Lately there have been rumors saying Mat Yeung (楊明) moved into his girlfriend, Lisa Ch’ng’s (莊思明) mansion, accusing him of being a kept man. Lisa Ch’ng is a Malaysian Chinese. It’s said someone in her family has “Datuk” status, an honorific title usually bestowed to prominent male figures and men who contributed something of value to society. Lisa Ch’ng clarified the rumors in a lengthy IG post today.

“A lot of people think I live a good life without worries, but how many people really know me and my lifestyle?

If I told everyone that money doesn’t just appear in my hands, that I need to earn money myself, how many people would believe me?
I know I am pretty fortunate because I have a place to live, so I am very thankful. But I also need to work hard to make money to support my day to day needs and also reduce the burden on my family. I am not a person who doesn’t need to work or worry, like what everyone says.
Frankly speaking, I wish I was!

However, everyone can continue misunderstanding me. I don’t really care, because sine day 1 of stepping into the industry, everyone looks at me this way.

The thing I mind the most is people saying Mat Yeung is a kept man (“eating soft rice”: 食軟飯)!
I already kept my mouth shut for a long time. I thought time would prove everything, but a lot of people won’t face the truth.
I can be very certain and tell everyone that Mat Yeung has never used a penny of mine. It’s actually the opposite. When I buy clothes, shoes, or go to the supermarket for everyday goods, Mat Yeung pays for everything. Because he told me it’s a man’s responsibility to take care of his other half.

Lisa Chong (莊思明) wears shorts revealing her long legs on 05 August and exposes her boyfriend, Mat Yeung (楊明) always laments that she wears too sexily: "He assumes I like to reveal myself when wearing tank top and shorts. He is more conservative in certain stuff and I am quite happy that he is concerned about me." Mentioning about her elder sister, Jacquelin Chong (莊思敏) comments that her singing comes from the "hell", Lisa replies her singing is extraordinary and her younger sister has a good singing voice and may emerge as sisters group.

Mentioning about netizens commenting her boyfriend, Mat Yeung (楊明) and Benjamin Yuen's (袁偉豪) English are poor during their performances during All Work No Pay Holidays 2 (打工捱世界II) show, Lisa replies Mat knows about it and does not have any special feelings as netizens tend to post negative comments on social networking website and release their dissatisfaction towards the society. Artiste are supposed to bring in entertainment to everybody and introduce the different types of work. It is not an education show and she hopes everyone will not use the usual education standard to watch the show.

Lisa Chong (莊思明) is having a live broadcast and playing Live Jam song in the car when attending "Big Big Channel" by TVB in Yau Tong. She brings her dog along when working and the netizens witness that she is afraid of water scene. Asking if she approaches her boyfriend, Mat Yeung (楊明) before, Lisa replies she is scolded by him: "He tells me not to take photos." She adds that Mat is not bothered by his looks and wears a cap when going out. When asked if she thinks of having a live broadcast of dancing, Lisa is worried about scaring her fans and dares not wear swimsuit due to gaining weight.

Lisa Chong (莊思明) and Mat Yeung (楊明) have always been a loving couple and show their love in the air at times. They celebrated their 1 year dating anniversary with heart shape cardboard and cake at the restaurant on 01 April.

Matt left a message that he will love Lisa for 10,000 years: "We have dated for 1 year and thank you for everything. Hopefully we can celebrate together every year. Love you!" Lisa replied his message: "First Anniversary, I love you!"

Mat Yeung's (楊明) birthday is on 27th February while his girlfriend, Lisa Chong's (莊思明) birthday falls on 15th February. They attended a TVB event together and Mat expressed he lacked of sufficient time to celebrate Lisa's birthday due to filming series everyday but had already thought of the combined gift for birthday and Valentine's Day though. Lisa said: "I am at a disadvantage as my birthday and Valentine's Day are too close."

