As reported on Mingpao News, the actress, who attended the press conference of the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards on 27 November, clarified that she has not been seeing a doctor or visiting a Chinese medicine clinic because of pregnancy like it was previously reported.

The 39-year-old actress said that it would be impossible for her to be pregnant since she has to perform various action and wire stunts for her new series, and dismissed the notion of keeping it a secret for the first three months as part of the Chinese tradition.

However, the actress added that she would always welcome an addition to the family.

Nancy Sit, Angela Tong, Joyce Tang (Ah Tang), Pierre Ngo and Evergreen Mak took part in a promotional event for TVB series Queen Divas. The cast were on an open-roof bus touring the city and gave out lucky red envelopes to the citizens. When asked where they'll be celebrating the new year? Newly wed Ah Tang expressed she'll be traveling over the new year, but denied she's "hiding" from the new year. She said: "I'll be back on the 3rd day of CNY! You think I won't have to give out red envelopes?! (Give bigger ones?) Well yes, but just the envelope will be bigger!"

As for Angela, she expressed she will be bringing her daughter with her to send new year greetings. (Get all the money back from the red envelopes others give?) I give out a lot myself too." Also, Angela expressed her husband Chin Ka Lok watched her new series and when he saw the scene where she kissed Pierre Ngo, he appeared a little upset and playfully slapped her arm. TVB Lunar New Year series Queen Divas is about two popular television actresses Joyce Tang and Angela Tong who are always competing against each other. They compete from the entertainment industry to the wealthy family they both marry into. What women fear most is being compared to others, but the two first time daughter-in-laws shouldn't mind because in their husbands Matthew Chu and Chin Ka Lok's hearts, they are the queens.

We cannot deny the Queen Divas producer had a good eye when casting Joyce and Angela to star in this series because their roles are very similar to them in real life. Just like the series, Joyce and Angela started their career together in the TVB Artistes Training Class in 1995 and coincidentally they both just became married women not long ago. The former just married her fiance Matthew Chu a month ago and the latter married Chin Ka Lok a year ago. The ladies completely satisfied the needs of the series.

After marriage, the first experience is of course the relationship with their mother-in-laws. Fortunately, the ladies have easy to get along with mother-in-laws and there hasn't been any challenge being a daughter-in-law. Joyce said: "It is her son (Joyce's husband) that is amazing because he was the one who found an especially big house for us to live in, therefore we all have our own personal space. When I need peace and quiet, I can go up to the second level. Also my mother-in-law has her own circle of friends, she doesn't need us to accompany or accommodate her." Angela added: "Before we got married, I spent time alone with Chin Ka Lok's parents whenever he didn't have time. We don't have any problems getting along. It was only after my daughter was born, my mother came over to help us take care of the baby and it was then they saw the whinny side of me." Angela laughed loudly after she said that.

Chan Sam Yuen v.s. Lee Siu Ho

Come to think of it, Joyce and Angela have a pretty good marriage life. In the real world, they have already found their greatest happiness and will no longer have to strive for lead roles like they do in the series, but Joyce expressed she doesn't see it that way. "After marriage, I actually think this is the opportunity where I could really charge forward in career and make a breakthrough because if I have children in the future, I probably won't put that much effort into it, so I'm really going to take advantage of this time and hit a new breakthrough in my acting career." You cannot blame her for being so career-minded since she was already recognized for her sassy rich girl role "Leung Bing Suet" in the long running sitcom The Kindred Spirit. Joyce later had her most notable role "Chan Sam Yuen" in the Armed Reaction franchise, but the female lead went from Esther Kwan to Ada Choi and Joyce was stuck as the second lead. Although she didn't have the first leading role, she still had a breakthrough opportunity!

But whether an artist gets popular or not, it really depends on the right timing. Angela Tong is a good example. When she first debuted she was given many third party roles because she had a sexy image. Fortunately in 2005, she was given an ugly girl role "Lee Siu Ho" in Life Made Simple, which got her very popular and that same year, she won "Best Supporting Actress" at the TVB Anniversary Awards. Angela got so popular, she made it on the headlines on the magazines all over Hong Kong and her wealthy family background surfaced as well. Unfortunately her popularity didn't last long. Angela said: "I agree women shouldn't give up on their career after marriage. My personality is not suitable to be a full-time mother. Haha, I say that but if my daughter ever need me one day, I'll think differently!"

