Regarding contract renewal, the two sides do not seem to have made any progress. Since winning the 2nd running up in the 1999 Miss Hong Kong, TVB has been pulling their resources onto promoting her. In 2011, she was crowned TVB Queen of the year with her performance in the drama series "Curse of the Royal Harem(萬凰之王)". TVB's current drama inventory with Myolie includes only "Walking with you(陪着你走)", "No Reserve(巾幗梟雄之諜血長天)", and "Lord Of Shanghai(梟雄)".
It's no secret that Myolie Wu and her 40 years old boyfriend Phil's relationship has been heating up in these past few months. Myolie once said she wants to focus more on her future and will spend more time on her relationship. There are also other companies that want to sign her up to a contract with a high price tag. With Myolie's contract situation still up in the air, TVB arranged Myolie to film a new drama series. Unfortunately, she declined and admitted she won't be filming any new series with TVB for the foreseeable future. She also expressed she's tired from filming "Wonderful Friend(奇妙的朋友)" and needs some time to rest. Regarding contract renewal, she didn't talk much about it and only said she needs more time to decide.
As for the drama series "EU Overtime Mission(EU超時任務)", producer Lam Chi Wah(林志華) said he will need some time to handle the situation after he found out Myolie won't able to participate. Since the drama series will start filming in a month, the drama crew has interest to ask Kate Tsui(徐子珊) to take over the role of starring actress . However, all the details are still being ironed out at the moment.