Mat Yeung (楊明) is taken photographs of accompanying his girlfriend, Lisa Chong (莊思明) to the hospital in Happy Valley, Hong Kong earlier and she is seen vomiting at one corner. Thus, rumours of her expecting begin to circulate around. Around 7pm in the evening, Mat drove Lisa' car to the hospital nearby and was using his mobile when getting off from the car. He saw his friend and chatted for a while.

After an hour, Mat received a phone call and drove to the hospital immediately. Lisa wore a mask and looked tired after walking out from the hospital. They then headed towards Tsim Sha Tsui for dinner.

Mat Yeung (楊明) attended an event today and when mentioned about accompanying his girlfriend, Lisa Chong (莊思明) to see doctor a few nights ago and rumours of her pregnancy begun to widespread, he told everyone not to be mistaken and she fell sick due to the weather: "My mother will be most happy if it is true. Too bad, it is fake." Asking if Louisa Mak (麥明詩) managed the relationship with her old love, Joseph Lam (林作), she replied she was trying to and was not interested in new relationship. When mentioned about Joseph released an English book teaching to woo girls, Louisa replied he was sensible and not worried about using her case as an example.

New Year's eve is arriving soon! Mat Yeung (楊明) has not plan any gift for his girlfriend, Lisa Chong (莊思明) yet and said: "I give her a pair of couple shoes earlier and cannot think of anything to give her this time." He added some clients approached them to attend events as couple and Mat did not mind working with Lisa and act intimate scene together.

TVB artiste Mat Yeung (楊明) and Katy Kung (龔嘉欣) have rumours before but they clarified they resembled to siblings. They saw the reporters at the airport a few days ago and Katy immediately said: "Please do not say we are having honeymoon!"

Subsequently, many fans praised Mat and Katy resembled a couple and told Katy to snatch Mat from his girlfriend, Lisa Chong (莊思明). When asked if she was scared as a result, Lisa said: "I know they are working in overseas and there are others too. I believe Mat will bring me along if having honeymoon." Mat was filming Mind Hunter (心理追兇) series at Tseung Kwan O TVB City in the afternoon and when asked if he was proposing marriage, he said: "Nope. Everyone is mistaken. (Showing your love for each other frequently?) Sometimes and sharing happiness with everybody only. (Saving for marriage now?) Saving up now. (Lisa said her mother liked you?) Is it? We get along well when meeting up earlier. (Will get married suddenly?) Nope. We need to increase our understanding in order to proceed to the next stage. Marriage cannot be taken lightly. (Afraid of breaking your promise when you declare Lisa is your last girlfriend?) Nope. It comes from my heart and depends on the communication. Anyway, I am full of confidence."

TVB actor Mat Yeung (楊明) was injured when filming series and the bones on his knee was exposed as a result. He transferred to a private hospital on 29 June and during the telephone interview with ON.CC (東網), Mat expressed his wound had more than 10 stitches and it was very painful due to the deep wound. He added he went for head and legs check-ups and said: "It is nothing serious and I should be discharged from the hospital soon." When mentioned about his girlfriend, Lisa Chong (莊思明) was taking care of him continuously, Mat expressed his gratitude towards her: "Thank you for taking care of me!"

TVB actor, Mat Yeung (楊明) was trying his role image for new series, Mind Hunter (心理追兇) at Tseung Kwan O TVB City. He is currently in a relationship with Lisa Chong (莊思明) and disclosed her parent praised him as good man when having dinner with them: "Thank you to them and I am a good man in reality. (When you are getting married?) Not that soon as we need to work first."

When mentioned about Lisa was having a good time for boat riding with her male friends, Mat defended her: "That day was her friend's birthday and they went for boat riding only. It is nothing negative. (Jacquelin Chong (莊思敏) commented you were better than Lisa's old love, Victor Chen (陳司翰)?) Comparison is not good and everybody has different ways to get along together. I must stay focus in my work other than treating my girlfriend." Mat added he will be extra cautious when dating in the street next time.