Two-People World v.s. 24 Hour Mother

Angela shared her experience as a mother, she said: "I don't know if its because of hormonal changes, but after becoming a mother, I am very sensible. When my daughter first learned to turn herself, I cried; Every family themed movie I watched with Chin Ka Lok, I cried. In the past whenever I have interviews, I would prepare several different outfits, so the media could take pictures, but now I just call Toby (Leung) and borrow clothing from her because I don't want to buy new clothing. I don't have place to put them since my daughter has hogged all the space in my house."

Its a blessing to be a mother and its not like Joyce hasn't considered this, but at this stage in life, she enjoys life with just two people. Joyce met her husband at a wine tasting party and then they started dating. She expressed what she admires most about her husband is he's attentive. "In front of others, he's very cool, but in front of me, he's like a big kid. The most important is he really understands me. He knows exactly what I need at the right time. As for babies, we actually really enjoy a free lifestyle, but we're considering it." A newly wed wife meets a new mother, what a sweet combination!

TVB Lunar New Year series Queen Divas starring Nancy Sit, Angela Tong, Joyce Tang, Evergreen Mak and Pierre Ngo premieres next Monday. In the series, Angela and Joyce play good friends who join showbiz together, but because of repeated misunderstandings, they became a bickering pair competing for everything. Eventually they both married into a wealthy family, Angela married Pierre Ngo and Joyce married his brother Evergreen Mak. The two took their competition to the next level, and started fighting for favor in the family. In the end, their mother-in-law Nancy Sit had to step in to settle them down.

This is Angela's first series after giving birth and now that she's already a married woman, she turns away from kiss scenes, but unfortunately she wasn't able to escape from it. She laughed: "After I got married, I didn't really want to do kiss scenes. I thought I got away with it in the bed scene I had with Pierre, but to my surprise, during our wedding scene everyone shouted 'kiss him, kiss him', and I don't know how we ended up with one kiss. When that scene airs, I'm turning off the TV, so my husband can't watch it. Haha."

Angela and Joyce can finally show her comedic skills in the this series. The ladies had several funny costumes, such as the "maiden Pi". It turns out Joyce and Angela graduated from the TVB Artistes Training class the same year and were classmates, thus they had great chemistry. Angela said: "We had many funny scenes, just like the wedding scene, Joyce played a joke on me by patting the 'bye bye' meat on my arm. We were laughing to death."

Yesterday Angela Tong attended the MARIE FRANCE BODYLINE event as their slimming ambassador. Angela appeared in a deep V red dress, showing off her nice figure after giving birth. Although Angela still has a little postpartum fat left, she lost 30 pounds within 3 months.

Angela expressed she was completely out of shape after giving birth to her daughter and didn't dare to let her husband Chin Ka Lok look at her. The event organizers played a pre-recorded clip of Chin Ka Lok's message to his wife, giving her a pleasant surprise. The surprised Angela expressed: "I never thought I could lose weight that fast. My current figure is much better than after giving birth, but I hope to lose a little more, so I could wear skinny jeans. When I reach my ideal body figure, I will consider wearing a bikini for my husband. I do not want to be too sexy in a public event, otherwise my husband will say I'm 'a shame to the Chin family.'!" As losing the postpartum fat was healthy and fast, Angela considers trying for another baby soon.

Angela's daughter is 5 months old now and is already 18.5 pounds. She is consider a "giant baby". On March 10th at 12pm, Angela Tong went into labor at the Canossa Hospital (Caritas), and gave birth to the 7 pounds, 3 ounces baby girl Alyssa via natural delivery. Baby Alyssa has lots of hair and looks very cute. Yesterday Angela and her husband Chin Ka Lok shared the good news. Angela's recovery after the natural delivery is going very smoothly, she looked well spirited, but she still has a bulging belly. As the couple left the hospital, Chin Ka Lok gave Angela kisses several times and disclosed they already hired someone to help with "sitting the month" (postpartum confinement month). Angela's going to be on break and focus entirely on being a mother and she'll be breast feeding as well.

