Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh revealed that she is worried that her condition will not fully recover by the time she has to begin filming her new series.

Last month, the actress, who was a no-show at the TVB Anniversary Gala, revealed that she had to forgo the event due to a sudden numbness in her hand that was discovered later to be a slipped disc, which caused compression on her collar bone nerves and thus numbness symptoms.

As reported on Net Ease, although the actress assured that she will be fine without surgery and has been undergoing therapy, Charmaine recently revealed that so far she has undergone only five percent recovery.

Speaking to the media at the Happy Valley Racecourse event on 7 December, Charmaine stated, "I'll be starting on my new series, "Apostle" in January, but right now my arm is still numb almost all the time. I cannot do action scenes if it goes on like this."

She added, "I hope to recover as soon as possible because it's a police series. There will definitely be action scenes involved."

Hong Kong actress Sheren Tang recently dismissed rumours that her conflict with TVB has cost her a TV Queen nomination.

According to Singpao, the actress, who attended the premiere screening of her new movie, "The Four II" with co-star Anthony Wong, dispelled such rumours, saying, "It's normal for an actor not to be nominated when they are no longer part of TVB."

The "Beauty at War" actress, who had not renewed her contract with the company and had been one of the biggest critics about TVB's working culture, stated that it's not her place to say whether the arrangement is fair or not.

She added, "That's how the system goes. It's normal."

She also denied that she had crossed TVB's top management with her outspokenness in regards to the issue of piecemeal scripts and absurd working hours during the production of "Beauty at War", saying that it was all pure speculations.

When asked about her critical comments on Weibo after TVB announced its nominations, Sheren replied, "I write things like that every day. At the time, I was in Luoyang and did not read any news about me."

Yesterday Steven Ma signed the contract in ShenZhen to collaborate with Wong Hung, the chairman of Zhong Gang Tao Yuan Media Limited in opening "Zhong Gang Tao Yuan Steven Ma Work Studio" in Beijing. Mr. Wong expressed the company will be supporting Steven to produce TV series and have plans to invest 10-20 million RMB each year to support Steven in film production.

Yesterday [Oriental Daily] contacted Steven, asked whether he's personally doing the casting for his new film? He expressed he is not sure whether he'll be the male lead yet, but for the female lead, he intends to cast Mainland actresses or TVB actresses whom he had collaborated with before. He said: "I've contacted Fala Chen already because her TVB contract just ended and she has more freedom."

Also, Steven disclosed the company is not only planning to give him two TV series and one film to work on a year, but he'll also get to work on music, films and TV series on different levels. He said: "I feel Mr. Wong Hung's proposed contract is very comprehensive, reasonable and a great degree of freedom. We almost have consensus on the work schedule and the details. The company will be giving me a manager, publicity staff and assistant soon."

It was reported since Queenie Chu broke up with singer Eddie Pang, she 'secretly' started dating Kenneth Ma after she was spotted in Kenneth's car. Queenie denied the relationship and explained she was in the same car because of environmental protection. Initially Queenie was going to take the taxi, but instead Kenneth just gave her a ride. Sire's mother stated that she thought about asking Sire to withdraw from showbiz and distance herself from the public, but decided to let Sire make her own decision when she learned that the actress loves her career after talking to her.

When asked about Wang Ziqi, Mrs. Ma admitted that she had spoken to the talent agent before, but said that Wang denied that the two of them are in a relationship.

"She [Wang Ziqi] said she was not a lesbian. I do not object to this person, but I object the relationship!" said Mrs. Ma.

Sire's mother also confessed that she was shocked when she saw photos of her daughter kissing Wang, saying, "Yes, I object to it, but it does not mean that I would leave her in the lurch."

New parents Moses Chan and Aimee Chan's tactics to avoid the paparazzi failed when the actress was photographed leaving the hospital without her husband.

As reported on HK Channel website, Moses revealed to the press that his wife and new-born son Aiden will be leaving the hospital around 5pm on 7 December.

He was also spotted waiting in the lobby of Canossa Hospital at the said time he mentioned.

However, unbeknownst to the paparazzi, Moses had planned for his wife Aimee to leave via a discreet elevator located at the side of the building that led to her room, while his appearance at the lobby was just a diversion to distract the crowd's attention.

A few moments later, a woman wearing glasses, who was presumed to be a family member, was spotted carrying a baby wrapped tightly in a blanket, with her face covered from view. Aimee tailed behind in style, looking slimmer after the birth.

However, in her hurried attempt to avoid the media, Aimee nearly boarded the wrong car.

Moses, who was disappointed that the plan did not work, explained to the reporters that the baby was just born and that his wife is still recovering.

TVB actress Joyce Tang has finally tied the knot with her boyfriend of two years, Matthew Chu.

Apple Daily reported that on 7 December, the couple solemnised their union in an intimate ceremony held at the W Hotel in Koh Samui, Thailand, attended by family members and closest friends.

Earlier on 4 December, Joyce, who was spotted at the Hong Kong International Airport, looked surprised when she was approached by the media.

However, the actress refused to answer directly where she was going, and only decided to disclose her wedding in a text message that was sent later that day.

The couple, who chose a island wedding instead of a traditional Hong Kong banquet, revealed that they wanted to keep the celebration simple. They also decided to hold it in Koh Samui since Joyce has always loved water sports.

"If we did it in Hong Kong, the celebrations would prolong for three days straight!" said Joyce, adding that she left the planning and preparation to Matthew instead.

However, Joyce said it is unlikely for them to hold another banquet in Hong Kong upon their return.

After her breakup with Marco Ngai whom she dated for nine years and a failed relationship with actor Derek Kwok, Joyce and the then 42-year-old Canon executive began their relationship in 2011.

Despite their separation after Matthew was revealed to be in another relationship, he later broke up with the other woman to be with Joyce. He then proposed to Joyce earlier this year.
