for my student’s performance, which is a happy matter – I don’t want to talk about unhappy things right now.”
Also in attendance at the event were Jack Wu, his wife June Chan, and their daughter.
