Last Friday (2/25), Sammy Leung and his partner Kitty Yuen talked about eating meat on 903 radio program Good Morning King. When eating pork, beef, chicken and rabbits, Sammy said that if dogs didn't have the Shih Tzu, Golden Retriever or Chihuahua breeds, then they will all be Mongrels and can be eaten at ease. Sammy's comment caused an uproar among those who love dogs. The comment was disturbing to them, especially the part where he directed the comment on how Mongrels can be eaten at ease. Someone on Facebook started a group demanding Sammy for an apology. In a short period, there were already 800 people supporting the group. The supporters were all denouncing that Sammy had no brains on discussion forums and said that he's long been a precedent to slip a tongue. For example, in 2006 he publicly announced the voting for "The Actress Want To Sexually Harass The Most". Some people even filed a complaint with CRHK and the Boardcasting Authority (BA). The BA stated that there are complaints by citizens that the program host talked about eating dogs.

Sammy still didn't know he disgusted the audience. Later on the program, he mentioned the issue again. He felt there are suspicions in 'playing to the gallery'. Since Sammy was unwilling to apologize, dog lovers plan to take it a step further and gather up the Mongrel dogs to the broadcast building and tell Sammy to choose one he believes that he can eat with ease.

Yesterday Sammy made a public apology on his program Good Morning King and said that he's been misunderstood. To any breed of dog, Sammy has unlimited support for them, if because of what he said made everyone misunderstand that he dislikes dogs or imply that other dogs are better than Mongrels, then he wants to apologize. Sammy said that he was troubled by this incident and was sleepless, causing his mom and friends to worry. He said: "I am not saying that I didn't say such thing, I am not a small potato, it's unnecessary for me to be that stiff." He also didn't want people to be unhappy, and hopes everyone will have a more loving heart. CRHK Foreign Affairs Department expressed that they have received opinions and reactions from the audience and handed the situation over to Sammy. On the program, Sammy provided an explanation.