Chin Ka Lok revealed his wife was expected to due on March 17th, but her water broke on the 10th, so she was sent to the hospital at 7am and gave birth to Alyssa in the afternoon. Chin Ka Lok expressed he didn't plan to go into the delivery room, but the moment he wanted to fulfill his childhood dream of just waiting outside the delivery room, the nurse was already rushing him into the room to accompany Angela. Because of that, he was able to witness the most important moment. He described the moment as if he was shooting an action movie, he was like the action director trying to tell his wife to breathe. He said: "I think she used her strength in the wrong area, she put it all on her face. I taught her to breathe like she's pooping. The nurse asked me to be more direct, but I personally wanted to hold back and have a little imagination."

When the couple heard the sound of their daughter's cry, they were moved to tears. Chin Ka Lok said: "My wife was crying like a faucet and I was like a small fountain. Luckily I went into the delivery room, the entire situation was so subtle, miraculous, really amazing, incredible and wonderful. I really cherish the moment." Chin Ka Lok expressed he initially refused to cut the umbilical cord because he was worried he wouldn't do a good job and cause his daughter's belly button to look ugly. In the end, the doctor asked him if he's just afraid of blood? He said: "I thought to myself, I'm used to filming action movies, how could I be afraid! At first, I thought it was just one cut, but turns out you have to make a few determined cuts. I'm very happy, can't believe Chin Ka Lok can become a father. I just feel like I'm dreaming." Angela exposed: "Him?! He immediately took out a camera and asked me to take pictures for him!"

Angela revealed she was in pain for 2 hours during labor, but Ka Lok said: "At the time, she was so confused. She asked me if she'll be able to do it. I said the same thing I said to Nicholas Tse, when he had to jump from the 8th floor during the filming of The Viral Factor, I said to him: 'Don't think you can't do it, you have to think about how to do it.'" When asked who he thinks his daughter resembles more, mother or father? Chin Ka Lok laughed: "The nurse said she looks more like me. I immediately thought of Bonnie (one of the contestants on Bride Wannabes), of course its better to look like mom! The grandparents thought she looks like me too. My daughter's eyes are very wide, her big eyes must look like her mom." He joked he's considering naming his daughter "Chin Ching", but ultimately his father will have to make modifications. The couple loves children, therefore after Angela's recovery, they plan to have more children. Chin Ka Lok said: "I hope to get a little brother for Alyssa!"

Yesterday the Inbound Troubles cast and crew including Angela Tong, Roger Kwok, Wong Cho Lam, Joey Meng, Bob Lam, Siu Bo (Sai Sai Lap) and Wong Keung Leung attended the dinner celebration hosted by Norman Leung. TVB executives Virgina Lok and Au Wai Lam were there as well. At the event, Bob tried hard to pick Sai Sai Lap up, but had difficulty, then Sai Sai Lap took her turn and carried Bob, making the atmosphere very lively. Joey was asked if she's part of the Inbound Troubles sequel? She laughed: "I think so?" Wong Cho Lam joked: "We'll have to see how you perform first."

The pregnant Angela Tong, who is due on March 17th, attended the celebration as well and exposed she gained 60 pounds. Angela already got her haircut and prepared to deliver her baby girl. She was apologetic for being half and hour late. During the interview, Angela asked reporters not to take pictures because she wanted to sit with her legs spread apart since that's more comfortable and didn't want people to think she's not elegant.

Reporters mentioned Angela's cup size increased, she knew it would happen and that she'll be breastfeeding her baby. Angela revealed she has already named her baby girl Alyssa (the name originated from Greece, it is a small white flower from the Mediterranean sea). Her father-in-law (Chin Kar Lok's father) is responsible for the Chinese name.

