Ron expressed through the statement that the contents in the magazine report basically completely fiction and believes this seriously damages his reputation as well as the involved artists. After discussing with his lawyer, he decided to send a legal letter to the magazine, asking for compensation and a logical explanation. Currently in Suzhou shooting a series, last night he accepted a phone interview and frankly said: "Next Magazine has already published false reports about me several times. In the past, I can tolerate it, but this time it is really over the line. They have stepped over my bottom line and I cannot not speak up. Then in the future, is it going to be all their game?"
When asked about the compensation, Ron expressed that he does not have the numbers yet, but feels that no matter what, he wants a public apology from the magazine at the very least. He admits that the story lost reality, he said: "Writing it like that can really cause an affect to my character, erasing all my hard work. I never relied on cheating or sticking (by someone). I had to endure through all those hard times, like late night work."
Kate Tsui strongly supports
As the female lead of this issue, Kate frankly agrees that the report does in fact have an impact on Ron. She said: "It's unfair to him, since he already decided to take legal action, then as a good 'brother' of his, I will support him no matter what." As for Sire Ma, she could not be contacted.
Ron's formal statement
On May 5, 2011, issue number 1104 of Next Magazine published a headline entitled 'Girl Butcher' Ron Ng Lives in Sire Ma's House and Eats off Kate Tsui' (姐仔屠夫 吳卓羲住馬賽屋食徐子珊). The report is absolutely inconsistent, and poses a serious impact on mine and the involved artists' reputation. After consultation with my lawyer, I hereby issue a legal letter to the magazine company, requesting for compensation and a logical explanation in order to retrieve my justice. I hereby put out this formal statement.
