Not fair to middle-aged women
Even 1989 Miss Hong Kong winner Monica Chan expressed her support on Weibo. Yesterday she accepted an interview and strongly stressed that Miriam Yeung was not being emotional: "I saw the two words 'remaining women' on the news and felt that I have to voice out my opinion. This term is strange, not fair to women, why are they only talking about women and not men?" Monica stressed: "If I wanted to get married, I would just do it for love, not the age!"
Just turned 30 years old, the single Joey Yung felt that age is not the focus, a splendid life is what's important. She said: "Why do they have to talk bad about us? Female experiences can make others have more charm, the word 'remaining' sounds pretty unpleasant. Don't label such valuable girls, no love does not mean we have nothing. Treasures are found underground, maybe the best one is me! More importantly is to love yourself and to live life the fullest. I will not let other people affect my mood."
As for Taiwan's pretty girl Da S was seen as a strange person by her friends and stopped introducing guys to her, she was accused to be the greatest 'remaining women': "That is highly impolite, saying 'the remaining women' is just like saying that the remaining women are 'scums' and means that women are useless in the human race, the reasoning is the same!"
