A few days ago, artiste Shirley Yeung (楊思琦) accepted a radio station interview from Helen Tam (譚玉瑛) and disclosed the initial reason for becoming a single mother. 3 years ago, Shirley gave birth to a baby daughter and rejected to reveal the identity of her baby's father, and this caused many speculations and rumours. During the interview, Shirley expressed the persistent interviews from the media affected her mood and made her very worried. Hence, she went to the US for resting but it did not deter the media and said: "I have breakdown before but it does not affect the baby's health fortunately."

Children accompanied for second half of life

When asked about her decision of becoming single mother, Shirley replied she was getting older and giving birth was part of the life. Thus, she decided to keep the precious gift and ignore others' thinkings: "You cannot be depressed if people say you and you must become stronger if they want to suppress you. Nobody will accompany you all the way and children accompany you for second half of life. Money can be earn again if lose it but not the baby." As for relationship, Shirley responded to let the nature take its course, as she needed to work and take care of her daughter, but hope to meet her Mr Right at the same time.