Angela is expected to due on the 17th, she frankly expressed she's already feeling nervous because she feels her belly dropping and she's getting leg cramps frequently. Asked if she already prepared the baby products? She said: "I didn't buy anything yet, just bought some new bras. My friends have many baby products that I could use. Mimi Lo told me I don't have to buy any clothing, she already has a full bag of baby clothes for me. (Are you scared of going into labor?) Yeah, I've gained 60 pounds. The fat went to my thighs, buttock and I even have stretch marks. My fingers swelled up so much, I can't even put my wedding ring on."

Also, TVB executives Au Wai Lam and Virgina Lok responded to the rumor that Mimi Lo exploded at TVB for trying to 'collect debt' from her. Virgina said: "We were already discussing the contract with her since 2011. Up until 2012, I told her the contract will be extended and she will get a pay raise. At the time, she said she is still considering and that we didn't have to discuss so early. (Collecting debt from her?) If some artists turn down shows for no reason, then that must be made up for before the contract. These are handled case by case. I will discuss with her more." It was rumored Lee Heung Kam developed dementia, asked about her current health condition? Miss Lok said: "I saw the report myself and was very worried. I'm meeting her on Wednesday to catch up, her health condition is OK and still very well-spirited."

Angela Tong accepted [Mingpao Weekly] exclusive interview despite being 8 months pregnant. She went to the interview with her 42-inch giant belly and expressed: "The first Inbound Troubles promotion was held on an open top bus and there isn't seat belts on the bus, it's a little dangerous. Chin Ka Lok didn't think that was too good, so that's why I didn't go. After we finished with our marriage and wedding, I concentrated on my pregnancy. Since I get tired easily, I could only go out to the supermarkets to buy groceries to make soup. My friends have scolded me that I cannot be like that, so today it would be impossible for me not to go out. Let me tell you, I am currently 8 months pregnant, but I don't even have a shirt for my baby to wear when we discharge from the hospital. My mom has to help me buy everything."

Angela sure does have a giant belly, when asked if she already thought of a name for her baby? She said: "I'm responsible for the English name, I want her name to follow mines, a name that begins with an 'A'. Ka Lok is responsible for the Chinese name." Angela's belly is so big, it's a little exaggerating, "Haha! I measured my belly, its 42 inches and weighs over 40 pounds! I'm considered pretty lucky, my baby is doing very well. Since I became pregnant, everything started going smoothly. I did not have any difficulty whatsoever, I didn't have morning sickness at all. Many other pregnant women would feel especially disgusted by certain foods, but I don't have that wanting-to-vomit feeling. I just want to eat, and this allows me to really enjoy food. Also, I think I look quite pretty like this."

When asked if she's planning to give birth naturally or via C-section? Has she discussed with Chin Ka Lok yet? Angela laughed: "No need to discuss, we both plan to have more. We aren't young, but we don't just want to have one child. I hope we have two or three children. Ka Lok and I both have brother and sisters, it's better for children to have companions. We talk about anything, so won't be alone on this. Actually, I don't mind whether the baby is a boy or girl. I still haven't decided on whether I should give birth naturally or via C-section. I saw my younger cousin, who had a natural birth, she was able to get out of bed quickly. I have nose allergies and often sneeze, also I'm worried the wound would be difficult to deal with after surgery."

Angela is expected to due mid-March, Ka Lok expressed before after he finishes up his current jobs, he'll take time off to spend with his wife. "Ka Lok should take off to accompany me, but I don't know if he's coming into the delivery room with me yet because he's scared of blood. If he has to work, that's fine too because when the time comes, I have 6 or 7 women in my family to accompany me, my domestic worker, mother, mother-in-law and friends, Ka Lok might pass out from being so frightened!"