Matt Yeung (楊明) and Lisa Chong (莊思明) are dating currently and she followed him when he was working in Kuala Lumpur (KL) a few days ago. They also visited her parent as well.

On 21 May, they returned to Hong Kong but walked out one after another instead. Lisa was wearing a mask while holding her luggage and a man appeared to carry her luggage after that. When asked about not walking out of the arrival hall with Mat together, Lisa said: "I am on vacation. (Not dating together?) We eat dinner together. (See your parent too?) Not telling you. (Developing too quickly?) Nothing to say. (Set a date for marriage yet?) No thoughts about it and I feel frightened upon seeing the reporters." Asking if her parent scolded her for behaving intimately with Mat at the street, Lisa replied her parent did not discuss about it with her but will be extra cautious next time.

In addition, Lisa introduced Mat to her friends so as to interact with them. On Instagram, Johnson Lee's (李思捷) rumoured girlfriend, Amber shared their group photo and expressed it had been 10 years since she saw Lisa.

Earlier, ON.CC (東網) took photos of Matt Yeung (楊明) and Lisa Chong (莊思明) holding hands together and continuing their romance upstairs for an hour. Hence, their relationship was exposed as a result. Although they were dating, but career remained important and Matt shared photos of himself in Malaysia on Weibo not long ago. It turned out that he was filming program '' with Eliza Sam (岑麗香), Natalie Tong (唐詩詠) and William Chak (翟威廉) and Matt was dressed in cyclist attire: "Filming in Kuala Lumpur (KL) on the first day and my first time to cycle in KL. I also cycle at night and get to see different views of KL." Is Mat trying to earn more money in order to marry Lisa quickly.

According to Hong Kong media, Matt and Lisa have just started dating. The couple was caught dating after Mat went to pick up Lisa at the Central. After they got off the car, Lisa was seen holding onto Mat’s arm and headed to his home.

An hour later, the couple headed to Kowloon to meet up with their colleagues for a hotpot meal. Matt could have spotted the paparazzi, and put on a mask when he left the place at about midnight. Five minutes later, Lisa came out from the building.

Lisa started dating Kelly Chen’s younger brother, Victor Chen in 2011, and had an on-off relationship with him.

Matt used to date Sharon Chan, but after they broke up, he had little rumours. In 2013, he announced wedding with his girlfriend, Joanna who was outside the showbiz. However, the wedding was called off and the couple broke up.

Matt has since admitted his relationship with Lisa. He said, “Yes, We are together and we have just started. Please give us some space. I always think that Lisa is a nice girl. After filming Come Home Love <愛．回家>, we have more time to meet and interact. Actually, not many people know about us. We did not tell everyone about our relationship, so I am not sure if our colleagues know about it.”

Meanwhile, Lisa is also very open about her new relationship, and draws a line with her ex-boyfriend. She said, “I and Victor broke up a few months ago. I wished to keep my love life low profile, and hence, I did not announce. We have sent blessings to each other. After this time, I will not respond on other matters relating to him. Similarly, please do not ask him about my matters. Thank you! As for Mat and I, we will respond when we meet everyone the next time. Thank you for your concern.”

Matt Yeung (楊明) was on a radio station to promote the drama  Momentary Lapse of Reason (收 規華). When speaking about the ratings, he said it has about 24, 25 rating points, but hopes the finale's rating will even be better. He also revealed that he is currently busy filming Brother's Keeper II (巨 輪2), and next month will be going to Macau to film for about a month and a half. He frankly said if there are time in between, he will return to Hong Kong.

When speaking about fadans leaving the TVB family, he said probably they just want to go out there and experience more. He was asked if this gives him more opportunities? However, he said: "The company has given me a lot of opportunities. I have to see if I'm capable of it, but I will try to do my best". (Would you want to go to Mainland to earn more?) I do want to earn more money. (How long left of your contract?) About two years. TVB have not discussed with me about a contract renewal. (Would you renew your contract?) It's about 16, 17 years from acting class till now. TVB made me feel like I'm at home, like a 5-star home. I know everyone from front stage to back stage, from the cleaning ladies to producers. Besides high school, TVB is my second place where I have stayed the longest. So I prefer TVB.

