Yesterday Tracy appeared at TVB City for the blessing ceremony of new talk show All Things Girl (姊妹淘). She accepted interviews outside the recording studio, although she was very strong, she ultimately couldn't hold in her grief and started sobbing half way through the interview. She said in tears: "Actually the other night when I was filming Find a Good Man (搵個好男人), my family called me while I was on dinner break and said my mother's heart stopped beating. She was sent to the emergency room, while I rushed to the hospital immediately. When I got to the hospital, my mother's heartbeat came back, I stayed for 20 minutes and then went back to the recording studio. My family said when I left, my mother's heart stopped beating again. Actually when I was leaving, I thought about not going back to keep filming...because I knew if my mother could speak, she would tell me to go back to work and tell me to leave. Because the incident was very sudden and I never wanted this day to come, it caused an impact to all my colleagues at the studio... I really wanted to do my best on my work, I don't want to be affecting others."
Tracy continued: "My mother's passing was just too sudden...I really miss her. (Did you get to see her for the last time?) Yes. I was there when her heart stopped. Thanks to the producer for letting me stay. (Any final wishes?) Actually about 4-5 days ago, she could no longer speak. Her condition was getting worse by the day, but we didn't know how it would turn out... on her last day..." Tracy was sobbing so hard she couldn't speak and was unable to continue the interview. A colleague took her to the side to rest.
