There has recently been an increase of artists buying houses, besides Cecilia Cheung's over HK$100 million luxurious home, Jessica Hsuan also spent over HK$10 million on a new independent home in Sai Kung that serves as a love nest with her boyfriend. It was rumored that Jessica's veterinarian Western boyfriend proposed to her on Valentine's Day. Jessica was extremely touched and agreed instantly. The couple plans to get married early next year in a foreign land.

Reporters contacted Jessica to clarify. She only admitted to a part of the rumors: "It's rumored that my boyfriend and I are getting married and that the new house I bought was going to be our love nest. Actually, my boyfriend didn't proposed to me. The only truth to the rumor is that I did buy a new independent house, but it is absolutely not used for a love nest after marriage. The unit is just for my parents to live in. I personally love looking at houses, my parents saw a few units and loved this one, so I got it. (Support the current housing market?) I wasn't concerned about that, if it's right then I buy it. (Did you already look out for your love nest too?) Let my boyfriend look, we do not have plans for marriage yet."
