Yumiko Cheng and her boyfriend Andy Leung had been dating for over 8 years. June 2012, Yumiko attended a friend's birthday party in Thailand and accidentally fell from a 30 feet high hill and was rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. After her surgery, she was in a coma for two days. During this time, Andy stayed by her side and promised to take care of her for the rest of her life. To show his commitment, Andy brought an engagement ring as soon as they got back to Hong Kong and offically proposed to Yumiko.

Its been a year since the proposal, the couple finally flew to Mauritius to take their wedding photos. It was understood, Yumiko plans to first hold a pre-wedding party on November 22nd in Thailand in which she will be paying for her guests' airfare and hotel stay. She chose to hold the party in Thailand because this is the place where she experienced life or death, she decided to unfold the next stage in her life in this place. She invited about 30 of her good friends to attend the pre-wedding party in Thailand, such as her EEG boss Albert Yeung, Nicholas Tse, Joey Yung, Twins, Jordan Chan and Sam Chan. Unfortunately, Nicholas, Joey and Twins were unable to take the time off and won't be able to celebrate with her. Yumiko then decided to hold a part 2 of in Hong Kong, but because of the issue with the location, its been postponed to next year.
