TVVB artistes leaving in drove isn't news anymore. It seems like, every other day, you hear news about people say bye-bye to TVB. This time is Miss Chinese International Pageant 2008 1st place winner Océane Zhu(朱璇). Although she already proclaimed she won't be renewing her contract when it expires at the end of the year, she couldn't wait to let everyone know that she will be leaving. It's no wonder she wants to leave after staying at TVB for 7 years playing insignificant roles. So why not try her luck somewhere else?

Last Friday, Océane post pictures of her pageant crown and the TVB buddy figure with the following message: "bye my doll house, bye my 7 years of time, infinite gratitude to those I've met in the past, infinite gratitude! a tres bientot buddy. P.S. I won't be returning my pageant crown!" When reporter asked Océane if her contract has expired, she replied it will be expired soon.

In fact, Océane attended an acting school in France and she was once nominated for Hong Kong Film Award For Best New Performer with her performance in the movie "Prince of Tears(淚王子)". Yet, TVB didn't seem to care and only assigned her insignificant roles. She also only appeared in a few episodes in the recently aired drama series "Captain of Destiny(張保仔)". So she may be better off leaving TVB and see if there are better opportunities out in the open market.

Actress Oceane Zhu may not be renewing her contract with TVB, as she recently expressed her intention to continue her studies, having postponed it to pursue acting, Mingpao News reported.

However, the 27-year-old admitted to have yet made a firm decision as to whether she will leave for good, saying she loves acting as much as she wants to finish her university degree.

Oceane said that she will have a lot of time to think about it, since she still has a few years with the station before her contract expires.

Meanwhile, in response to rumours saying that Miss Hong Kong contestants have been asked to sign long contracts with an offer of only HKD 7000 (USD 902) per month salary, Oceane said that her own salary has never been that low.

In the meantime, the actress will be busy filming her new series, "Captain of Destiny", alongside Tony Hung and Ruco Chan.

TVB actress Oceane Zhu has been spotted on an outing with a mainland Chinese actor, triggering speculations that they are in a relationship.

According to East Week website, the Beijing-born beauty was recently seen on what looked like a dinner date with 24-year-old Jonathan Wu, who is known to his fans as the "Beijing Raymond Lam".

The pair seemed to be unfazed by the paparazzi's presence and enjoyed their meal together. Later, Jonathan escorted the actress back to her apartment.

Sources claimed that the two of them were introduced by Oceane's good friend, BoBo, who is also the wife of Beijing businessman Benson Li.

Jonathan Wu is a mainland actor of Chinese-Thai descent. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 2008 and has starred in several projects such as "Dali Princess", "Midnight Mirror" and "East West Without A Question". He is also involved in several modelling work that include Samsung, Lexus and Beijing MTR.

Playing the role of a seductress or a third party in numerous dramas does not make you such person in real life, as stressed by both TVB actresses, Samantha Ko and Oceane Zhu.

Popular Asians website reported that the two actresses - who have been playing such roles in various TVB dramas, emphasised that although they are willing to portray these characters, they are highly against being third parties in real life.

"Friendly Fire" actress, Samantha Ko, revealed that she took on such roles because other actresses are afraid to taint their reputation through such characters, and said, "Maybe it's because during my first two years in the industry, I had no experience with dramas, so every time I was cast, I see it as an opportunity. These types of roles allow for more development. An actress has to portray all types of characters."

Speaking about real life, Samantha exclaimed that she would never be a third party in someone else's relationship and stated that if she does happen to end up in a triangle relationship, she will insist to be the one who leaves right away.

Like Samantha, Oceane also sees third party roles as opportunities. "I don't resist portraying third party roles, because I want to try roles with a bad image and give the audience a fresh feeling. Viewers would be bored if an actress plays the same character over and over again."

Asked what her family think of her roles, she stated, "Portraying a third party is a bit awkward, but I'm not afraid of worrying my family. They understand my personality well, and know it's only acting."
