TVB GM Stephen Chan was involved in a corruption case earlier this year (March 2010) and has been on hiatus for half a year. It was rumored that he'll be returning to TVB late September and will appear on the The Shaw Prize (邵逸夫獎頒獎禮) held on September 28th. Yesterday reporters contacted Stephen and asked about the rumors, but he did not respond. As for TVB, foreign affairs director (Tsang Sing Ming) expressed that this is just a rumor. As of yesterday, there still wasn't any notice from TVB of any arrangements. Mr. Tsang also said that the corruption case had happened half a year ago, and does hope that it will come to an end soon.

Although TVB did not confirm Stephen's comeback, but it was understood that they are in the middle of arranging and will announce at the right time. Rumors say that Stephen will serve as a MC alongside Carol Cheng at The Shaw Prize.