Shooting Dangerous Scenes During Pregnancy

In Angela's latest TVB series Inbound Troubles, she had a bed scene with both Bob Lam and Roger Kwok, which has attracted a lot of discussions. Angela said: "I don't really have the guts to watch the series at home. Ka Lok has been getting off work early lately, so he's at home in the evenings. Earlier he saw a scene where Roger was trying to please me, and gave me a kiss on the lip, he looked at me and said: 'hey!' Ka Lok had such a huge reaction on an elementary intimate scene, I was already in fear thinking, what are the intimate scenes in the later episodes considered then? Next week, I have a scene where I try to seduce Roger and that is even more intense. The last bed scene I had with Bob, luckily he was out at a dinner gathering. I hope next week there's going to be a soccer match or something, so he won't pay attention to the series." Recall when Angela first started shooting this series, she was not over 3 months pregnant yet, therefore the cast and crew were unaware she was pregnant. No wonder she got so many bed scenes, flying, jumping and other big action scenes. Angela said: "At the time, nobody knew about my pregnancy, but I was careful. Just like one scene, I had to pretend to be sexy and eat raw oysters, I turned that scene down. My reason was I would vomit if I eat it, so the director let me off. However, I had another falling on the floor scene and asked the director if I could have a stunt double do it for me. At the time they didn't know I was pregnant, so they kept saying the cameras could accommodate me. In the end, I did the scene myself."

Now as a wife and mother, will Angela request to not have too many intimate scenes from now ont? "After I have my baby, I don't think I can get back into acting that quickly. After all, I want to concentrate on my baby. I can still do hosting jobs, but if I do shoot a series, I cannot just ask to not do this or that scene. I have to look at the script before I decide. I am still an artist after all, and the television scale won't go too over."

Earlier when Chin Ka Lok played All Star World Exam, he won the big prize of two air tickets to travel the world. It turns out this sneaky couple already had plans to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary late this year and perhaps hit "another target" and "have 2 babies and 3 years". Angela said: "Haha! We do indeed have plans to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary in November. By that time, the baby should be a little older. (You're willing to just leave your baby behind?) I will have to even if I'm not willing to. What I'm really not willing to do is let Ka Lok go with another woman. I asked him before, if I can't go, which other woman would he choose to go with? He said he'll go with Mimi Chu."

Toby Leung Takes Vacation to Babysit

The only reason why Angela has no worries is because her baby's "god mother" Toby Leung promised she'll babysit her newborn when the time comes. She said: "Toby agreed to help me babysit my baby girl. She has nephews and nieces, so she's a good babysitter. I am not worried at all." Good sister, Toby also admitted: "Angela's daughter is my god-daughter. Earlier they checked the schedule with me. All of Angela's big events in her life, such as marriage and babysitting, I handle it all for her. During this period, I will take time off and concentrate completely on taking care of her baby girl. They have to work hard and quickly have more babies, then I'll be really happy. I can take this opportunity to work hard myself (making baby)."

Lately there has been good news in the industry one after another. Following the marriages of Alex To, RubberBand's lead vocalist "Number 6", TVB artist Cheung Wing Hong, Kenneth Fok and Guo jingjing, yesterday it was 47 year old Chin Kar Lok's turn to marry his 37 year old girlfriend Angela Tong, who is currently 5 months pregnant with a "snake baby". Kar Lok and Angela have been dating for 5 years and are finally tying the knot. The couple chose to hold their wedding at Ocean Park, where the national treasure, giant panda, witnessed their marriage.

Angela and Kar Lok had a simple wedding ceremony with their parents, good friends, the groomsmen and bridesmaids witnessing their marriage. The groomsmen included Timmy Hung, Wilson Chin, Wong Cho Lam and Joe Tay; the bridesmaids were Toby Leung, Margaret Chung and Annie Man.

To avoid disturbing the giant panda, the wedding was kept quiet the entire time, but that didn't stop the newly weds from sparking love. The two were kissing nonstop and when Angela declared her love for Kar Lok, she became emotional and teared up. When the newly weds and their guests were having dinner, the giant panda was curious and "attended" the wedding himself.