Yesterday Matt Yeung was at TVB City shooting for new series Semi-Evil Person. Earlier it was reported Matt and his girlfriend of 3 years were planning to get married at the end of the year, but unfortunately they broke up right before the marriage. In response to the rumor, Matt admitted since May of this year, after he finished shooting Outbound Love in Malaysia, he and his girlfriend separated. He disclosed during the course of the wedding preparations, the couple had too many arguments. He said: "We had too many arguments while deciding where to get married, she wanted to hold the wedding in the US, but I had to work and couldn't fly over there. (A pity?) Yeah, but it would've been a bigger problem if we decided to get married and then divorce, so its fortunate we split before signing the papers."

Matt also expressed because he didn't has as much time, thus he didn't contact his girlfriend as much. Asked how they're going to handle the wedding photos that they have already taken? He said: "Keep it for memories. (Do you feel like crying?) I do feel unhappy, but work can distract me from the unhappiness."

His sudden rise in popularity may have been the cause of Matt Yeung's breakup from his girlfriend of three years.

As reported on HK Channel, Matt Yeung, whose character roles has been growing more significant over the years, had delayed his wedding with his girlfriend Joanna, which was scheduled to be held in October this year.

The 32-year-old actor, who announced that he will wed Joanna during a filming break in October 2011, had not been able to decide on the perfect date due to his busy schedule and announced that the October 2013 wedding had to be postponed to another time instead.

However, sources claimed that Joanna was tired of waiting and decided to leave him. The couple broke their engagement in June.

Matt expressed, "Joanna works outside the entertainment industry and doesn't understand how things works. She thought that I was just making up excuses not to marry her."

The actor is unhappy their relationship did not work out after being together for three years, but added, "It's better to find out that we're not suitable for each other now than after marriage."

Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung endured through 14 years before getting a position as TVB's Siu Sang and FaDan. However, their classmate from the TVB Artistes Training Class, Matt Yeung, is still lagging far behind the two! Matt admitted he misbehaved too much in the past, and could only invest time into "cleaning up" his image. It wasn't until this year that he had the opportunity to sign an artist management contract with TVB and get promoted.

When Matt was young, he had the looks and the height. Back then, he could even be considered better looking than Raymond Lam, but unfortunately he didn't treasure his opportunities and get in trouble with the law several times, such as drunk driving and property damage. All he had was negative news and a negative image.

Thinking back to the past, Matt blamed himself: "Back then I played too much, but I'm 32 years old now, I know I need to behave. You think I'm still 17?! I remember 4-5 years after I got into trouble, I was so miserable because my image hit rock bottom and I didn't have much work. My roles were either bad boys or some fility rich young master. Fortunately Tsang Jeh (TVB executive Catherine Tsang) still supported me and was willing to chat with me. In 2010, producer Tsui Yiu On bravely cast me in the sitcom Some Day. Although I was just a supporting actor, I portrayed a diligent chef and was able to ditch the bad boy image. My roles later concentrated on the third lead actor, and recently I just finished shooting new series Property Protector with Steven Ma and Tavia Yeung. I really have to thank Uncle Choi (Producer Leung Choi Yuen) for taking good care of me. Each time he starts a new series, he gives me the opportunity to participate in it."

Matt finally waited to the day he can stand out again. When he first signed as an artist on salary, his financial status finally improved and had a "mountain to lean on" when he became a TVB contracted artist. He said: "I know I don't have the singing skills, so I can't be like Fred Cheng, suddenly gaining so much popularity. Life is a long journey, but 14 year in show business is actually quite short, so I don't have to be in such a hurry, just as long as I work hard. Actually I am really happy for Fred Cheng, he's a great person. That day he just played a constable in Karma Rider, but now that he's popular, he's still just as nice as before."
