Steven Ma and Sonija Kwok were filming "Seven Days Love Isolation" in a hotel where a fire broke out in the middle of the night. Steven was desperate trying to save Sonija, as a result, his left arm suffered from burn. Leung Choi Yuen, the producer worked very hard to organize the fire scene down to minor details. There was a storm just before they started filming. He was very worried about the safety aspect of the filming. Fortunately, the shooting of the fire scene was completed without a hitch.

Steven told the reporter "The producer and the action director made the necessary safety precaution beforehand. I had the fire resistance plaster put on, even though I was in and out of the fire and with my left arm injured, I only felt the heat. I wasn't scared at all." Steven commented on how brave Sonija was, he said "She dressed so sexy and she had put on a wig which can easily catch fire. She was not worried about the heat and danger, good girl!" Steven carried Sonija out of the fire and he was not frightened at all. On the contrary, he felt very excited. Later on, Steven will be shooting another exciting scene in which he will be in the air with more dangerous actions. Steven revealed " I believe this is the most dangerous and exciting plot I have ever done since I entered the entertainment industry"