Angela had on a 2 karat diamond ring, valued at several HK$100,000, which was given to her by Kar Lok and a sponsored wedding ring, valued at several HK$10,000. During the interview, Kar Lok expressed he was very nervous, but once he finished saying his wedding vows, he said he was flawless and made no mistakes or had any 'lazy sounds'. He was just like a 'fast version King Sir', who spoke clearly without an accent. He joked: "The only English words I know is, 'I do'." Angela stuttered while she said her wedding vows, but she blamed Kar Lok for it. She said she had to accommodate Kar Lok and use Chinese to say her wedding vow. Kar Lok comforted his wife and said a family should be relaxed and comfortable, don't have to be perfect.

The couple will be holding their wedding banquet tomorrow (11/15th) and share another good news with their guests. Kar Lok said: "Angela wants our guests to guess if the baby is a boy or a girl. The person who guesses correctly will win two business class tickets to Thailand. When the time comes, if its a strawberry cake then the baby is a girl and if its a chocolate cake, then its a boy." When asked if they named their baby yet? Kar Lok laughed: "We thought about naming him/her Chin Jeun Jeun. It wouldn't make sense for us to name the baby 'Chin Sai' (past life) or 'Chin Chat', right?"

Angela Tong, Kenny Wong, Christine Kuo and the winners of Miss Hong Kong and others attended the Pearl Dinner last night. Angela wore a five inch high heels without any problems, and expressed that the nurses did not prohibit her from wearing high heels. However, she admitted that her future husband Chin Ka Lok didn't know she was wearing high heels. Angela did say she will take extra care when she is going downstairs.

Angela said her baby is 12 weeks olds, and few days ago she went to the doctors for a check up. When they were monitoring the baby, they said the baby was very active. Angela said "Because the baby keps moving, we do not know what the sex is. Next time when I visit the doctor, we'll know. But I will not tell anybody what the sex is. I will wait and tell when I'm married and cutting the cake. If its chocolate cake its a boy, if its a strawberry cakes its a girl". Reporters smiles at Angela and points out thats shes pregnant, she could take plenty of rests and live as a queen. Angela replies "I need to work, I don't want to live as a queen. If I don't do anything, I'll easily put on weight. Because I am pregnany, I have put on a few pounds, and the doctors advised me to eat less".

When asking Angela about her past as being as a bridesmaid and playing harshly with the newly wedding couples, if she scared that her friends will take revenage, she smiles and replies "I'm not scared, they can't play with me, they will only mess around with Ka Lok. I'm scared of the groom seeing the bridesmaids when they show black face". Asking if they are ready to plan for the wedding, Angela explains that it will be scheduled to be held in November. She has tried on many wedding dresses, but she still hasn't chose a dress yet. She's worried that her body figure will change, and she'll need to choose another dress. Asked if she'll do a naked picture with only the baby bump, Angela smiles "I will take those pictures, and I will get Ka Lok to get involved too. But I want to find a substitute, maybe Kenny Wong then later stick Ka Lok's face".

Although the system for one vote each for Miss Hong Kong has failed, there's been rumours that the TVB ceremony award they will use this method, where all the citizens can vote for the king, queen awards. Kenny belives that system should be controlled. Because its one vote each, it could result in most popular role conflict, because there are more fans than artisits. Kenny says "Every year the awards are always different, not a hundred per cent standard, all just a game. As an artisit, your best, its very difficult to get everything perfect. Street friends praise is the best incentive".

Angela Tong and Chin Kar Lok are planning to have their wedding in November. Yesterday they went for a pregnancy check up and had happiness written all over. Yesterday Chin Kar Lok expressed: "Just writing up the guest list is exhausting. If we miss just one person, we're gonna die miserbly!" As Kar Lok and Angela decided to tie the knot in Thailand, they were invited by the Thailand tourism to have their wedding and honeymoon there. The couple plan to go on a trip to Thailand with Eric Tsang and their good friends before the wedding.

Also, when the pregnant Angela finishes all her series, she will be going on a business trip to Mainland for a day and then go on maternity leave. She exposed: "I did one falling down scene, at the time I asked the director if I could use a stunts double, but he didn't know what was happening, so he rejected me. Actually, the cast and crew really do look after me." Angela reveals her wedding dress won't be a conservative one because she wants to show off her body and expressed she's letting good friend Toby Leung handle her wedding planning.
